There is a time and a place for everything, my friend. The internet is a place where you only thank people when they go out of their way to help you. You don't thank people for saying something you agree with, you don't thank people for posting a stupid animated gif, you don't thank people for liking the same band as you, you don't thank people for ANYTHING unless they have helped you in some way. You getting a chuckle out of a stupid gif is no reason to thank anyone, especially since everyone on reddit posts solely for karma's sake, they wouldn't give a fuck if they saw you in the street being raped by horses, they would laugh at you and walk away, probably to post a picture or video on reddit for more karma at your expense.
