I wonder if the Dragonborn would have some Akatosh-shaped throwing knives. He is the hero Skyrim deserves, after all.

You are lucky to work at CNC milling unit. I would have made lot of pendants there if i were you. How do you feed the input? Image? what format?

It's weird pseudo-progamming callled G code that consists mostly of Cartesian coordinates and vectors. Specifics vary machine to machine. Not as complex as say c++, but in CNC programming, when you do the math wrong expensive stuff breaks. One time I forgot a decimal point, and wound up fusing a $500 drill bit to a $200 part.

You can't directly cut parts from an image, but software like this does exist.

This was cut using G-Code on a Techno CNC Plasma Machine similar to our HPLC Series Plasma machine.

I made the object in Illustrator then imported it to Vectrec VCarve Pro to create the toolpath.

There are more sophisticated methods, such as Solidworks 3D designing then MasterCAM for toolpathing but that's really like using a supercomputer to calculate 2+2.

This way was quick and simple. Big fan of this method for making simple 2d shapes to cut.

A friend of mine used the same means (plasma cutting) to make these for all his friends including me.

I'll take 2 please.

Plasma cutter, why not Dead Space?

[–]benso411 0 points1 point ago

Can I buy one of those from you?

[–]TrucidoPC 0 points1 point ago

You could make a large profit by selling the dragon symbol!

(I want it).

I'd actually really love to affix that to my kindle's jacket...
