This quote kind of got me thinking. Keep in mind the bible was written by many men over the course of history, and some of the verses and be applied quite literally if you take away the God connotations.

The son of man

So, that would be the children of the men, the only "real" people back in early times (which would explain why God, Jesus, all of the disciples and basically everyone of significance was male)

did not come to be served, but to serve

Meaning the children have to "serve" and support the elders in their old age. This is a throwback to how things actually were around the time of the bible being written.
