Brutal man. It's back in most of Anchorage. Did it get pretty windy down there too?

[–]AlaskanSable 0 points1 point ago

Live on the hillside, wind was near 90 mph. So many trees down!

Ya it was crazy! Listening to Johnny Cash by candlelight watching leaves and rain fly about was pretty cool though. 10/10 would go through a power outage again.

The one time I was happy to live in the Valley!

[–]alaskanloops[S] 3 points4 points ago

It was horrifying.

While here in Southeast, I didn't experience one bit of bad weather. But, my girlfriend and other friends were telling me all day how most of Anchorage was down.

[–]alaskanloops[S] 1 point2 points ago

Trees and debris everywhere.

[–]Jalenofkake 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, I saw pictures of trees and plants that had been blown over all over Facebook

As soon as I saw the power outage part I had a feeling you guys were also from Alaska xD.

Alaskans unite!

When the power comes back on, "Did somebody roll a five or an eight?"

[–]kingbarnabyjones -1 points0 points ago

I do believe this is an example of a Forced Meme.

[–]alaskanloops[S] 0 points1 point ago

Ya possibly. At least it's a true story. Well, if you replace year with hour.

[–]Chochojo -1 points0 points ago

Don't you have this thing called a wrist watch?

[–]alaskanloops[S] 0 points1 point ago

What's a wrist watch?

[–]Adnanwalker410 0 points1 point ago

From my recent studies of Ancient artifacts it seems to be some type of instrument or tool of some sort that measured the time elapsed throughout the day.

[–]alaskanloops[S] 1 point2 points ago

Ahh I believe I've heard tell of such things during my studies of skrying devices.

[–]Adnanwalker410 0 points1 point ago

mmm yes yes when my analysis is complete we shall compare notes and piece together what we know of the 20th century

[–]ProfessorMcHugeBalls 0 points1 point ago

Well correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it was an old, old wooden ship used during the Civil War era.

[–]alaskanloops[S] 0 points1 point ago

You are a Professor, and have huge balls do I see no reason to dispute that claim.

[–]Chochojo -1 points0 points ago

A thingymajig that goes on your wrist and tells the time

[–]JonSnowsGhost 0 points1 point ago

said the same thing when I slept for almost 30 hours straight after a super tough week at school
