  1. No screenshots, or pictures with added or superimposed text. This includes image macros, comics, info-graphics and most diagrams. Text (e.g. a URL) serving to credit the original author is exempt.

  2. No gore or porn. NSFW content must be tagged.

  3. No personal information. This includes anything hosted on Facebook's servers, as they can be traced to the original account holder. Stalking & harassment will not be tolerated.

  4. No solicitation of votes (including "cake day" posts), posts with their sole purpose being to communicate with another redditor, or [FIXED] posts. DAE posts go in /r/DoesAnybodyElse. "Fixed" posts should be added as a comment to the original image.

  5. Submissions must link directly to a specific image file or to an image hosting website with minimal ads. We do not allow blog hosting of images ("blogspam"), but links to albums on image hosting websites are okay. URL shorteners are prohibited.

  • If your submission appears to be filtered but definitely meets the above rules, please send us a message with a link to the comments section of your post (not a direct link to the image). Don't delete it as that just makes the filter hate you!

  • If you come across any rule violations, please report the submission or message the mods and one of us will remove it!

Please also try to come up with original post titles. Submissions that use certain clichés/memes will be automatically tagged with a warning.

What's the appeal of gaps?

[–]LookInTheDog 22 points23 points ago

Wide hips + skinny (fit). That's pretty much it.

What ISN'T?

[–]TheDudeWhoKnocks 14 points15 points ago

I don't know! I can't justify a "fetish" no matter how hard I try. Maybe because gaps are always with skinny legs and stuff and that's not preferable to a thigh n ass man. Still, she's a hot Asian for sure.

Anyone with that much area to lay down pavement on would most likely not have a problem forking over that amount of money. What really kills is the shipping.

Source: I'm a terrazzo installer.

[–]idiotstick 10 points11 points ago

My terrazzo has holes in it. What's the best stuff to use to repair it? The holes are up to penny-size is diameter from carpet nails. What do you suggest for stripping and resealing?

[–]Gs305 49 points50 points ago

I fill the holes with white cement if the floor is white. I then mix in the matching marble aggregate. The patch should stick out of the floor by about 1/2". After a couple days of curing, you gotta grind the patch down with a diamond cup so that the aggregate is exposed and is flush with the floor. The grinding will leave scratch marks which you need to take out with the next grit up (from 24 grit to 80 grit) with either another diamond cup or grinding stone.

After the second hard abrasive you can switch to sand paper. It's better to do it with a spinning grinder rather than an orbital sander for example. Oh and make sure it's variable speed, you want nothing to do with a grinding stone going 10,000 rpm.

Strip with a buffer and floor stripper and put whatever sealer you want. I usually crystallize after diamond polishing to 800 grit, not even going to try and explain that one.

[–]lilaooo 3 points4 points ago

this is why terrazzo is so special! a hand crafted shiney ohhh sooo shiney masterpiece

You obviosly don't understand how cheap and abundant land is in the mid-west united states.

[–]Gs305 65 points66 points ago

You would have a point if I only said, "anyone with that much land can afford it." The price of land is different depending on location but the price of laying that much concrete doesn't vary THAT much.

[–]Picklebiscuits 27 points28 points ago

Yo, terrazzo guy. In the concrete industry we say "pour" concrete, not "lay". We lay bricks or pavers. Just an FYI.

[–]Gs305 17 points18 points ago

I know I pour terrazzo! I lay my girlfriend. ;) I figured as I was typing that 'pour' might throw some people off. Not sure why I thought that.

[–]Gs305 5 points6 points ago

[–]greensy 9 points10 points ago

GIEßEN SIE DEN TERRAZZO in german

[–]Smilge 10 points11 points ago

The only problem is that the picture isn't actually concrete, but a gravel road.

But yeah, concrete itself is very expensive.

[–]bedintruder 12 points13 points ago

That actually could get pricier in the long run if you wanted to keep this look long term if it cost $10,000 for the glow stone.

