Haha I find it funny that so many people are surprised by that. I was a marching band kid, so I went back to see them perform and cheer them on. It's a tradition where I'm from.

I feel you. Ironically enough, the girl I went to pick up from high school when I visited home was the Drum Major. Music is how we ended up dating- I never did marching band but ended up a percussion major in music school. It helped that I had an amazing percussion ensemble to play with all through high school. We did cool stuff like this every year. I knew all of the percussion and band people in the grades below me, but since I didn't actually do marching band, I didn't go back and visit- I just waited til they were done with stuff and then we hung out. But I know a lot of marchers who did.

The coolest. I went back to high school like 6 weeks into college because the girl I was dating was still in high school. And by "went back to high school" I mean "waited across the street in my car to pick her up". Unfortunately we broke up that weekend- but at least we both saw it coming, so my going home that weekend was almost necessity. After that, I only went home when I had literally no options for places to stay at college.

Suprised by the amount of shit you're taking here OP. I live in the UK and they practically encourage you to check in at the high school to see your old teachers.

If it helps many people from where I'm from always come back to my HS. Not to brag but the place where i'm from everyone is pretty cool with everyone. With a school population of 1.5k i think. But yeah theres no cliques really jocks hangs out with your so called nerds etc and even so called "debate club" hang out with say basketball jocks. And everyone is in good terms with a friend to friend relationship with their teachers.

however.....I think it's because EVERYONE does tree in my school.
