It's very, very close to exactly matching the tempo. Also, the beat is pretty fast. So, the image changing falls behind and is off for a few beats, let's say 3. By the 4th beat, the image is back on track, staying synced for a good 10-12 before falling back out of sync again. So, it's actually unsynced the entire time, but the differences in timing cycle from a tiny, invisible amount to a clearly visible amount.
