When I was a kid I always used to imagine that teeth were like a conveyor belt and the new ones were pushing out the old ones. Now I'm an adult and I've just found out that is exactly how it happens.

IIRC from the last million times this was reposted, the bone over the teeth has been removed to give this view, and in reality you wouldn't see this in an undisturbed child skull. There would be bone over it.