We have a gravel driveway about 200 yards long. Aside from having to fill potholes at least twice a year, we also have to lay down a new layer of gravel every 2-3 years. That shit would be ridiculous if it was a $10,000 load of gravel every time.

[–]Basbhat 2 points3 points ago

what if you could tear up the previous gravel and recycle some stones

[–]Smilge 2 points3 points ago

I'm guessing the work of salvaging the stones would cost more than just buying new ones.

[–]saladdin 5 points6 points ago

MIL's drive way is 1/3 of a mile long.

Here, you don't have "a lot" of land until you hit 100 acres.

[–]Gimli_The_Dwarf 1 point2 points ago

Hey, can you help out a friend of mine? She used a magic eraser to get sharpie off her floor and now has this

Any ideas?

[–]Gs305 10 points11 points ago

I would suggest cleaning the whole floor. I use a heavy floor grinder but you can get away with using a floor buffer with diamonds to abrade the floor. The apply a mix of hydrogen peroxide and powder hair bleach and leave the poultice on the floor for up to a week. Then polish and seal. Haha I'm making it sound easy.

[–]webheaded 16 points17 points ago

If it makes you feel better, nothing you just said sounds "easy" in any way.

[–]stuffedbuffalo67 2 points3 points ago

do an AMA!!

[–]xanthrax33 9 points10 points ago

Nope, not if bought in bulk, which I imagine either he, or the contractor would of for this quantity.

Edit: Just for clarity; I'm sure someone may have said this or worked it out. But they probably weren't aware of the fact that there are sites out there to order random stuff in massive quantities. Shipping could be an issue though.

[–]angry_bitch 5 points6 points ago

Thanks for not bitching about it being a repost. http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/400x/26667102.jpg

[–]gnomeskull 254 points255 points ago

Actually, that picture, which is shown on the COREglow website, is labelled there as "SCATTERED ON A GRAVEL DRIVEWAY AT NIGHT." So not actually "mixed into concrete."

But looks neat, and although I wouldn't do my whole driveway, I'm considering this for highlights in my back yard now. Would be great for along paths and stuff. Maybe even at the campsite... Hmmm.

[–]mahm 81 points82 points ago

Prolly best to set them in concrete or the neighborhood kids will scatter $10,000 worth of your rocks all over town.

[–]discohitman 63 points64 points ago

Also, I wouldn't mix into concrete before pouring (how many would be submerged?), I would scatter on the concrete after pouring, so they are all on top. Then you could press them down so they are flush, then seal over the whole drive.

[–]RoMoBandit 30 points31 points ago

This is the only person in the whole fucking thread with a clue about how these things work.

[–]nofelix 37 points38 points ago

[–]neelshiv 104 points105 points ago

Highlighting the edges of paths or certain points in your back yard would be significantly less tacky than glowing up your whole driveway.

[–]Nocturnhabeo 31 points32 points ago

Although I normally agree that doing something this over the top is tacky it does kinda serve a function as well and looks just bad ass.

edit: spell fail

[–]asherrd 4 points5 points ago

[–]Gorillaz_Noodle 8 points9 points ago

Does it say how much it would cost? Is it really 10k worth of pebbles?

[–]hart1212 144 points145 points ago

This is pretty cool, but I feel that it could get old pretty quick.

[–]BasicDesignAdvice 209 points210 points ago

i just realized that that is basically the definition of the word tacky.

[–]sgtpppr 28 points29 points ago

I would think this driveway is a perfect addition to a house that uses only lava lamps for lighting.

[–]butnugtt 12 points13 points ago

Where is this house you speak of and is it currently on the market?!

[–]sgtpppr 17 points18 points ago

All of Tampa, FL.

[–]The_Literal_Jerk 79 points80 points ago

Actually, THIS is the definition of tacky: tack·y/ˈtakē/ Adjective:1)(of glue, paint, etc.) Retaining a slightly sticky feel; not fully dry.2) Showing poor taste and quality: "his tacky decor".

