      Eh, I saw mine as a useable investment. After a while I narrowed my collection down to my favorite 5 pairs. I probably spent $500- 600 total on them and kept em in great condition for 3-4 years. Sold em a few months ago for $850 total, so I got to wear them in that time and made a nice profit.

              On top of the auction, they are extremely limited releases (as mentioned) of the Nike model shoes from Back To The Future. They don't autolace (yet) but they do light up and look the same. So not only are they a limited charity release, but they are a movie edition of an iconic shoe, so it has lots of different appeal. 1500 pairs I think total.

                      I'm a Dodger fan living in the Bay Area and I actually respect this guy a great deal. He's wacky, and I think he is very, very bright, plus he does good charity work. He's been in the announcing booth during his rehab, and I think he is trying to position himself for a post-player career in broadcasting, and he'd be quite good and funny as hell. Lord knows if Joe Buck, who is dumb as a post can get a job in the booth, then this guy deserves a gig with a mic.
