Shrug. I view this the same as religious people who try to disavow other, more radical, religious people. Sure, it's not you, but you have to accept that some people aren't going to make the distinction.

I was very friendly toward the idea of feminism, but college beat it out of me. I met plenty of people who make your comically overstated feminists seem quaintly non-confrontational. I've been called a rapist because I was born male. I got called out at "Take Back the Night" for showing up to be supportive.

You want to work toward equality for everyone? I'm all about that. But fuck your ideology. So, as far as I'm concerned feminists can fucking die. And I don't want to hear, "Oh we're third wave now! I'm sorry the second wavers treated you like shit, but now it's all different!" There are still plenty of people out there who pervert your agenda for a personal power grab, or a little hate mongering, and there always will be as long as your group is women first instead of people first.
