Pet/Green Laser Safety Announcement: Most cheap green lasers that you can buy do not come with an infrared filter installed on them. This is extremely dangerous to anything that has an eyeball. Prolonged exposure will cause eye damage. IR bounces off of walls too; shiny/gloss ones better than matte finishes. SO, unless you want to have a blind kitty one day, you should use a regular red laser, or get some IR filtered goggles, and strap them to your cats dome. The latter would actually be hilarious. Someone should draw that shit.

Actually, that depends on how far away the sniper is. If he's far away enough, he would have to aim above the cat, and let gravity take the bullet to the cat's height. In some cases a sniper has to aim 30 feet (or 10 meters, roughly) above his target in order to hit his mark.

Yes they could adjust the range of elevation to compensate for bullet drop but if we are talking about a shot from more than 800m then you would have to take into account the wind by using a kestrel, realistically snipers will not use a laser for long range shots as it does nothing but give away your location and it's silly to use on two kittens. I honestly would have suggested to go for close quarters in order to assassinate the kittens but whatever works I guess.

Lasers are a straight line no matter what distance, bullets will drop more as they lose velocity and only lose velocity and extreme ranges. creating a curved trajectory. The best a sight can do is be dead straight and allow the user to correct for wind and bullet drop which could vary with each shot.
