The entire video is super creepy.

[–]brightfalls 9 points10 points ago

Goddamn chair.

[–]Knikkz 1 point2 points ago

whenever I feel the wind like this it reminds me of something very, very important...

[–]manhorsedeerfish 10 points11 points ago

Are you breathing, Christian?

[–]Beastface86 10 points11 points ago

I don't see him doing a lot of farming. I don't think that guy is really a farmer.

[–]Alxariam 5 points6 points ago

I dunno, he seemed pretty excited about vegetables... maybe just a farming enthusiast?

[–]I_Like_Upvotes 2 points3 points ago

farming children

[–]ashmo_nicole 5 points6 points ago

Cocka doodley doodley doo!

[–]the_boaster_toaster 8 points9 points ago

Well that was just about the most pedophilic thing I've ever seen.

[–]preske 12 points13 points ago

In all fairness, someone edited it that way.

[–]mistermegusta69 3 points4 points ago

Can someone confirm to me whether this is a screamer or not?

[–]mr_mia_wallace 4 points5 points ago

it isnt.

[–]Captainshithead 2 points3 points ago

It's not, it's a mixture of strange people in animal costumes, pedophilia, and yoga.

[–]EarthRester 0 points1 point ago

it is.

[–]thehumanear 0 points1 point ago

[–]DSTFU 0 points1 point ago

Remember to breatheee

[–]geordilaforge 0 points1 point ago

Why...does this even exist?

[–]thetoneranger 1 point2 points ago

[–]YourCommentIsInvalid 94 points95 points ago

I always turn into a black kid when I stand up too fast.

[–]AnalBurns 9 points10 points ago

Like mother, like son.

[–]McSquiggles18 28 points29 points ago

I used to play a game where I would stand up as quickly as possible, then run around the house til I went blind. The last time I did it, I went blind, hit a wall, and passed out. I woke up on the ground, with a huge, head shaped hole just above me. I had a headache too. :( But then I found ten dollars!

[–]ElGoddamnDorado 10 points11 points ago

That story got real good at the end there ;)

[–]Whatdidyoueggspect 9 points10 points ago

I just imagine 10 dollars falling out of your pocket when you hit the wall

[–]ashmo_nicole 6 points7 points ago

Was the $10 in the wall? Clarify.

[–]McSquiggles18 6 points7 points ago

The ten dollars very well may have popped out of my pocket. All I know is I hit a wall at full sprint face first, passed out, and woke up with a ten dollar bill on my chest.

[–]ashmo_nicole 5 points6 points ago

That's... That's just beautiful! Perhaps you knocked out a tooth and the tooth fairy made a very special daytime visit?

[–]McSquiggles18 1 point2 points ago

Nope! Had all my teeth. But it's still an option!

[–]CambriaTheKnowledge 25 points26 points ago

Is that a young Lafayette?

[–]cyclicamp 5 points6 points ago

And getting possessed at such an early age, no less. Talk about typecasting.

[–]moose40 2 points3 points ago

it does look like it

[–]awesomedave680 0 points1 point ago

woah.

[–]Citisol 0 points1 point ago

An older Albert.

[–]LaszloK 52 points53 points ago

[–]Zomonada 55 points56 points ago

I just go blind temporarily.

[–]Nilpferdschaf 20 points21 points ago

Glad I'm not the only one, everything goes black and white, then it gets darker until you only see silhouettes and after that it's black for a few seconds and everything is normal again.

It happened to me while I was in an amusement park with some friends a week ago. Apparently you look like something from a horror movie when it happens. They told me they didn't see anyone so pale before and my pupils were so wide that you could barely see the muscles around it.

It must have been more horrible for them than for me :-(

[–]fuckmylifes 5 points6 points ago

Uhh, I have no idea what happened to you but

I've tested the 'get up fast and go blind' thing around 2 different people on a few different occasions, shouting LOOK AT MY EYES NOW AND TELL ME IF THEY LOOK WEIRD

and they both said I looked completely normal.

[–]Cossil 8 points9 points ago

It has to deal with blood pressure. Your blood rushed away from your head. When blood levels drop, the first thing done to conserve oxygen is to shut off the vision.

[–]Tossum 8 points9 points ago

When you're sitting, or more commonly laying down, the heart is beating at lower rate because it has less force to push against. Specifically with laying down it doesn't have to push against the force of gravity pushing blood down. So when you stand up quickly, the hydrostatic pressure causes your blood to essentially pool in your legs. This can be dangerous as blood will rush away from your brain and cause you to black out.

