I was in a situation vaguely similar to that post. I went into my lab TA's office to make up my lab final because I was away at my Grandfather's funeral. Anyways after I turned in my final, she started telling me some sob story about how she was on a bus that got in a wreck and she was the only one that wasn't hurt. ANYWAYS, she asked if I believed in god, I said no. Then she said what do you breathe? I said, "Air, oxygen, other gasses." She said, "How do you know?" Then I said something along the lines of because I'm alive. Then she said something like well you can't see god but he keeps you alive. Only thing stopping me from face palming and calling her an idiot was because she hadn't graded my final yet!
