I miss this anime...

[–]NDWolfwood5268 98 points99 points ago

It's on Netflix and Youtube under the official Funimation account. I rewatch it and Trigun every few months. FMA: Brotherhood is better IMO.

[–]Justavian 24 points25 points ago

I've watched Trigun 15 times. It was the first anime show that i didn't hate. Since then, the only shows i really like are those that are mostly realistically drawn (ghost in the shell being my favorite example) - no absurdly large eyes, no exaggerated features when someone is emotional. Trigun does have some exaggeration, of course - still not sure why i love it so much.

[–]DNAsly 15 points16 points ago

Because it's an extremely tragic and heartbreaking western/scifi adaptation of les miserables?

[–]Radical3 8 points9 points ago

How is les mis like trigun? I've never read it.

[–]DNAsly 22 points23 points ago

Set in revolutionary France, Les mis is the timeless story of a man who was once a criminal seeking a new and honest life. And how his past hinders him, including some prick police officer from his old life that follows him around waiting for him to screw up. People would meet him and think he was a great guy, and then they'd find out he used to be a crook and they would shun him and hurt him. It's a story of how the world just seems to want steer people to the wrong path.

I highly recommend seeing it on stage if you ever get the chance.

Anyways, just like Jean Valjean (the protagonist in les mis), Vash cannot escape his past. No matter how good of a person he tries to be, his past keeps haunting him and forcing him to do bad. Can he stand the pressure? Or will he give in?

[–]TumbleDryLow 2 points3 points ago

Beautiful summary! That's the first play I ever saw on broadway, and it remains my favorite.

I feel bad for doing this, as it may seem nit-picky, but since you're clearly an aficionado of Les Mis it feels appropriate to note: the protagonist's name is "Jean Valjean" not "Jon val Jon".

[–]DNAsly 1 point2 points ago

Duly noted and thanks. I love the show too much to want to get that wrong.

[–]Toxikomania 2 points3 points ago

Bravo! claps

[–]gdmuldo 0 points1 point ago

I absolutely love and approve of this comparison.

[–]xepion 1 point2 points ago

NO! Because this world is made of! ... " repeat after me". THIS WORLD IS MADE OF! ... ;)

[–]suckrist 3 points4 points ago

What about outlaw.star and cowboy bebop. I love those three together.

[–]Justavian 3 points4 points ago

Cowboy Bebop was pretty good, and i bought the whole series. But for whatever reason, it doesn't have the same re-watchability for me as Trigun. I always list that as one of my favorites, but when i tried to watch it a second time, i lost interest. Samurai Champloo was also excellent - i may have watched it 2.5 times.

[–]r_kay 1 point2 points ago

Those are the 3 series i tell people to watch when they say they don't like anime. Along with Akira & Perfect Blue.

[–]Zomb_Rabitts 0 points1 point ago

I always suggest them to my friends to! Yet for some reason I've never heard of perfect blue, I thought you said Blue Submarine No.6 I don't know why, but could you give me a brief about Perfect blue please?

[–]r_kay 0 points1 point ago

Perfect Blue plays out like a high budget hollywood murder mystery. There's a live acted version they put out also, but i haven't seen it.

[–]Buckwheat469 2 points3 points ago

I'm still waiting for The Big O. Seriously Netflix, put that show in your lineup!

[–]NDWolfwood5268 1 point2 points ago

If you like Trigun, take a look at Gungrave. The first episode or two set it up, then it does a flashback for most of the anime about how the world got the way it is. That flashback stuff is amazing.

I recommend it to you because for one, it's from the guys that did Trigun including the musical artist who I love, and for two, it's 'realistic' relatively. No classic anime large eyes and stuff, it's a lot more serious than Trigun was in general.

[–]bitcheslovedroids 1 point2 points ago

I love the balance of action and humor in that show

[–]Mr_D_Lineman 0 points1 point ago

How could you hate it?

[–]meldorp -1 points0 points ago

Kino's journey has big eyes. It also shits on anything else I've ever seen.

[–]this_barb 27 points28 points ago

Brotherhood had better production value but I can't say I prefer one over the other. At the very least, the first half of Brotherhood is identical to the original FMA minus how certain scenes are animated.

[–]shawncplus 31 points32 points ago

Brotherhood follows the manga, the original series diverges a massive amount.

[–]I_am_THE_GRAPIST 11 points12 points ago

I also heard Brotherhood follows the manga much more closely than the original anime. Love them both equally though.

EDIT: And after I scroll down half a page I read what I just said.