[–]DarkLoad1 12 points13 points ago

Thanks, Dwight.

[–]neelshiv 13 points14 points ago

Covering your driveway with glow in the dark rocks might seem kind of cool, but in the long run, it definitely embodies the second definition of tacky.

[–]catsfive 12 points13 points ago

*It is not to my taste and therefore a stupid choice

[–]Gorillaz_Noodle 4 points5 points ago

Cool and practical is tacky? (granted this wasn't also expensive)

[–]neelshiv 8 points9 points ago

Having a major portion of your landscape glow in the dark is a bit tacky.

[–]Highlighter_Freedom 16 points17 points ago

Why?

[–]TheGoomba 53 points54 points ago

Because this is Reddit and we're not allowed to like things that anyone else likes. One guy said it was kinda cool, so now everyone else has to point out why they have superior taste.

I'd totally fuckin glow my driveway. Not to this extent, but maybe half as glowy. More subtle.

[–]iDontSayFunnyThings 11 points12 points ago

I guess you are the one with superior taste now!

[–]ChalkyPills 6 points7 points ago

Not if you live in the country and have no neighbors. Then it's just awesome and provides an effective way to scare away nighttime varmints.

[–]newbizguy 11 points12 points ago

Reddit: where your ass crack hanging out of your pants, kitschy junk art tattoos and gaudy piercings are TOTALLY COOL AND ARTISTIC, but a subtle glow effect on a concrete driveway that is quite practical is 'tacky'...nice

[–]latticusnon 21 points22 points ago

I like how you named three things reddit generally hates and then said that we liked those things.

[–]Geekotronic 1 point2 points ago

Subtle? Really? That's what you're going with? And why do people keep saying this is "practical"? Since when do people have trouble seeing their fucking driveways at night? Like everyone without glowstones scattered on their driveway is occasionally careening off into their yard and running over their mailbox? Come the fuck on.

I don't necessarily agree that this is "tacky" exactly but calling it practical in response makes you look silly.

[–]LookInTheDog 11 points12 points ago

Have you ever lived outside of a city? It's pretty damn hard to see your driveway on nights with no moon.

[–]Geekotronic 3 points4 points ago

Haha, yes. I grew up in the middle-of-fucking-nowhere PA. My nearest neighbor was 0.5 miles away and my driveway was a 0.25 mi long winding dirt road with no secondary lighting. On one side was a wooded downslope covered in brush and old stumps.

But, you know, my fucking cars have fucking headlights so I turn those on when it gets dark and they do a pretty good job lighting up things in front of me you ridiculous goober.

[–]Teledildonic 11 points12 points ago

But, you know, my fucking cars have fucking headlights so I turn those on when it gets dark and they do a pretty good job lighting up things in front of me you ridiculous goober.

Because no one ever uses a driveway when not in a car.

Ever. It is in fact impossible to walk on a driveway, the only way to cross its surface is the use of wheels. Science has not yet discovered the reason for this.

[–]LookInTheDog 5 points6 points ago

I s'pose if your driveway is straight, it's not a problem. If it's not, and your friends are all coming over and they aren't used to it, you're gonna be pulling a car out of the ditch on the side of the driveway. Not that I'd know from experience or anything.

[–]beeblebroxh2g2 1 point2 points ago

Try driving with your lights on.

[–]Teledildonic 7 points8 points ago

Sometimes people walk on their driveway. I know, it sounds like an urban legend, but cars are not the only thing allowed to use its surface.

[–]newbizguy 7 points8 points ago

A pedantic jackass on reddit? WELL I NEVER...

Have you ever backed out of a country driveway at night? It's not especially hard, granted, but an illuminated driveway couldn't hurt....jackass

[–]Fyrus 12 points13 points ago

Only really useful for helping delivery drivers find your house.

