I live in Utah and we're building a new house. We were out looking at the construction progress and the couple next door walked out to meet us. The husband (bluntly) asked if we were a gay couple, and after I said yes he got the largest grin and shouted to his wife who was still walking over "Honey we're getting a gay couple in the neighborhood!" to which she smiled. I'm glad we could make their day so much and we're pretty stoked to get drunk with them when we move.

That is so sweet my eyes swelled up.

God, I'm such a pansy sometimes. :)

Thanks! We're both actually pretty excited to finally live in a neighborhood where we will know our neighbors. Up to now it's never happened for either of us because we're not Mormon, which excludes us from most of the mo-hood events that are planned at the ward. So far we've met quite a few of our neighbors and they're all awesome. Mostly because they're transplants from out of state.

For a second I thought you said you are mormon, and I was really confused for a second. haha

Glad you've found a good place to live with good neighbors. Lawd knows that's never easy, and these days finding sociable neighbors is like hitting the lottery.

Good luck to you guys!

I'm gay and I've never seen an episode of Will and Grace... Should I be worried...?

:o Educate yourself man. It's hilarious! It's not just for homos, it's just great comedy.

I've actually heard that Salt Lake City has a rockin nightlife and a fun gay scene. Are you near SLC? Can you confirm or deny?

[–]msbutah 1 point2 points ago

We're in the south end of the SLC valley and we do not lack for bars or friends. That said, we're not really 'scene' boys but it's definitely there.

In NY, it's a competition. Whenever we see another gay couple, I think, "Fuck those bitches, we're cuter and we'll get more attention." Then I proceed to stick my tongue down his throat.

I live in a small-ish city with tons of gays (college town) and I sort of thought the same thing. I thought it was along the lines of "we're hotter than that couple" or something. Honestly though, living in a small town when my boyfriend and I see another gay couple we're usually like "Hey Dave, Howdy Tom! Great BBQ last weekend."

[–]LuxNocte 1 point2 points ago

I enjoy that small town gay couples are usually named Dave and Tom. ;)

We only feel threatened when we see another interracial gay couple... who are better dressed than we are.

[–]CakesArePies 10 points11 points ago

I saw a gay couple recently. They were too well dressed and coordinated to have not been dressing together.

Where do you live ... rural Oklahoma?

[–]mooglesama 26 points27 points ago

You have no idea how life-affirming it is to see another gay couple living in rural Oklahoma.

[–]civitasdei 1 point2 points ago

You know, we should hold hands more and be that couple for someone else. :D

[–]mooglesama 0 points1 point ago

Okay. :)

[–]kneekaps[S] 11 points12 points ago

I'm in southern California. I still get pretty damn excited.

[–]bouncycastles 0 points1 point ago

It's pretty exciting even in a fairly liberal college town in NC.

My favorite caption for this is:

"How I feel at the ATM when I'm not sure how much money is in there."

[–]CAPSLOCK_IN_MY_ANUS_ 4 points5 points ago

You imagine fisting them? ;D

[–]kneekaps[S] 0 points1 point ago

Of course I did.

[–]dickndonuts 0 points1 point ago

Same here! I love seeing couples out and about. :)

[–]MrTomMarvoloRiddle 0 points1 point ago

I would love to see a gay couple, would really make my day.

No, this is the reaction you have when the top comment you were expecting hasn't been made yet.
