Nickelback is the best worst band of all time. They write catchy songs, (mostly songs that can easily pick up girls) and have a good time. They can but on a hell of a show as well, saw them with Seether a while back. There is faaaaar worse music out there than Nickelback.

There's nothing worse than people who have strong opinions about music but can't back them up with reasons.

I can tell you why I don't like Nickelback. I don't like Nickelback because their lyrics are mostly the party-hearty Mötley Crüe-type of crude sexual innuendo. They're a modern day glam band.

Chad Kroeger has also got himself into the business of writing hit singles for other similar bands with very similar lyrical content (Theory of a Deadman, My Darkest Days) that have flooded rock stations recently.

There is nothing inherently wrong with any of this. The musical part of it is fairly inoffensive modern rock.

There's also nothing wrong with saying that I think Nickelback was better before every radio single had the lyrical inspiration of "I like your pants around your feet."

I think Silver Side Up is a solid, catchy album and The State was a decent piece of 90s grungy rock.

But please, carry on. Literally Hitler, etc.

TLDR: Nickelback post-2001 has shitty lyrics.
