I'm sorry for the way that I am.

[–]JimmyRecard 9 points10 points ago

I am whatever you say I am.

[–]11011110110010101111 10 points11 points ago

If I wasn't, then why would I say I am?

[–]JimmyRecard 6 points7 points ago

[–]ssocks 204 points205 points ago

was looking at the temp on the bank sign for like 2 minutes before realizing the kkk haha..

[–]8vitamins 43 points44 points ago

lol me too.

Do the klan just walk around like this on a regular basis? And why aren't those guys kicking their ass?

[–]B4ckSt4bber 46 points47 points ago

Its probably fake in some way.

[–]kevincuddington 32 points33 points ago

It is. The black guys are photoshopped in, I'll try and find the original.

[–]Lt3440 -4 points-3 points ago

You'll not find it. I was driving through there the day this happened. It was real. And even more awkward to see as it happened.

[–]8vitamins 0 points1 point ago

Dang, the things people can do with photoshop knowadays

[–]B4ckSt4bber 0 points1 point ago

Yeah, its insane.

[–]l33tSpeak 8 points9 points ago

It looks like one of them could be holding a sign, so it's probably some sort of rally or protest; and those young African American men decided it would be a prime opportunity to acquire karma street cred.

[–]epicwinguy101 0 points1 point ago

Looks more like a form to me. Makes sense, they are going to a bank.

[–]neurosin 0 points1 point ago

I don't think they are from Africa.

[–]vchip 0 points1 point ago

When I lived in Dallas, TX, Yes, they were out handing Klan literature at stop lights.

[–]TheThingToSay 1 point2 points ago

Because they would get arrested probably.

[–]danyanimal -1 points0 points ago

Oh shit. I thought we were just laughing at silly hand gestures or something.

[–]bRabby9 12 points13 points ago

Hey look ghosts

[–]Jake_91_420 31 points32 points ago

After spending a few months on Reddit I must assume that this is probably fake in some way.

[–]smashing_pumpkins 4 points5 points ago

Hey look these guys are big fat phony's..Get em

[–]Phoxey 7 points8 points ago

Almost as awkward as awkard.

[–]James-Nz -1 points0 points ago

AM I THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS?!

[–]notwhatthatmeans 3 points4 points ago

there was obviously at least one other person who saw it at the time of your reply.

[–]ScalySalmon 21 points22 points ago

The klans members look black.

[–]Naeddyr 1 point2 points ago

They're obviously black, look at the guy in front's hand.

[–]ubomw 23 points24 points ago

[–]leo_chaos 6 points7 points ago

Holly shit ... That's going to hurt!

[–]cat_daddy_ 7 points8 points ago

The guy on the left looks cool as fuck.

[–]Lt3440 8 points9 points ago

This happened about 18 months ago in my hometown, Centerville, TN. There were a lot more Klan members just out of frame on the right, on the courthouse front lawn. I think only one person in the photo is a local - one of the black boys in the foreground. I'm not sure which one, but that's what my sister said, and she's more their age.

Anyways, it caused a big stink for making our town look so bad, and our local politicians tried to block any demonstrations on the square in the future, but I don't think that went anywhere.

This picture was originally posted by user scuazmooq after I texted it to him. I stole it off someones Facebook page after I drove by and saw the demonstration myself, but the black people weren't there at the time.

Edit: my friends Reddit username

[–]newbootsgoofin 0 points1 point ago

Ctrl-F "centerville" When I saw this picture I remembered seeing it on Facebook. I wasn't in town when this happened but I was happy to see the negative response to these bigots.

[–]Lt3440 1 point2 points ago

Yes - the town's response was overwhelmingly negative. I was just so disappointed it happened in the first place since it appeared that the Klan demonstrators commuted in from elsewhere in the state. They should just stay home and look bad there. Centerville is actually a very nice town.

[–]TheThingToSay -2 points-1 points ago

Instead of trying to stop them, the government should simply just not protect them. Just like with the WBC, the people could easily take care of this...unsavory group...with ease.

[–]SirKeyboardCommando 6 points7 points ago

Yeah, fuck free speech!

[–]JewboiTellem 2 points3 points ago

Freedom of speech IS FOR PUSSIES!!!!!!

killer guitar riff

[–]Lt3440 0 points1 point ago

Coincidentally, the government didn't do much to protect them in this case. The administrative offices issued the permit for them to demonstrate and didn't tell any of the local law enforcement that they were coming. The sheriff found out about the demonstration as it was happening and was rightly irritated. He had no opportunity to make advance plans, but thankfully nobody was baited into doing something physical that day...

