As someone who has a gigantic fist, it does something much more amazing. A black hole appears in the center of the GIF and eats all the stars, creating the illusion that no stars are there at all.

So i guess i got it. Because your fist is over it, you can only see the stars for a short time, making it look like they just fly by too fast. Without it, you can "see them coming".