My dad was very athletic in college, resulting in him having a lower resting heart rate (requiring less force per beat to move blood). One day he stood up too quickly blacked out and I dont remember if it was the fall or what, but his heart stopped momentarily. So he's kind of technically a zombie, but yea anyways, stay in school.

[–]zcshiner 5 points6 points ago

[–]Tossum 1 point2 points ago

Yay! Figured I'd explain and offer up a personal experience.

[–]zcshiner 2 points3 points ago

I have in the past stood up, taken two steps, passed out and fallen right on my face. It sucks and it scared the shit out of my parents at the time.

[–]Keeperofthecube 0 points1 point ago

same thing has happened to me. Although one time it happened when i was driving and i just decided to stretch. Good thing my gf was there.

[–]Lefthandedsock 1 point2 points ago

That happened to me the other day. Being a cross country runner, my resting heart rate gets almost abnormally low. I remember standing up and everything going black, followed by my feet dancing around for some reason, and then I blacked out. It was scary. :(

[–]Tossum 0 points1 point ago

I bet! It'd probably appear as if you were dying, er atleast that's what I'd assume, but I'm an optimist. Guess you either have to not be in shape or cure gravity. GL

[–]blakeready710 -2 points-1 points ago

I make the blood rush to my head intentionally sometimes, and the effect is so strong that I pass out and wake up on the floor about 10 seconds later. With a spotter of course. It's pretty stupid.

[–]Shanman150 1 point2 points ago

Not that one should want to try this, but how would one try this?

[–]blakeready710 -1 points0 points ago

You need to be able to rush blood to your face. About 1/4 of people I know can do this. I'm not sure how to describe it but you strain your head per say and the blood rushes to it, turning your face red and making your ears ring. Your vision slowly fades and then you wake up on the ground after a short dream, with your whole body buzzing and no memory of where you are and what time it is for a couple of seconds.

[–]Yadowshadow 0 points1 point ago

I used to do that a lot in middle school. I just kind of tensed up my jaw muscles and the back of my neck, my head started shaking and my face started getting red.

[–]blakeready710 0 points1 point ago

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about. Don't take it too far or you'll probably end up on the ground.

[–]raczojo 3 points4 points ago

Head rush

[–]Clydeicus 1 point2 points ago

I go blind from everything turning purple for a moment.

[–]UnluckyGhost 1 point2 points ago

I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

[–]cajun_kid 9 points10 points ago

Downvoters clearly aren't standing up fast enough. There was a discussion about this in /r/tall not so long ago. Turns out it could be Orthostatic Hypotension

[–]ElGoddamnDorado 2 points3 points ago

5'9 guy here who sometimes likes to milk the stand up motion... I still get this. What causes it?

[–]Penny_is_a_Bitch 2 points3 points ago

Pancsika was only half right. There's more to it.

Here

[–]pancsika 2 points3 points ago

It happens when your heart can't react to the position change fast enough and doesn't pump enough blood into your brain. The part of your brain that is responsible for processing the visual information from your eyes (visual cortex) is one of the most sensible parts of your brain, so if it doesn't get enough blood and oxygen that causes temporarily blindness. Then your heart starts working a little harder and everything gets back to normal.

[–]sakanachan 1 point2 points ago

Ah, the sensible visual cortex: "Fuck this shit, I'm out..."

[–]came_here_2_say 0 points1 point ago

I'm 5'9 as well and this happens. Maybe we're the cutoff point?

[–]ElGoddamnDorado 1 point2 points ago

Fuck yeah, I'll believe that. I want to be considered tall

[–]ThatsMyHorse 1 point2 points ago

5'6 checking in

[–]RyenDeckard 1 point2 points ago

Yep, 5'6" and this happens to me as well.

[–]WhiteyMcJJ -1 points0 points ago

I believe it can happen to anyone, just happens more often when you're tall. When I was younger I got them occasionally. I'm now 6'3" and they happen every goddamn day.

[–]came_here_2_say 0 points1 point ago

It usually happens if I'm sitting on the ground for a long time

[–]azn_dude1 1 point2 points ago

I noticed that it happens more when I'm dehydrated. And if you do get it, just squat down. Pretend to tie your shoe if you want.

[–]tongmengjia 1 point2 points ago

A good friend of mine is the chillest guy you'll ever meet, and a nurse. He rolled into my house one day, I stand up to greet him, and the next thing I know my vision goes and I'm on the floor with him standing over me. He looks down, calm as can be, and says, "Yep, orthostatic hypotension."