I suppose it was misused, but outstandingly bad? I don't know if I would go that far..

[–]Zorbick 25 points26 points ago

I would do this as an edge to paths, or patterns sealed onto a patio.

Who needs those silly solar lights along paths when you can have GLOWING ROCKS, amirite?

[–]arbitrage10 16 points17 points ago

URITE

[–]fancy-chips 8 points9 points ago

HERITE

[–]TishraDR 9 points10 points ago

Yeah, I bought four hundred dollars worth and you could barely see them at night. I had them sprinkled at the head of my driveway which is really hard to see at night, but still couldn't see the driveway. So I went out and picked them all up and put them in one big pile. They would glow, but as soon as a car drove by they would disappear. I gathered them up again and put them all together over the stones at my cat's grave. Plenty of sunlight all day long to "charge" them and they don't fing glow at all. Biggest waste of money.

[–]Svx_blue 8 points9 points ago

The reason that they appear to be so bright in the picture is that the company has some very large black light flood lamps shining down on the drive way. You could actually see two of them in the upper left of the picture (two purple-ish orb looking things) - and of course some photoshop involved as well.

[–]chesterfieldian 21 points22 points ago

$10,000 for enough glow stones to fill up a driveway

or

$540 for three gallons of glow in the dark paint + $30 worth of river rock

Arrange pebbles in one layer without touching on a large sheet of chicken wire, bent up at the edges. Dip tray in large, flat container of glow paint and allow to drip dry over the paint. After a few weeks of dipping and drying, you should have all the river rock painted for about $600 bucks. Scatter throughout your path or decorate the edges.

OR you could just lay out all of the rocks on newspaper and spray paint the tops, but that could be much more expensive.

[–]MagnusExcelsior 6 points7 points ago

Do they glow through the night? If not, how long do they last?

[–]LaunderingKarma 10 points11 points ago

I'm interested to know how many years they last before they stop glowing.

Does the chemical degrade with exposure to the elements & sun?

[–]Neededathrowaway100 10 points11 points ago

Website claims they last 10-20 hours after being exposed to light for about 20 minutes.

[–]MagnusExcelsior 12 points13 points ago

Wow. Far better than that of my childhood toys.

[–]The_Swoletariat 18 points19 points ago

All day in the sun, for a shitty 5 seconds of glowing in my cupped hands.

[–]LaziestNoveltyAcct 0 points1 point ago

doesn't matter had sex....wait what are we talking about?

[–]doingthisforlulz 27 points28 points ago

May want to check local ordinances before building such a driveway. It would be a shame to pour thousands of dollars of concrete only to have a city council order it to be demolished and redone without glow in the dark features.

[–]TimeKillerSP 43 points44 points ago

wouldn't that require an oddly specific ordinance?

[–]doingthisforlulz 10 points11 points ago

I guess it depends on the location. In a city, at least in California, the local building department has to review and approve all plans before construction can begin, or else a code enforcement officer can show up, halt the project, and order its demolition. Anything strange like a glow in the dark driveway will not get approved, at least in a residential area. I don't know how it works in unincorporated areas.

[–]martellus 17 points18 points ago

Our homeowner's association once sent us a letter about our mailbox post being a wrong shade of brown. This year they sent us a letter saying to put the grids back on the bottom half of our window. Our windows don't have grids on the bottom. They have been in for 4 years now, and our neighbors have the exact same while not getting anything about it.

[–]doingthisforlulz 36 points37 points ago

HOA's are way worse than the government, even in California.

[–]yonthickie 11 points12 points ago

These HOAs are purely American and yet Americans seem keen on liberty. Are they really so controlling?

[–]martellus 18 points19 points ago

YES. They are so bitchy, its like they need their little suburban power trips.

[–]Throwawaychica 2 points3 points ago

Put a headless cat in their mailbox, that'll shut 'em up.

