I think old people with tattoos is probably the coolest thing about getting old. My grandpa, 85 years old, has never had a tattoo but wants one now.

Since we're on the subject, is there anything different in the process for the elderly? Does it not heal as well or as quickly? What are some of the reasons he shouldn't do it? I think it would be incredibly bad ass if he did it, I just want to know if anyone else has seen a similar experience, either from friends or family or if you're an actual tattoo artist. Thanks!

This really makes you think. So often the older generation is just written off as "that old guy".. but when you look at this it really, at least for me, reminds us that they were once young. As obvious as that statement is, sometimes I feel like we don't consider that when we look at old people.

I love seeing old people with tattoos. I will often times ask him if they still like them and are glad they got them and I've never heard a negative answer yet.

I must be in the minority here, but I think these people look ridiculous. I think it has more to do with my feelings of tattoos in general. I'm not against tattoos. I'm against tattoos when you can't find any uncovered skin left. I guess I'm just very conservative. I wouldn't respect someone any less for having that many tattoos, but I'd be lying if I said that I take them as seriously as if they didn't have them covering their whole body.