[–]Birdslapper 2 points3 points ago

brotherhood is exactly what's in the manga, original diverges a crapton

[–]EdgarPuffinstuff 1 point2 points ago

I liked the story of the original more, but both were good in my opinion.

[–]plutos_kiss 16 points17 points ago

I prefer the original series myself...the original has a lot of character development where I think Brotherhood focused more on the plot.

[–]Kyman111 6 points7 points ago

Thats exactly what i say.

[–]koy5 0 points1 point ago

Those are all words that I use too.

[–]phsyco 5 points6 points ago

I think up to episode 10 in Brotherhood it's like a kind of rushed version of the original. I think they expected people to have already watched the first series and didn't want them to watch the same stuff all over again.

[–]radioactivehg -1 points0 points ago

no, brotherhood is from the manga, brotherhood is how the story goes and was meant to go. the first few episodes were similar because FMA were fallowing the mange for the first few episodes but then branched off when they were still making the manga and go into this really badly written plot. I mean seriously whats with all that shit with rose, she was never an important character but they decide to make her someone super important to the shitty plot they wanted to make. imo brotherhood>>>>>FMA

[–]TheCobaltEffect 3 points4 points ago

The original FMA was finished before they finished the Manga, you can tell if you watch both where the original FMA started making up there own story from as it diverges at episode 11 or so.

[–]mutecow 2 points3 points ago

the last 10 eps for the original doesnt make any sense whatsoever. they could have cleared everything up in 30 mins if the 2 brothers, their dad and Roy compared notes.

its a clear case of tacked on subpar ending.

[–]JSBUCK 2 points3 points ago

Brotherhood is better. Go and watch them again.

[–]Spalunking01 0 points1 point ago

Can you tell me which episode I can skip to in brotherhood if I've already watched the original? I know they're all separate animations etc just not looking forward to rewatching near identical storylines at the start.

[–]JohnnyWarpzone 1 point2 points ago

Unfortunately they pepper in some differences all the way from the start and they handle some of the early things differently so there's no true way to skip to an episode without missing something.

[–]negativetension 0 points1 point ago

I watched Brotherhood after watching the first anime series, and I loved both of them equally. I think watching them in that order was better though, Brotherhood doesn't really go into too much detail about the characters' backgrounds which could be quite confusing for first-time viewers.

[–]NDWolfwood5268 1 point2 points ago

That's what I was thinking up to about 1/4th of the way through. I think the backstory on the Homunculi are better and the emotional way Mustang takes the death of his friend (who remains nameless in an attempt to maintain some spoilers).

[–]MrManfrenjensenjen 4 points5 points ago

When I found Trigun on Netflix I flipped the shit and sat all my friends down for 13 hours for a marathon. Good day.

[–]Sirenair 1 point2 points ago

All of FMA(original) is on netflix, but a little more than 30 episodes are on for FMA:B, which sucks. IDK why they haven't updated it yet.

[–]A_Cylon_Raider 3 points4 points ago

Brotherhood is available subbed on Hulu for free.

EDIT: I think it's available dubbed too.

[–]NDWolfwood5268 0 points1 point ago

Really? I thought I saw it all in english... might be I was looking at a torrent or maybe I finished the last episodes with subs instead of dubs. Either way, great show. Also waiting for Darker than Black season 2 to come out in a legal viewing medium.

[–]scrambles57 6 points7 points ago

Then watch it.

[–]Elasti-Girl 0 points1 point ago

I was honestly just thinking out loud... my bad if it pissed you off...

[–]scrambles57 0 points1 point ago

Pissed me off? How is it you thought I was angry?

[–]Elasti-Girl 0 points1 point ago

I don't know, hard to tell tone online.

It was either "then watch it, you silly goose!" or

"then watch it, bitch" -which someone unnecessarily called me for thinking out loud, which we're all doing. I suspected he was just jealous from the response I got but still.

[–]scrambles57 0 points1 point ago

I kind of meant it like the first, unfortunately not as fabulous. I was saying it as "nothing's stopping you."

[–]Elasti-Girl 0 points1 point ago

Haha, I understand now. Thanks for the clarification.

[–]EveryGoodNameIsGone 14 points15 points ago

FMA: Brotherhood follows the manga extremely closely. They rush through the beginning, though, since it's quite similar to the first half of the original FMA anime.

[–]TheFaceOfBro 3 points4 points ago

I don't think FMA:B represents the characters as wall as FMA, so I prefer the manga. The animations are phenomenal, but some of the voice actor changes were weird. Al being a girl and all.