[–]-Theis 0 points1 point ago

get this sometimes. Once everything went black and when it all came back i was holding onto the counter shaking uncontrollably.

[–]puzzlecube 9 points10 points ago

Dat head rush

[–]tf15 16 points17 points ago

[–]Binsky89 6 points7 points ago

This happens to me every time I stand up.

[–]orzamil 12 points13 points ago

Both you and OP should probably see a doctor about this. IIRC it's due to dangerously low/high blood pressure that could have serious health implications.

[–]Nerfherder32 4 points5 points ago

What if I'm 16 and this happens to me once in a while?

[–]garyyo 4 points5 points ago

dont worry about it, only if it happens consistently.

[–]Nerfherder32 1 point2 points ago

Only after long bouts of hardcore gaming

[–]garyyo 3 points4 points ago

yeah you should be fine. its called orthostatic hypotension, and is harmless.

[–]the_television 0 points1 point ago

You can even self induce it to get high.

[–]garyyo 1 point2 points ago

yep but i dont do that as its too much effort and doesnt always work for a 5 second hugh

[–]the_television 0 points1 point ago

It only takes about 30 seconds of hard breathing for a 2-3 minute high

[–]garyyo 0 points1 point ago

i only got 30 seconds out of it at max, usually less. and it wasnt that great. fainted once. didnt try it again

[–]boredextremely 0 points1 point ago

It's only harmless if you don't break your skull open on your way down.

[–]garyyo 0 points1 point ago

assuming you get to that point, feinting is not normal

[–]Nerfherder32 0 points1 point ago

It says nothing in here about height, even though I've been told for years that tall people (like myself) have slightly less effective circulative systems

[–]garyyo 1 point2 points ago

i dont think it really matters. maybe taller people get it more often but it in itself isnt that bad. it might be a sign of something bad like chronic low blood pressure but thats only if you get it every single time you stand up, not just after sitting still for long times.

[–]Nerfherder32 0 points1 point ago

Maybe it was a load of bullshit, but i was taught that taller people don't quite have a heart of the same proportion to their body as shorter people, meaning a similar sized heart has to pump blood through longer veins and arteries

[–]garyyo 0 points1 point ago

i think there is a bit of truth to that but the difference is negligible considering that human height doesn't differ more than a few feet.

[–]came_here_2_say 0 points1 point ago

It happens to me too, and it started when I was about 14 or 15. If it only happens every once in a while it's pretty normal.

[–]Binsky89 -1 points0 points ago

It's a side effect of Intuniv (probably).

[–]Venrre 0 points1 point ago

Wait, really? It used to happen to me all the time when I was a kid, and a little less now. My boyfriend gets it a lot, too.

[–]garyyo 0 points1 point ago

if its something that happens all the time then yeah its a problem. if its just every so often then i think you are fine

[–]mattbluesman -1 points0 points ago

No it isn't. Comes with being very tall. When your heart can't compensate fast enough due to being freakishly tall like me.

Source: cousin is a cardiologist. I'm tall.

[–]orzamil 0 points1 point ago

So being tall is the only thing that does it.

[–]ShinyPichu 1 point2 points ago

I have it a lot because I'm tall. This happens in tall people.

[–]ElGoddamnDorado 1 point2 points ago

I'm average height and it happens a lot, any source?

[–]Crims0nStride 0 points1 point ago

Orthostatic blood pressure problems. Get checked, Bro Montana.

[–]ShinyPichu 0 points1 point ago

/r/tall should explain. I heard it was because you had longer veins or something so it takes longer for the blood to flow.

[–]musicbpc 5 points6 points ago

YOGI OGIE DOKIE!!

[–]epicaddict 3 points4 points ago

Passed out because of this once, have some nice scars on my hands now too from that incident

[–]mattbluesman 0 points1 point ago

Same here only long enough to bruise my tail bone though.

[–]taterbase 2 points3 points ago

[–]TomatoSlayer 2 points3 points ago

"Look out, man. Lisa Blair, 26 East 7th St., apartment 16, 555-4817, BOOM!"

[–]Etere 0 points1 point ago

Damn it, now I want to watch the movie.

[–]georgettesinclair 2 points3 points ago

Orthostatic Hypotension bitches.

[–]Chuck___Norris 3 points4 points ago

I'm high.

[–]blainetrimble -3 points-2 points ago

Is this supposed to be funny? What a cheap way to get karma...

