Yeah, I know someone who broke their leg landing a jump, and it wasn't even close to that high. It got really gnarly when they had to find a way to get back to shore.

It states it in the video further up the comments.

You'd have to be a pretty dedicated windsurfer to have the locational awareness to be able to pick a specific beach out of the shot given in the video. If you were to take a hundred pictures of segments of the gorge that brief, they'd all look pretty much the same.

Also, it'd be even more impressive if you were able to pick Doug's Beach for certain out of that, because that seems to be looking at the Oregon side of the river (notice the wind direction).

Saw that happening en masse one June there. A couple guys waited WAY too long to let go, and were higher than the smokestacks on the riverboat we were on. You could have killed yourself out there that day.

Do you have any idea how much strength and endurance it takes to windsurf, let alone hold your craft in 60 knot blasts 30 feet off the ground? He tried to ride it back down but a stronger gust ripped it away. I surfed in this exact location once and I packed it in and left it to the pros. LIKE A BOSS.