[–]donuts741 2 points3 points ago

I think it represents how some people are different on the inside than they are on the outside.

[–]utoniumx 2 points3 points ago

yesss Al's voice in FMA:B is annoying.

[–]blue_mushu 2 points3 points ago

Most younger male characters in cartoons have female voice actors. (Young boy actors hit puberty and then their voice changes, so.) Bart Simpson is also voiced by a female, fyi.

[–]TheFaceOfBro 0 points1 point ago

At least bart sounds like a boy. The voice actor for Al doesn't sound close.

[–]blue_mushu 0 points1 point ago

I disagree personally, but to each their own. Paku Romi has done a lot of male voices in her career; I think she pulls them off pretty well.

[–]TheFaceOfBro 0 points1 point ago

No, you are right, i'm exaggerating a little to prove a point. She does do a pretty good job of recreating the voice of Al's from FMA, but it's the occasional moment were it's obvious she's a girl and it kinda gets weird.

[–]ThatIsMyHat 0 points1 point ago

I think they rushed the beginning because they already did those episodes for the first anime and they wanted to get to the new stuff.

[–]EveryGoodNameIsGone 1 point2 points ago

Exactly

[–]Mcflexington 7 points8 points ago

FMA Manga, FMA:B Anime. It's the only way.

[–]Radical3 2 points3 points ago

are you saying that's the best viewing order? Definitely do the original anime before the manga. The anime turns the first ten chapters of the manga into this amazing mystery that lasts about twice as long in the anime as it does in the manga.

the manga treats the lead up to laboratory five like a prologue to the action while in the anime it's ridiculously intense and drawn out and incredible.

I can't say which is better, but the manga spoils the anime while the anime doesn't really spoil the manga so you should definitely watch the anime first if you plan to do both.

[–]ShitBrixOfSteel 4 points5 points ago

The Manga was awesome.

[–]Arch_0[!] 0 points1 point ago

It's been a long time since I watched it. I seem to remember being really pissed off with the ending but I can't remember why. I did enjoy the rest of it though!

[–]MightyNooblet 1 point2 points ago

Check out Hunter x Hunter (2011)

[–]derpbynature 2 points3 points ago

Like 6 years ago, when I was 15, I watched the anime and fell in love with it, and for some reason became attached to the character Rose (who was in like, only 2 or 3 episodes of the original anime, very much a bit character)

Nevertheless, I set about making what was, in hindsight, probably the world's worst AMV (anime music video), setting what few scenes of her I could find to Evan and Jaron's timeless classic, "Crazy For This Girl" -- the perfect soundtrack for a tribute to my fictional olive-skinned goddess.

Several months later, YouTube banned my account and deleted everything on my channel for copyright infringement. In the interim, my computer failed and I was left without a local copy.

I have still not fully forgiven YouTube.

[–]Sammit87 0 points1 point ago

It ended too fast.

[–]adhchopper 0 points1 point ago

WHAT anime?

[–]TheDawi 58 points59 points ago

All this discussion just keeps reminding me of Major Hughes :/ R.I.P.

[–]ItsMyUmbrella 71 points72 points ago

"Why are they putting daddy in the ground mommy? He has work to do!"

First time I ever cried watching a TV show.

[–]mazurtommy 3 points4 points ago

[–]skobombers 1 point2 points ago

no matter how many times I watch it, I cry every damn time.

[–]kyle2143 28 points29 points ago

Brigadier General Hughes.

[–]slim034 15 points16 points ago

Damnit Hughes. You were supposed to follow me to the top in life, not in death. It’s just like you to do everything your way. Brigadier goddamned General. What a sick joke.

[–]skobombers 5 points6 points ago

"It's a horrible day for rain, t. Hawkeye."

[–]Soviet_Waffle 0 points1 point ago

[–]bitcheslovedroids 10 points11 points ago

Why did he have to go? He was one of my favorite characters on that show

[–]wingie 7 points8 points ago

He was like Coulson. His death led the potential heroes to become real heroes.

[–]Mr_D_Lineman 3 points4 points ago

I know. I would honestly have Mustang kick the bucket if we could have kept Hughes.

[–]TumbleDryLow 1 point2 points ago

I know where you're coming from, as Hughes had so much more to live for, but Mustang was such a wonderful character as well. He had real depth, but I think few would call him altruistic. Leaving someone like that alive while taking away someone as wonderful as Hughes seems more real, has more bite, and clearly had a greater impact on Ed and Al, you know?