[–]Nickbou 7 points8 points ago

They serve a purpose, but often that purpose has been expanded beyond what's necessary. HOAs help manage community resources, like a pool or clubhouse where activities can be held or sometimes even landscaping maintenance. This is what HOA fees go towards.

However some HOAs also restrict certain things about the houses and property under their jurisdiction. Things like the acceptable colors for your house, what types of landscaping you can do to your own lawn, etc. The idea is to keep the neighborhood looking clean and orderly which keeps property values up.

The downside is that it restricts what people can do with their own home, sometimes to the point of absurdity. When buying a house, you often don't have a choice of joining the HOA. If the house is in an area with an HOA, you pay it or find another house to buy. The HOA is also ruled by it's members, so by paying your HOA you can voice your opinion about how it's run.

At the end of the day, it's still a private agreement among citizens that people voluntarily agree to.

[–]haroohara 2 points3 points ago

Let's say im buying a foreclosed home from a bank in an area controlled by an HOA. Does that HOA have any legal jurisdiction over the home or in someway have the power to prevent the bank from selling me the house?

Because if they are really just private agreements between private citizens I don't see why I can't just tell them to fuck off and do what I want.

[–]I_Pee_Sitting_Up 8 points9 points ago

People living within the confines of an HOA have few to blame but themselves. At least as it pertains to verifiable rules. Understandably, some HOA bodies are a bunch of little SS Nazi wannabes...and for those people, well, a well placed golf ball through their window at night might do the trick.

[–]Throwawaychica 3 points4 points ago

Whenever I think of HOA, always reminds me of that X-Files episode.

shudder

[–]MegainPhoto 2 points3 points ago

Love that episode. Off to watch it again.

[–]mystikraven 1 point2 points ago

Are you black? That might be it.

[–]BunsTown 45 points46 points ago

It's things like this that make me sympathetic to the libertarian party.

[–]arbitration_man 3 points4 points ago

This is my issue with Libertarianism. I have heard it summed up as, "I have the right to do anything that doesn't impede upon your right to do anything."

So what if I think it's my right to listen to music really loud. But you think it is your right to live in peace and quiet?

In other words, it would just end up in a society like we have now where it is a balancing act between rights and obligations between different people's perspectives on shared spaces.

[–]BunsTown 5 points6 points ago

I don't know much about libertarianism, but I think that if something you do directly affects someone else's comfort or safety, the person affected has the right to take action. i.e : someone upstream is polluting your river. But who knows? I guess I was speaking from a human standpoint. If you want your driveway to glow in the dark, then I think that should be fine.

[–]latticusnon 6 points7 points ago

The main issue is that it assumes that people are generally good, smart, and think long term. Businesses would theoretically not need outside enforcement of minimum wage because higher wages are good for the entire economy.

In reality paying extremely low wages is way better in the short term, so that's what they would do.

[–]Idk_Matt 15 points16 points ago

That is a terrible summary of Libertarianism.

[–]mahm -1 points0 points ago

Yes, you're right - it's a balancing act.

My right to make excessive, loud noise stops where your ears end. My right to swing my fists stops where your nose begins.

Some people prefer to have their rules written down and agreed upon by all - others would rather call the cops when their neighbors throw a loud party or trash all around their yards.

HOAs do a good job of maintaining home values - they don't let your neighbor thrash their property and park RVs and cars all over their yard and in the street, for example.

People agree to give up some of their "rights" in order to secure their investment and enjoy a peaceful, conforming neighborhood. Others might rather live out in the woods and blast their stereo all night long and bother nobody but the bears.

[–]burrowowl 0 points1 point ago

Why? It's not the state saying no, it's the HOA.

The HOA is private citizens entering a contract, which Libertarians have a hard on for.

[–]GodOfAtheism 21 points22 points ago

At no point in the post you are replying to, or the post that it was replying to did either of them say anything about an HOA.

