Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports). "Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

"Generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission.

You're sol to find a stealth game equally as good as Syphon Filter.

The Syphon Filter trilogy on PS1 wasn't so much about stealth as it was about savagely abusing the stun gun and setting everyone in the level on fire from as far away as possible. It's one of the most action oriented stealth games out there (moreso than Metal Gear).

What made the Splinter Cell and Thief so reliant on stealth was that they downplayed the player's combat capabilities (enemies were strong, you had limited fighting options, you died easy) while providing obvious (and sometimes not so obvious) paths that you needed to take if you wanted a higher chance of survival. Splinter Cell was fairly linear compared to Thief in that regard, and Syphon Filter was Call of Duty to Splinter Cell's Far Cry 2.

But I loved the hell out of Syphon Filter 1 - 3. They were so damn fun and I never quite understood the hate that 3 got. Shame that they botched Omega Strain's single player (if you weren't playing co op, it was absurdly difficult...especially since they shut down the online server), while Dark Mirror was serious weaksauce and Logan's Shadow was....ok....but not nearly as good as the PS1 series.

Honestly I couldn't agree more, this has got to be one of my most favorite ps games.. challenging yet fun.