But still. Damn I miss Hughes.

[–]nodaddynotthebelt 2 points3 points ago

When Edward, Al, and Winrey talked about their plans to visit Hughes after they visit teacher, I just felt like they were milking it. Too much, man.

Also, who was the bright guy who decided Hughes should be a nazi in the original movie?

[–]mutecow 2 points3 points ago

Also, who was the bright guy who decided Hughes should be a nazi in the original movie?

wait wad?

[–]tekka444 2 points3 points ago

In the Conquerer of Shambala there was a parallel universe where Ed was trapped from Al (the other side of the big door), and there the Hughes on Ed's side was a Nazi soldier.

[–]Ethansmiller 0 points1 point ago

he was a cop, and when the nazi party took over he just followed. funny how they actually ended Hitlers reign in like a few days lol

[–]SocksAndSharpies 1 point2 points ago

It's a terrible day for rain...

all the phone calls.. rip to the homie

[–]marktheother 17 points18 points ago

Ecce Homunculus

[–]insanelurker 33 points34 points ago

Funny but one thing's bugging me: Ed sacrificed his leg and Al sacrificed his body to transmute their mother. Why is Ed's arm missing?

[–]LittlePat 105 points106 points ago

ed gave up his arm to put Als body in the suit of armour

[–]insanelurker 12 points13 points ago

Yeah, I know. But that still doesn't explain why Ed's arm is on the resurrected Jesus. It shouldn't be since that arm should have been used to transmute Al's soul into the suite of armour.

[–]Scrotum_Phillips 15 points16 points ago

YOu just can't see it. Look at how he is leaning back, you can assume that he is using his other arm to prop him up. He gave up his right arm to transmute Al's soul anyways and that is the arm he is pointing with.

[–]mutecow 5 points6 points ago

wow...attention to detail...

[–]Evolutioneer 0 points1 point ago

But it also shows his right legs as being missing, and Alphonse was on the right of Ed when they transmuted. This means the picture is mirrored, so he's pointing with his left.

[–]Jerrythepirate 3 points4 points ago

He's saying that in this picture Ed is both leg and armless, but Al isn't there.

[–]LittlePat 0 points1 point ago

right...I thought of that right after I typed that comment

[–]cloudless001 7 points8 points ago

Ed sacrificed his arm to bind Al's soul to the suit of armor

[–]hanapyon 0 points1 point ago

and leg

[–]Jesusisrippin 0 points1 point ago

Why would he lose the same thing everytime he attempted human transformation?

[–]jakeofire 5 points6 points ago

transmutation*** -.-

[–]Jesusisrippin -2 points-1 points ago

touche

[–]metalasylum 0 points1 point ago

Actually, if you enhance the picture, you can see a little bit of a bloody stump in place of his right leg. The picture cuts off so that you can even see a semi-circle depiction of Ed's femur.

I would assume that the other hand is propping him up and, due to the angle, was not drawn by the artist.

[–]BlazingFox 6 points7 points ago

Remember to credit /r/fullmetalalchemist for posting this on Reddit.

[–]vermillionlove 6 points7 points ago

The Trigun in this thread makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

[–]Mr_D_Lineman 2 points3 points ago

What Trigun? I know what it is, but I'm not seeing any.

[–]vermillionlove 0 points1 point ago

There was a comment that mentioned it which also got a few replies talking about it. Up towards the top.

[–]Elasti-Girl 1 point2 points ago

I love that I can automatically hear the theme song in my head without trying.

[–]vermillionlove 0 points1 point ago

I remember discovering the opening sequence for the first time, before I had bought the dvds I had only ever seen it on adult swim. Turn on an episode and see/hear it for the first time with stars in my eyes. - FMA is one of those animes where they would show the full opening and ending, and a preview I think. Shoulda done that with trigun too :P

[–]Elasti-Girl 0 points1 point ago

Which FMA opening did you like? I only knew the Japanese ones since they didn't have English back then- Here's the first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=js2fk1o8bUg Idk if I actually liked the Trigun ending- sounds like he's drunk!

And unrelated, but have you ever watched Yakitate! Japan?

