You're going to feel the temperature drop 30 degrees and a terrifying fear run through your body. You want to run but you can't, you want to scream but you can't. Slowly your son rises to his feet with the same hollow expression on his face, and slowly raise his hand and point at you. Wait, he seems to be a little off, he isn't pointing at you, he's pointing behind you. With your heart pounding you slowly turn around and let out a bloodcurling scream as you see this demon coming at you full speed and lunge for your throat.

Not a parent so it was even creepier when my 6 year old nephew would stand in the corner of the guest room staring at me until eventually I woke up. It was like all my nightmares come true. New house owner here too. We have a long, long hallway in our place, with a light switch outside every door. My partner will sometimes be a jerk and turn the lights off when I'm halfway down, just to make me shriek.

Now I'm going to be thinking of this happening every time I go down there.

I always imagined a similar situation. I imagine a stained glass door right in front of me as I am going to open it. Then, just then it slams open at an incredible speed and a piercing sound fills the air. As I feel the goosebumps in my back a monster like the one depicted rushes through the door frame and charges at me. All this within a second of the door slamming open. I am completely paralyzed as the monster grabs me and kills me.
