                    what is it about freakishly long noses? my dad got us a bunch of masks once when we were kids, those elastic-banded bunny, dog and cat noses mostly, but one was a long Pinocchio nose. he used to get such a laugh from how much it scared the living shit out of my brother and I. he used to keep it up on a shelf and if we were acting up, he'd say, "do you want me to go get the Pinocchio nose?" I vividly remember staring up at that shelf like it held the embodiment of all darkness. my brother and I asked him about it a few years ago, it still made him laugh so hard he was nearly in tears.
