Yeah if I take less, mucous clogs my esophagus and I can't breathe. It also occurred to me that they might not last the full 24 hours, so I start with 2 in the morning, take some more when I feel my nose running in the afternoon, and then a few more before bed. I don't even get any drowsiness, but sometimes I start feeling the urge to chew on my tongue. Then I back off the dose. My doctor also thinks it's extreme, but she doesn't argue with the results. ??

Not being a pussy. But I don't chew my tongue hard... just a sort of an itch I guess. Anyway, I've probably actually got Crohn's or something but the docs just haven't figured it out yet. :/ But if so, then I'm not sure why loratadine seems to help.

Good god is this true...

I've spent the last 7 days constantly choking on mucus. I get seasonal allergies every time the weather changes drastically, but the transition from summer to fall destroys me every year.

Had just gotten back from a nice little foray to Vegas. Day after, allergy flu season comes on strong. My head pressure never normalizes, I develop a cough because my throat is constantly coated in thick mucus, and I feel as if I create about a gallon more every 5 minutes so clearing my body of it is futile.

My nose gets absolutely uselessly plugged. Did I mention I get crazy anxiety if I can't breathe through my nose? I imagine scenarios where, if, RIGHT NOW I was captured and gagged, I would suffocate to death. It's hard for me to get to sleep, even though I know I'll be breathing through my mouth the entire time without too much issue while I'm asleep. Getting asleep is a nightmare, though. I'm fucking insane in an allergy flu.

So, I take a few crazy hot showers a day, go to work, suffer, sleep, and ignore the entire god damn world while playing Diablo 2. I'm not exactly in Hell today after so long, but I'm STILL coughing up god damn mucus and a stuffy nose. At least I can breathe through it for the most part.

this, ALL THE FUCKING TIME. I've had 3 surgeries on my sinus's. (sinuses) (sinusi?) Sinusi is better. I've had 3 surgeries on my sinusi. I take waliton-d (clariton-d generic) every day. No one i know (except for my dad, who gave me this curse) understands how terrible it is to never fucking breathe right. I too get anxiety when my nose is stuffed. My mood changes drastically, and I hate being around people because I get self conscious about blowing my nose/sniffling. I hate when people try to tell me, why don't you just blow your nose? Oh, why the fuck didn't I think of that. After 12 years, that's all I had to do? Fuck you allergies, my deepest fuck you.

Its terrible when your tonsils swell up too. No sleep. For some reason I was congested like that with swollen tonsils throughout the second half of my pregnancy. Plus, being 50 lbs heavier doesnt help breathing while on your back. In the hospital, it got so bad I had a major panic attack. My temperature and blood pressure shot up higher than I've ever had it go. I could feel the blood pumping in the veins of my hands. I was in tears, puffing on my inhaler, hoping it'd help. I never knew what a panic attack was like before that, and I feel so had for anyone who goes through that regularly. You just feel like you're going to die and there's nothing you can do.

Life Pro Tip: Buy local made honey and mix some in tea/coffee. I didn't believe it and used to get a sinus infection every year, I tried it and now I am 3 years running with no sinus infection. It slowly introduces the pollen to your body so your body builds up resistance against it. Someone more technical feel free to make it sound more doctorish.

I have seasonal allergies. I usually get hit hard with the allergy symptoms, then it clears up. Then my motherfucking asthma kicks in for a week or two.

This year, I've had allergy symptoms since around August 20th and my asthma kicked in about a week ago.

I wake up every morning and vomit up all of the snot I swallowed during sleep. Sometimes I do this multiple times a day. I've tried numerous medications and even shots that are supposed to build up my immunity. Needless to say nothing works and I hate my life. That is all.

Nah I've had tests done to see what I am allergic too and I'm pretty much allergic to everything in this state. My wife and I are trying to figure out how to move out of this state to help with my problems. Not sure if it is related, but I do have multiple cysts in my lungs as well so I'm sure that doesn't help. On a side note, the test to check for the cysts was one of the most uncomfortable things I've ever went through (and i've had my head stapled back together). They shove a hose with a camera on the end up your nose and down into your lungs and the entire time you are gagging and gasping for breath. Not fun.
