tbh I think you're right; the majority of posts get downvotes regardless of their content. But you might get 4 or 5 upvotes. But only if you wait a month - after this one got so high and was seen by so many people, yours would definitely get beaten to death if you submitted it now.

Incorrect. They are almost always female, but it is possible to have a male calico. It is somewhat of a "disorder" when it occurs, as the cat must have two X chromosomes in addition to a Y chromosome, and they are nearly always sterile.

It occurs when the male has two X chromosomes (with the calico traits) so all normal calico cats are female. It is an X chromosome linked trait and two Xs must be present for it to occur.

Edit: By normal, I meant having only two chromosomes, excluding cats with the genetic abnormality of having three chromosomes.

No, males can present the calico trait but they must be XXY. The presence of the Y chromosome would make the cat a male. He wouldn't be female just because he has two X chromosomes.

That's what I said. Two X chromosomes are required. I didn't say that the male cat would be a female,but in a normal calico cats, with only two chromosomes, it is a female. Statistically speaking, it's much more likely for the two cats in the picture, or any calico cat for that matter, to be female rather than male.
