I would like to see the human do this when the bear grows up. Actually I wouldn't.

I worked at Seaworld and had to do some faux finishing in the Polar bear exhibit where the bears actually live. Me and a few coworkers were escorted inside and were quite taken aback by the whole scene. Once inside the door, everything is stainless steel. There are several very thick, heavy duty doors we had to walk through. On either side of us were very thick stainless steel wall/doors with about a five inch gap from the bottom of this to the floor.

While we were listening to the animal trainer tell us about safety, from under one of the door/walls came a huge bear paw. The bear could obviously smell us and after a few attempts to reach us with it's paw it began to get agitated. It began banging on the panel with all it's mite and snorting very loudly. It scared the shit out of us.

There are three Polar bears at Seaworld Orlando. Snowflake and Klondike and Johnny. Snowflake and Klondike are brother and sister and were born and hand-raised in California when their mother refused to care for them. They were a nation-wide hit because they were so cute. I don't know where Johnny came from but he's the largest of the three and the most aggressive. He was the one that was 'interested' in us.

I learned that day that Polar bears are not white in fact, their hair is yellow. Their skin is black and the hair follicles are hollow. The black skin absorbs heat from the Sun and the hollow hair follicles allow the heat to transfer to the skin. Polar bears are the only bear that deliberately hunts man. Unlike most bears, a Polar bear won't run from a human being instead, when they smell one, they hunt it down to eat it. No animal trainers ever get close to Polar bears. When a bear needs a check up or anything done to it, the bear is sedated and a medical team takes care of it.