[–]ThirdPoliceman 3 points4 points ago

But look at it the other way. Your neighbor puts up a glow in the dark driveway and an ugly third story with a windmill. As the only house like it in the neighborhood, it suddenly becomes a less desirable area. Your own home value drops.

I love freedom as much as you do, but reality says what other people do sometimes affects the value of your own things.

[–]SunbathingJackdaw 22 points23 points ago

I think that's a guy I'd like to live next door to. He sounds like he knows how to have a damn good time.

[–]drays 2 points3 points ago

Actually, Nobody really cares if the next guy puts up a windmill, or a third story. They care about cars on blocks, dilapidation, and rtting heaps of garbage.

Source: I asked a realtor if stuff like this affects sale prices of nearby homes. He said almost never.

[–]BumCum 6 points7 points ago

How would they know it glows in the dark too? Who looks at properties at night?

[–]doingthisforlulz 2 points3 points ago

The glow in the dark driveway would be a great marker for "jack booted thugs" to land on...

[–]CSFFlame 3 points4 points ago

dump luminescent dye in the pool when you hear the black helicopters?

[–]Annoyed_ME 4 points5 points ago

I think a HOA would be the greatest hinderance to doing something like this. I don't see why any city would care.

[–]drays 1 point2 points ago

Why would it not be approved? What code clause would it violate?

[–]McFeely_Smackup 3 points4 points ago

Or a rather typical Home Owners Association covenant.

they're nazis.

[–]SickSalamander 0 points1 point ago

In Flagstaff, it might violate their light pollution regulations. Sadly, they are one of the only US cities that does anything to address light pollution.

[–]mrferret 3 points4 points ago

Why not just add another quarter inch of concrete in that case? It's not like they'd get their rocks back by tearing up the old driveway.

[–]derpthebass 44 points45 points ago

I really thought I was in /r/minecraft for about 3 seconds

[–]gattofila 2 points3 points ago

Stupid HOAs. :(

[–]OstrichOuttaNowhere 2 points3 points ago

Dude, how many times did you have to go to the nether to get all that?

[–]polluxuk 1 point2 points ago

I'd like to bounce my balls like space hoppers all over this drive.

[–]stuckintheanimus 5 points6 points ago

won't be so cool when the driveway leads all the zombies to your house

[–]Paleface95 3 points4 points ago

Was expecting something to do with minecraft :D

[–]iab61826 2 points3 points ago

It looks like the movie Avatar took a shit all over that driveway.

[–]Personsen 2 points3 points ago

Looks like a hotel room under a black light.

That's the best thing I've ever seen.

[–]scurvydog-uldum 0 points1 point ago

I've always been anti-property ownership, but this makes me want to buy a house just so I can do this to the driveway.

[–]planetyonx 2 points3 points ago

What texture pack are you using?

[–]AlbedoSagan 1 point2 points ago

As an astronomer, a driveway like this would drive me crazy.

[–]chieflovedrug 3 points4 points ago

I would be kinda pissed off after a while if I was their neighbor.

"Goddamnit it's four in the fucking morning and the Johnsons' driveway is glowing through the fucking windows!"

[–]Spookaboo 4 points5 points ago

These aren't 1000w lightbulbs we're talking about here. You probably wouldn't notice them unless you were looking at his driveway, and in the dead of night who gives a shit.

[–]junkit33 4 points5 points ago

This is cool for 5 minutes, then ugly for a lifetime.

[–]killernomnom 1 point2 points ago

I read the title and thought I was on /r/minecraft

[–]bieberhole82 3 points4 points ago

That is so cool! It may be expensive and may get old but it will always amaze people!

[–]SarahLoren 4 points5 points ago

One day when I can spend $25,000 on a driveway... this is what I'm gonna do.

[–]Akeii 3 points4 points ago

Next on the 5 o'clock news: Mystery thief steals stones from Chernobyl waste site!

[–]McFeely_Smackup 3 points4 points ago

It's like that deleted scene from Avatar where the Na'avi were slaughtered by wolverine.

