Beware of trading scammers!

A subreddit for anything related to games (but not sports). "Related" means that posts must contain gaming-related content in the link/post body, not just a "forced" connection via the title or a caption added to the content.

"Generic" image macros/memes (where the character itself is not related to gaming) like Scumbag Steve, Good Guy Greg, etc. will be removed. Something that "reminds you of a game", or "looks like something from a game" is also not an appropriate submission.

i was waiting for a dragon to fly into the picture, glitching out and contorting its body in ways that would seem impossible, crashing into the mountain side, spitting fire wildly at nothing.

basically a bunch of unrealistic nonsense that would make the "incredible feats of realism" title ironic.

The lack of base game content hurts it more imo. The questlines are just so simplified, armor and weapons got the nerfin from Oblivion (and morrowind) in terms of numbers. There's simply "less" to do than any other ES game, mods or not. Its certainly the prettiest and most polished ES game, but its hardly the best.

We're looking at a beautiful shot of a mountainside in Skyrim, showing how realistic this game is. Of course, this is probably on a PC with 6,000 terabytes of RAM.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up. Here I thought it was a poorly looped animated gif of a game that has been meticulously captured and framed in much more impressive ways.

This gif is actually one of the many less impressive of the game. I know it's a gif and all, but it's low res, it's got gif compression (again, obviously), and it's not a perfect loop.

If you really want to blow peoples' balls off, make a screensaver-worthy version with better looping. Remove the man walking. 1920x1080 at the least.

Otherwise this isn't even an accurate portrayal of how beautiful the game REALLY is. It looks like crap in comparison.

The game is not THAT beautiful. It's good, especially at night with Auroras, but look too closely and the illusion shatters fast.

It can be modded a lot more beautiful though, at the cost of stability and performance. (stopped doing that after constant CTD/freezes).

And that still leaves the limited draw distance, it's especially horrible when you're walking on plains. I've tried upping it through various means, but after some horrible issues with uGridsToLoad where it fucked with 5 of my saves forcing me to go back to a save 5 hours prior, I'm very careful.