[–]vermillionlove 0 points1 point ago

I think my favorite was ready steady go, maybe simply because I saw it the most and liked the song a lot. Rewrite was also pretty good. You're right, the Trigun ending does sound drunk! lol. I've never heard of Yakitate! Japan before, would you suggest it? :D

[–]Elasti-Girl 1 point2 points ago

Yeah! I loved ready steady go, that was the 2nd one right? And thank you for reminding me about Rewrite! God I can't believe I missed that one. AKFG are geniuses. Anyways, yes, I would recommend it. It's very cute and funny actually. When you said you saw stars while listening to the music it reminded me of Yakitate because it's about a boy who makes amazing bread and this judge eats it and has these amazing, hilarious reactions to it because it's so delicious and godlike haha. And it's insanely punny. Sample: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tspyjSStVo0

[–]Trollinski94 4 points5 points ago

His arm is still on him. But really he lost his left leg for transmuting his mother, not his right.

[–]drago3svsu 5 points6 points ago

I've seen this photo on a few different things but I missed the original post. I don't understand the reference and would like to be a part of the humor :( please someone, anyone fill me in.

[–]jai07 5 points6 points ago

bad restoration attempt by a woman on an old painting

the woman's response.

|"Press accounts agree that the original painting was of little artistic importance,[2][3][4] and its fame relates to an attempt at restoration"

lol

[–]drago3svsu 1 point2 points ago

Ha, ok now everything fits. Thank you for the help.

[–]sassycunt 13 points14 points ago

I'm still lost on this whole skewed face meme.

[–]lurkerfrombeyond 22 points23 points ago

If you are referring to the skewered face of Christ they used, some elderly Spanish woman tried to restore a fresco and ruined it. The skewered face was the end result of her work.

[–]DrHenryPym 13 points14 points ago

[–]synachynadodiechodie 1 point2 points ago

skewered.....hmm....skewed? Askew?

[–]Missy2Spencer 36 points37 points ago

[–]bacchic_ritual 24 points25 points ago

That actually isn't the author. He admits he found it on Facebook in the comments.

[–]Missy2Spencer 8 points9 points ago

oh. Wow.

So both stole.... this is ridiculous.

[–]Rocketpoodle 4 points5 points ago

TIL Jesus is a homunculus.

[–]captainkhyron 4 points5 points ago

Holy. Shit.

My boss just almost saw me lose my shit laughing. Well played OP.

[–]Shilo59 0 points1 point ago

Did he at least help you find it afterwards?

[–]3la2 8 points9 points ago

[–]johnydeluca 8 points9 points ago

Wow, that's a shitload of claps!

[–]Radisong 4 points5 points ago

You sir, get the best I can offer. 1 quality upvote

[–]peacebuster 3 points4 points ago

Nice font ؟

[–]Wildcard1222 2 points3 points ago

Didn't he give his leg for the information first, then his arm for his brother's soul second? I can't remember which way it went, but now I wan't to watch the show, ha ha

[–]yoda1304 0 points1 point ago

It went leg then arm, but you should still re watch the anime.

[–]aHarmlessTriceratops 2 points3 points ago

Best joke with that painting that I've seen yet XD

[–]dickfitswell 2 points3 points ago

Good shit.

[–]images-ofbrokenlight 2 points3 points ago

I love this so much I don't even know what to say.

[–]AScholarlyGentleman 8 points9 points ago

That...That is amazing. I wish I had more upvotes to give you, and I regret I have but one to offer. Take it, though. It is my pride and joy. Take it, and know that you have done well.

[–]tyler303047 4 points5 points ago

This is the most amazing thing I've seen all day! Thank you, kind sir.

[–]trollkarl3 1 point2 points ago

Oh god that's funny XD

[–]alldayrelief 0 points1 point ago

Could someone link me to the original?

[–]vnkid 1 point2 points ago

That old lady is never gonna live it down. Yay for internets.

[–]happytime1711 1 point2 points ago

It's too bad about the fresco, but shit if this isn't the funniest thing to be in the news in a long time. Every time I'm reminded of it I just lose my shit...she fucking murdered that shit.

[–]jacksclevername 0 points1 point ago

Anyone happen to have a link to a site that sells reprints of that beautiful painting?

[–]runnergunner 1 point2 points ago

Not enough FMA on here

[–]Guanren -1 points0 points ago

Trying to bring Jesus back to life again.

[–]GaryOak92 1 point2 points ago

I just finished this yesterday actually haha. I'm wondering if I should watch brotherhood?

[–]Korvas989 2 points3 points ago

Yes you should, Brotherhood followed the mangas, where as the original only followed it up to when the brothers meet greed. Brotherhood is a lot better.

[–]MewsClues 0 points1 point ago

Definitely. I'm re watching FMA right now and finished Brotherhood a few months ago.

