I really like Walter jr.s' acting. He is so underrated.

[–]AdrianBrony 30 points31 points ago

seriously, that scene more than any other just tore me up.

[–]MrIAnderson 12 points13 points ago

I'd say he is the strongest character and I would only be upset if he was hurt.

[–]AdrianBrony 36 points37 points ago

I think the show missed a golden character development opportunity by not having hank interact with Walt Jr more while Hank was still recovering and not able to walk very well.

I mean like in late recovery where hank can walk about as well as Jr.

just imagine that sort of interaction.

[–]eclipse98[S] 4 points5 points ago

I had never thought of that. That's a great point.

[–]DrOOpieS -1 points0 points ago

So many Emmy's.

[–]stb14808 7 points8 points ago

Him, Jesse, Hank, and Walter. Everyone else can die.

[–]IntentToContribute 2 points3 points ago

I kinda want Hank to die.

[–]elscorcho0o0o0o 26 points27 points ago

I kinda want Walt to die.

[–]IntentToContribute 8 points9 points ago

I think the ultimate upset, Walt kills Jessie.

[–]elscorcho0o0o0o 17 points18 points ago

Why would you even put that though in my head :(. Walt Killing Jesse would probably be the most upsetting thing to ever happen on TV. This is not an exaggeration.

[–]stevejFTW 8 points9 points ago

Jesse is going to kill Walt.

Once Jesse finds out everything about what he did it will happen.

I also think this series will end like Scarface did.

[–]elscorcho0o0o0o 1 point2 points ago

Jesse doesn't have it in him to kill Walt. I don't think he has the mindset to kill anyone at this point.

[–]hamboner21 -2 points-1 points ago

I wouldnt be mad about that. That would actually be a good ending. People obviously like Jesse more than walt at this point and most people would probably like that.

[–]DopeMan_RopeMan -1 points0 points ago

I'm just hoping Walt gets loaded up on crystal before he starts bucking hoes with that M60.

[–]howdydoodyarmy 0 points1 point ago

Walt Jr. kills Jesse

[–]hamboner21 0 points1 point ago

I really want Skyler to die

[–]iSmite 0 points1 point ago

no, i don't. He is a cool fellow. I although want Skyler to die.

[–]simplecosine 2 points3 points ago

Schulayerher is, altogether, a decent woman - well, except for the adultery. She covered for Walt far too long, but she's really not the bitch everyone seems to think she is.

[–]ericshogrenYou got me. 3 points4 points ago

Schu...layer...her?

[–]iSmite -3 points-2 points ago

I kinda agree with you with she saving Walt's ass while laundering money and the way she got the car wash. She could have at least supported him a little i this season. She already knew that Walt is a cook, but still she supported her in the last season, but this season is like the director really wants to make the viewers hate her.

[–]Jess_than_three -2 points-1 points ago

Are you fucking kidding me? No. Walter is the very first to die, in my book.

[–]stb14808 1 point2 points ago

Wow. It's amazing to see someone with a completely opposite perspective as mine who (I assume) enjoys the show just as much as I do.

I'd love to change your mind. It's really easy to forget why Walter has changed the way he has, and what it was all for. Might I recommend re-watching some earlier episodes?

[–]Jess_than_three 0 points1 point ago

I definitely want to do that, actually! Knowing where shit goes, I really want to go back and re-watch the earlier seasons - or, well, probably the whole damn thing.

My thing is, he starts off pretty all right, but he just slides so effortlessly into being this disgusting pride-driven monster. Season 1 Walt, I would not want to die. Season 4 Walt, damn, that guy should've tipped off the DEA and then shot himself, solving the whole "my family's in danger" problem entirely. Wouldn't have had to, you know, poison a freaking kid.

Seriously... "I'm in the empire business"? What about (to probably butcher the quote) "Nothing is going to stop this train"? You made back your money, you awful motherfucker, now let it go and stop ruining people's lives.

What the hell ever happened to "I just need [<$800,000], and then everything will be fine"? When did it turn into "I have to buy amazing cars for myself and my son"? And am I the only one who finds his manipulations of everyone around him - as in the episode where he told Skylar about the watch, and how she'd come around too, in essence that he'd make her love him again; as in the case of him having Jesse stay for dinner, knowing how awkward it would be for Jesse himself, in order to fuck with his wife?

I mean....

Yeah.

Season 1 Walt? Not a bad dude. Now, though? Awful, despicable person.

PS: Yes, I love this fucking show. :)

[–]spdrstar 0 points1 point ago

I don't think the Brock thing was that bad, what got me is being ok with the kid and Mike. After Mike I have no emotion over Walt. He could be burned alive with hydrofluoric acid for all I care.

[–]Jess_than_three 0 points1 point ago

You don't think him poisoning a child (in order to manipulate his partner!) was that bad? o_O

I agree about Mike, and I agree about his reaction to the random kid being shot, though, for sure.

[–]ImmynimmyNegro y Azul 0 points1 point ago

What scene was this?

[–]ProfoundSolitude -1 points0 points ago

The morning after Jesse beats the shit out of Walt.

