My dog once had a bot fly maggot in the skin when we lived in Pennsylvania. I was petting her and noticed a bump in the skin under her coat. I spread the fur and saw a hole. First thought was that someone had shot her with a pellet gun, but then I saw a beige colored "thing" stick its nose out of the hole for a moment to breathe. A visit to the vet and it was easily pulled out, just as shown in the videos.