Brotherhood is a lot more story driven where FMA goes into character back stories and development. I prefer FMA, particularly the ending and the characters they choose to focus on; I really thought Greed, Kimbley, Mai and Ling brought little to the story in BH.

[–]short_lurker 1 point2 points ago

I should get around to finishing FMA: Brotherhood.

[–]otaku4415 0 points1 point ago

I like both versions of the anime but FMA: Brotherhood is a little better in my opinion.

[–]IhateToronto 0 points1 point ago

I'm sorry, who are the Elric brothers?

[–]the2belo 0 points1 point ago

Boost your matter gain! We need more signal!

[–]ToastedEnder 1 point2 points ago

FMA on reddit = awesome

[–]Razenghan 0 points1 point ago

Jesus turned water into wine...without a transmutation circle??!

Now we know who had the Philosopher's Stone the whole time.

[–]expert_mode 0 points1 point ago

bleach and fma brotherhood are both awesome anime

[–]fffawn 0 points1 point ago

Oh.........

[–]Knisk 0 points1 point ago

Why is it whenever i watch an episode of FMA and go on reddit there is an FMA related post that i stumble upon by accident o_0

[–]El_Cantante 0 points1 point ago

I hate to be that guy but I don't think the joke works, the Jesus story is that he is alive.

[–]diskmaster23 0 points1 point ago

It kinda looked like Nicolas Cage....

[–]fierguy 0 points1 point ago

Wow, stolen off of memecenter. I can't believe you're THIS desperate for karma.

But alas, they do not kill him and his mutilated body becomes that of a homonculus. His power: Turning water into wine. ALCHEMY waves fingers

[–]BroTheCat 0 points1 point ago

I just bought the series blindly. I knew nothing about it, other than it was fairly popular. I even got Brotherhood by chance. I love it.

I'm watching an episode right now and this made me laugh, really hard.

[–]thyyoungclub 0 points1 point ago

I think the fact that so many people get this means we all need to get outside.

[–]bickham88 0 points1 point ago

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is my fav anime... all time ... I wish I could Transmute a new season

[–]pdxpalekid 0 points1 point ago

I wish I could give you more than one upvote.

[–]JayElric 0 points1 point ago

I was super excited to see an FMA post but then disappointed by it.

[–]last_of_the_romans 0 points1 point ago

The best part about this is the probability that 2000 years from now, speculative historians and anthropologists will reference this with something like, "A later depiction of the Western God, Jesus."

[–]TrollMan64 0 points1 point ago

I know I will seem like an idiot, but what the hell is that weird thing in the last panel?

[–]Lonlonfarm 0 points1 point ago

They wouldn't try to bring Jesus back, they are men of science.

[–]Hr0n 7 points8 points ago

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything.

[–]hardtogetaname 3 points4 points ago

so they would bring who back exactly?

[–]Scrotum_Phillips 0 points1 point ago

Their mother.

Transmuting water in to wine. Healing with a touch.

Sounds like Jesus has seen the doorway.

Pure gold!!! This taught me that I REALLY should lurk Reddit at work. Laughed so hard the boss sat me down for a discussion of my mental health.

Funny post, but to bad the wrong limbs are missing. He lost his leg from the first transmutation and Al lost his body. Then Ed sacrificed his arm to bind Al's soul to the suit of armor. Not to be a party pooper just big FMA fan.

[–]Scrotum_Phillips 0 points1 point ago

Ya, his arm is there. He loses his right arm to transmute Al's soul.

[–]RoxyBone 0 points1 point ago

yea I realized that after I wrote it lol was a lil buzzed at the time lol

[–]SgtLittlebottom -4 points-3 points ago

very good ;) lulz were had

[–]Xzleon -2 points-1 points ago

False: They don't believe in religion in the anime.

[–]otaku4415 0 points1 point ago

science rains supreme

[–]dogfunky -1 points0 points ago

Anyone else tired of this Jesus painting thing?

[–]yoda1304 1 point2 points ago

Not when its being put into great things like this.

[–]brohouzer 1 point2 points ago

Absolutely.

[–]Carrotunderbed -2 points-1 points ago

This really did not happened there was never any blood in Ed's mouth

[–]smashathehulk 0 points1 point ago

I thought they restored it with their mouth ;) was a lil confused as to why their was paint on their face

[–]yoda1304 0 points1 point ago

There wasn't any blood in his mouth, he just has a suprised expression.

[–]Jimmigill 0 points1 point ago

Wrong leg... I suppose it's okay.

[–]drunkenpost -3 points-2 points ago

[–]ThatSubtleAsian 0 points1 point ago