[–]WalterWhite_Jr 0 points1 point ago

This shit is so bogus.

[–]Teekoo 1 point2 points ago

This scene was amazing.

[–]Cannondale1986 44 points45 points ago

[–]Software_Engineer 1 point2 points ago

what was the significance of this scene? he wants to practice being dominant over his brother-in-law. he wants his son to look up to him instead of the brother-in-law. and maybe he wants to get back his son for not looking up to him (eg going by flynn) by making him drink so much to throw up?

[–]cautiousW 4 points5 points ago

I think he was forcing Hank to be the father figure "to my face" so to speak. Making him do it right in front of him was a show of dominance and made Hank realize that it's kind of not his place to be mentoring Junior. It's easy to be a father figure when the real dad isn't around. Not so easy right in front of him.

[–]Chronic_Cannibal 111 points112 points ago

Not even w-waffles?!

[–]gopens71 86 points87 points ago

"No junior, I'm a terrible father"

"T-t-tt-t-t-t-toast?"

[–]hamboner21 -2 points-1 points ago

hahaha this made me laugh out loud for real, and its so simple

[–]playaplayadog 5 points6 points ago

was walts sr. crying genuine or was he doing it to get walt jr out his house? it was a touching scene.

[–]MrMagpie... I'm allergic to tacos 4 points5 points ago

I don't have a doubt that it was sincere. He was drugged, beaten up, alone, and on the verge of being murdered. I think that what he said of his father also explained much of his motivation to refuse treatment at the beginning.

God I miss this show. COME BACK!

[–]raghavakrishnaWhatever, man.. 23 points24 points ago

I'm generally not a fan of breakfast jokes but this one cracked me up..

[–]greasywiener 14 points15 points ago

I like them if they're well done, this is my personal favorite: http://i.imgur.com/ATJe7.jpg

Same, the horse has been beaten--hard-- but it's definitely not yet dead. Laughed out loud on the train.

[–]zx109Methhead -2 points-1 points ago

bet you got a lot of this

[–]donald_margolis 9 points10 points ago

Do you have this scene anywhere on youtube? One of the best if you ask me.

[–]Lampmonster1 17 points18 points ago

I just watched the end of season 3 last night and was blown away all over again by the finale. Walt playing weak and pretending to sell Jesse out to trick Mike. Then his abrupt switch over to psycho Walt the second he's back in control. Then immediately to the juxtaposition of Gale in the same situation and Jesse being torn apart by what he has to do. Unbelievable, and the acting is insanely good. I have to say it's probably the best ten minutes of television in the past ten years.

[–]eclipse98[S] 4 points5 points ago

Definitely. I think that was my favorite season finale of the series. It's hard to believe that so much drama and emotion can be conjured up on a television show

[–]zeppoleon 0 points1 point ago

It's hard to believe that so much drama and emotion can be conjured up on a television show.

Actually no it's not...TV shows are more popular than movies now because people are realizing that you can get more out of a well-made TV series than a 2 hour movie ever will.

These hour long shows that span over several seasons create a deeper emotional and physiological investment. It's no surprise that a TV show such as Breaking Bad can make the watcher feel do much emotion for these characters because while they were developing we were also developing IRL.

To be involved in a hit TV show that is as good as it gets like Breaking Bad changes a person. Everyone involved in BB have invested so much time and energy into the show. They spend years as the character they act, and this creates such a special bond between actor and character that in moments like Walt and Junior speaking it becomes real. It's real emotion you see on screen.

It's awesome that we have shows like Lost, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc. because it's basically like a really...really long movie. A movie that has several plot points, a movie that goes into depth on certain characters. You can do things in these shows that movies cannot do.

[–]AlphaEnder.38 Snub Nose Revolver -1 points0 points ago

Hell, even shows that have to fit into thirty minute segments are good. I just finished re-watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, and I was blown away by how good the show really is. I had watched it before, but hadn't realized how good it was the first time I watched it. But that is, in my opinion, a fantastic show, and it only has half an hour at a time to build the characters.

Edit: erm. Okay? I believe it to be a valid viewpoint and one that fits the previous comment pretty well. Maybe everyone here thinks I'm talking about the movie?

[–]Strider11o7 1 point2 points ago

The way he says "Your boss is gonna need me", woah

[–]egg_timer 5 points6 points ago

i personally like this one better (the caption was "season finale"): http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m7eb37voNw1r2f0j8o1_r1_1280.png

[–]StayFunky 4 points5 points ago

Can someone refresh my memory? Which season/episode did this happen?

[–]magister0 7 points8 points ago

S04E10 "Salud"

Walter Jr. drives in his birthday car to Walt's condo and rings the doorbell. Though inside, Walt doesn't respond until Walter, Jr. leaves a phone message threatening to call 911. Groggy, his face still battered from his fight with Jesse, Walt opens the door in his underwear and lets Walter Jr. in. After lying to his son by attributing his wounds to a fight that came out of his gambling addiction, Walt breaks down tearfully blubbering, "It's all my fault." Walter, Jr. comforts Walt and takes him back to bed. As Walt drifts back into sleep, he mistakenly calls Walt Jr. "Jesse."