[–]grimfate 0 points1 point ago

wow is it sad i immediately started looking for the rooster and cow...

[–]Bernie6127 1 point2 points ago

I see sparkles too... Is that normal? O_o

[–]thescrapplekid 1 point2 points ago

I thought there was something wrong with me. It happens everytime

[–]X-02 0 points1 point ago

turn your head upside-down when that happens. makes it go away

[–]Penny_is_a_Bitch 1 point2 points ago

..... I don't recommend that.

If you feel like you might pass out you could try what pilots do. Physically push more blood to your head. They also wear special pants. I want special pants :(

[–]Goodspellr 1 point2 points ago

Orthostatichypotension, baby. I get that too. All the time.

[–]thejokerxx00 1 point2 points ago

is that booker T?

[–]SgtSausage 0 points1 point ago

You're Lafayette?

[–]i_attend_goat_orgies 0 points1 point ago

Gotta love anemia! It's like tripping balls for 10 seconds

[–]fancy_pantsy_mcfancy 0 points1 point ago

yeah listen to the others here you need to get that checked out. It could be your blood pressure dropping or even rising too high. It most likely is harmless but could be symptom of something else.

[–]juloxx 0 points1 point ago

The caption should say "i dont always snort K"

[–]mnnmnmnnm 1 point2 points ago

Don't forget to breathe!

[–]Aishiteruu 0 points1 point ago

I get that alot. I've fainted numerous of times. Fallen down stairs, breaking bookshelf's etc. Now i've learned to lay down on the ground before i actually faint. Always liked the feeling tho.. Your entire body is tingling, and any sound sounds strange and unfamiliar. At one point your conscious, but you don't understand whats happening. A state of bliss really. Although its not so funny waking up in your mothers arms whilst other family members are screaming.

[–]no_puppets_here 0 points1 point ago

Hey, same here! Only completely passed out once--but I fell off a bunk bed, clipped a chair on the way down, woke up on the floor bruised with my aunt over me looking terrified.

But it happens all the time and I always go completely blind and have to lean on something to not fall over. Shit is not cool. I kinda want to smack all these people talking about how 'fun' it is.

[–]enjoime33 1 point2 points ago

But when I do I trip major ballsack

[–]baaceleste 1 point2 points ago

Man, I freaking hate that. I can never get used to that lightheaded feeling and blurry vision.

[–]AsHLeRoSe 1 point2 points ago

Orthostatic hypotension, also known as postural hypotension, and colloquially as head rush or dizzy spell, is a form of hypotension in which a person's blood pressure suddenly falls when standing up or stretching. The symptom is caused by blood pooling in the lower extremities upon a change in body position. It is quite common and can occur briefly in anyone, although it is particularly prevalent among the elderly, and those with low blood pressure.

[–]CummingEverywhere 1 point2 points ago

I get this quite a lot. A lot of times I've actually just blacked out completely and woken up on the floor a couple of seconds later. Apparently it's due to low blood pressure, and putting your head below your heart sorts it out.

[–]Spazasaurus 0 points1 point ago

Remember to breathe, little yogies.

[–]Xamus -1 points0 points ago

Finally I have a chance to use this!

[–]DawginYourMomma 0 points1 point ago

Kris Kross will make you Jump...Jump.

[–]JoeyDubbs 1 point2 points ago

Orthostatic Hypotention. Sounds like some of you need to drink more water.

[–]karma_virus 0 points1 point ago

WHen you cough so hard your balls hurt.

[–]ssimoll 1 point2 points ago

Is this the guy from American History X that gets curbstomped and beat in basketball?

[–]trollpwn 0 points1 point ago

Heey look its lil wayne

[–]wi11y 0 points1 point ago

is that the guy thats gets curb stomped in American History X when he was little?

[–]Wesomatic 1 point2 points ago

Is that that dude from that dumbass show?

[–]redrawthings 0 points1 point ago

No he is doing his impression of one of those air dancers you see out side of stores.

[–]strdr562 0 points1 point ago

Flexing a large muscle (such as your leg) will get rid of the sensation

[–]raisinetta 0 points1 point ago

Is that Lafayette from True Blood?

[–]DrGreenlove 0 points1 point ago

I thought the same.

[–]Failedhail 0 points1 point ago

This is only supposed to happen when you stand up to quick? It happens to me whenever I stand up if I've been sitting fore more than half an hour to 40 minutes, regardless of how fast I stand up.