[–]Cpotter07 3 points4 points ago

My grandpa actually did this to his driveway and despite spending over $6,000 bucks on it in less than 6 months almost all of the stones shifted to the side of the road so its usless now ill post some pictures when it gets dark.

[–]DogRavioli 4 points5 points ago

Should have used a gravel stabiliser like this

[–]dexaler 4 points5 points ago

Looks like an Avatar screenshot.

[–]BlueYoshi250 2 points3 points ago

insert minecraft reference here

[–]capt_slim 1 point2 points ago

Fucking brilliant

[–]swedishdelight 2 points3 points ago

I purchased 20LB for my daughter to mix with potting soil for a fun rose garden. That must have been a FUCKING FORTUNE!

[–]crusaderofsin 0 points1 point ago

How to piss off your neighbors. Lesson #2.

[–]Arktri 0 points1 point ago

It's cool and everything but I think it would get old fast. Maybe just outline the path with them?

[–]wutz 0 points1 point ago

could have used a more uniform distribution there

[–]ChrnoIV 1 point2 points ago

"Welcome, burglars!"

[–]Melnorme -1 points0 points ago

Cumstain Drive

[–]DeFex 0 points1 point ago

These days it must be pretty difficult to find anywhere outside it gets dark enough to see those.

[–]r0bski2 -1 points0 points ago

Why the hell doesnt everyone have these?

[–]sarpedonx 0 points1 point ago

x-post to /r/trees

[–]gnovos 0 points1 point ago

Make this every street.

[–]goodbyesolo 0 points1 point ago

Needs more saturation.

[–]FrankCashio 0 points1 point ago

man that would be awesome if all roads were like this

[–]CRIZZLEC_ECHO 0 points1 point ago

So wait, these stones glow on their own? Or do I need moonlight/blacklight/daylight (is there a charging sequence or does they flouresce on their own?)

[–]sladay93 0 points1 point ago

O MY GOD

[–]zamboniman46 -1 points0 points ago

cool! wouldnt want it on my driveway. byt cool!

[–]Yage2006 -1 points0 points ago

Makes me wish I had a driveway just so I could do this.

[–]canisdormit -1 points0 points ago

Now this is what the internet is supposed to be for!

[–]Andunelen 1 point2 points ago

Into concrete? Not likely. Whatever you mix into concrete gets a nice coat of it, glow in the dark feature lost.

[–]micahgtb 1 point2 points ago

Ok now all I want to do is to recreate The Milky Way in my driveway.

[–]AdmiralSkippy -1 points0 points ago

...Well that's terrible.

[–]Codename_whiteness 0 points1 point ago

The neighbors must looooove you.

[–]theragemaster 0 points1 point ago

thats so cool as in awesome as in amazing as in sickk as in ill

[–]havesometea1 1 point2 points ago

I remember seeing this on Fark.

[–]EmperorSofa 0 points1 point ago

Is it the kind of stone that retains a bit of charge after exposure to sunlight? Otherwise this effect is only going to last about a month or two.

[–]felloutthevault 0 points1 point ago

How long will these last? Months, years? It's magical!

[–]ChickendantZZZ -1 points0 points ago

YES!!!

[–]ak8865ak 0 points1 point ago

I just built an outdoor kitchen, and used glow stones in the concrete countertop - that stuff is expensive! It was a bit of a letdown to see how tiny the little packets were for the amount I paid for them!

[–]4zuresky 0 points1 point ago

First thing I thought was Photobacterium.. but still very awesome!!

[–]Ace1999 1 point2 points ago

This. Is NOT meth!

[–]llcbdavis 0 points1 point ago

where do you get glow stones, cause this is neat

[–]supn9 0 points1 point ago

Real cool, but probably just for a bachelor pad. What woman is going to want green sticking out in the driveway? haha

[–]sexi_squidward 0 points1 point ago

When I own a house...I'm doing this
