Personally, I'd start with lightest to darkest. But it's difficult because some cats are in colour and others seem to be greyscale

this is almost how id do it. Though I'd put the black one on top then follwo your pattern.

So: Black-Black/white-black/orange/grayish-Orange/white

At first that's what I was thinking, but there was something off about the black/white to black/white/orange transition. I'd have to see it. Either way would be much more acceptable than the current order though. (Hooray!)

But if you put the Tri-color cats After the orange/white ones(if they were second to last) the black in the tri colors would be to far away from the other ones.