[–]Etere 0 points1 point ago

If you get a head rush from standing up a lot of the time, you may want to see a doctor, your blood pressure might be off This would happen to a friend of mine quite often, he went to the doctor and found out he has weak heart valves.

[–]watuphoss 1 point2 points ago

Am I the only one that absolutely loves the feeling of it? It's an incredible sensation.

I do have to admit though that today, something was off balance and I nearly passed out. Was really weird juggling between trying to stay conscious and trying not to let the legs go out. Really weird.

[–]imjustdrunk 0 points1 point ago

why is this getting upvotes?

[–]JBenzy670 0 points1 point ago

I've never had this happen. Hell, I've even tried. Is this really that common?

[–]interst88 0 points1 point ago

In Miami, we call this "going zombie." Not really, but can we get that started?

[–]attax 1 point2 points ago

Imagine being tall. Even standing up at a normal pace this can happen :(

[–]staroverblue 0 points1 point ago

I always stand up too fast. Always.

[–]Citisol 0 points1 point ago

I can make your booty pop.

[–]roblinx 0 points1 point ago

It's that guy from Living Color!

[–]added_chaos 0 points1 point ago

Ah, Little Wayne in his younger years.

[–]mugmykarma 0 points1 point ago

Is this fucka on meth

[–]AflacHobo1 0 points1 point ago

Now try that with low blood counts from chemotherapy. It's fucking scary, I can tell you that.

[–]Peter5821 0 points1 point ago

You may be suffering from orthostatic hypotension from being dehydrated. See if an increased fluid intake helps.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orthostatic_hypotension

[–]More_Cheepa 0 points1 point ago

my blood pressure drops, and I get dizzy!

[–]More_Cheepa 0 points1 point ago

it's called orthostatic hypotension btw

[–]meatwad1987 0 points1 point ago

what are you, 70?

[–]marcSuile 0 points1 point ago

Pretty sure that's just lafayette from true blood as a kid; nothin' seems out of the ordinary.

[–]Mechanikore 0 points1 point ago

Stand up fast evryday.

[–]haute_mua 0 points1 point ago

Is that Layfayette from True Blood?

[–]blzd4dyz 0 points1 point ago

Sounds like you could benefit from a jog now and again.

[–]MagicMurderBean 0 points1 point ago

You should go get your blood pressure checked out then.

[–]Schoold 0 points1 point ago

You trip on acid when you stand up?

[–]Tittygroper -1 points0 points ago

You stole this from r/trees!! :O

[–]goldandblue9 -1 points0 points ago

If r/trees wasn't allowed to reuse gifs from other subs that place would be a ghost town... reposted gif at a [5]

[–]boredextremely 0 points1 point ago

Thats called orthostatic hypotension, if it happens very often you may want to see a doctor about some medication that can help prevent it.

[–]metroelph 0 points1 point ago

is this Lafayette from True Blood?

[–]Magnicifent 0 points1 point ago

Nice pose, rasta.

[–]charden_sama 0 points1 point ago

It's nice to see Tin-Tin had some fun as a kid before getting ventilated by Eric Draven later in life.

[–]ElGozz 0 points1 point ago

The way I get rid of it is to just bend at the hips and let my body hang. I'm guessing it allows the blood to get to the head quicker.

[–]criickyO 0 points1 point ago

proof lil wayne was born this way

[–]MistaT33 0 points1 point ago

it's called orthostatic hypotension

[–]Afondo 0 points1 point ago

This looks like lafayette from trueblood?!

[–]Maximuqq 0 points1 point ago

He didn't get up too fast, he needs fried chicken.

[–]brogdowniard -1 points0 points ago

This is almost worse than the "how I feel when.." posts.

[–]vaginitischlamydia -1 points0 points ago

...you turn into a black kid?

[–]sasnfbi1234 1 point2 points ago

its because you need to drink more water

[–]Nerfherder32 4 points5 points ago

Being unnaturally tall doesn't help either

[–]LTDansen 0 points1 point ago

False.

[–]Annex1 -3 points-2 points ago

...you turn into a zombie?

[–]Nilpferdschaf 0 points1 point ago

Apparently you look like a zombie when it happens. I almost blacked out because of it a week ago when some friends were around. They said I was incredibly pale and my pupils were extremely wide open. Must have been terrifying for them since they didn't know what was going on.

[–]BriGuy92 0 points1 point ago

6'2" problems.

[–]dragonattack 1 point2 points ago

5'2" and I have that problem.