[–]tomdarch 2 points3 points ago

Ironically, that's exactly what was done to the Civil Rights movement.

The federal government had some say over interstate bus companies (like Greyhound and Trailways), because they operated in multiple states, so the bus companies were prohibited from having segregated busses or bus stations. The Freedom Riders were "black", "white" and other "races" of young adults from around the country who actually rode these busses, integrating them.

In several towns, word got out that a bus with Freedom Riders was going to pull into the station at a certain time. Thugs in town were there to meet the bus and beat up the Freedom Riders. The local police intentionally showed up 10 or 15 minutes late. (or in some cases actually stood by and watched the attacks) only stepping in at the end to arrest the Freedom Riders for trumped up charges.)

So, yeah, you aren't the first person to come up with this kind of idea. The KKK assholes that you want beaten up literally thought of it before you.

[–]th3shark 1 point2 points ago

Maybe he's commenting them out

[–]BaconPit 1 point2 points ago

I don't get it :(

[–]Lord_Bumberchute 2 points3 points ago

Sure would be a shame if those pretty white robes were to catch fire...

[–]cryglory -1 points0 points ago

Haha ninja kkk.

[–]FourFingeredMartian 1 point2 points ago

AWKWARD, AWKWARD!

[–]Footwear_Critic -1 points0 points ago

That kid on the right must feel so awkward wearing a tank top when it's 12 degrees outside.

[–]Nickyjtjr 0 points1 point ago

WHAT THE HELL!! 12 degrees, that's just too damned cold for a t-shirt.

[–]aLeXmenG -1 points0 points ago

This is a repost.

[–]corewar -1 points0 points ago

I'm a horrible person. I was so busy wondering whether or not the two black people were throwing opposing gangs signs that I missed the Klan in the background.

[–]owwhatthe 0 points1 point ago

It was at that moment that Jerry realized they should've taken the car...

[–]noahsyc1 0 points1 point ago

Photoshopped? - No. Paint: maybe.

[–]aidiot -1 points0 points ago

Worst shop I've ever seen, do you really expect us to believe "Well this is awkward" was just written there?!

[–]danmickla 1 point2 points ago

No, apparently it's awkard.

[–]Nenor 1 point2 points ago

Yea, who ruined the game, guys?!

[–]jesusbrokemapickle 0 points1 point ago

Wasnt that a store or something that has their emplyes dress like that, the place is ran by black people, similar posts to this have made the front page many times, just hope someone who remembers to comment before, some idiot starts writting a letter to some one -.-

[–]Lington -1 points0 points ago

If you look at the hand of the guy in the KKK outfit, it seems like he's black..

[–]Kartikaya 1 point2 points ago

I'll say, those two gentlemen wore exactly the same hats.

[–]RzK 1 point2 points ago

Never thought id find the KKK more normal looking than the people they hate

[–]bicycledork 0 points1 point ago

I stared at that sign for a good 15 seconds and then at the two kids trying to figure out what I was supposed to be seeing before I noticed that klan people.

[–]walloonphobia 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, I can't believe they would let black people so close to a bank!

[–]BlimeyChaps 0 points1 point ago

That dude on the left looks a bit like ice cube

[–]I_Am_Crake 0 points1 point ago

There's two racists right there and they respond by throwing up gang signs. How much more of a stereotype could they be?

[–]Rivettsroad 0 points1 point ago

Hey folks! You're gonna love this neighborhood. Every house here recycles!

[–]Frosty_lemons 1 point2 points ago

No Good?

[–]screamingatthewall 0 points1 point ago

What the fuck my hick-ass fellow town members are on reddit? I don't wanna be here any more.

[–]kraken_calamari 0 points1 point ago

what, is there something wrong with the temperature disp- oh, jeeze...

[–]WirelessYoshi 0 points1 point ago

Is it wrong that I instantly think of pokemon battle music?

[–]screamingatthewall 0 points1 point ago

By the way the dude on the left was brutally dismembered a few months after this was taken. No lie.

[–]MechaLincoln 1 point2 points ago

"I told you we should have gone the long way around"

[–]jkcnz 1 point2 points ago

Poor black guy - thinks he's both East and West side.

Oh, wait, that's not the awkward thing?

[–]GenevaLambkins 0 points1 point ago

fuck any state where this is legal.

[–]mustnotthrowaway 0 points1 point ago

That's every state, I think. At least it should be.

[–]CaptainDickbag 1 point2 points ago

Freedom of speech has to be for everyone, or it means absolutely nothing and can be taken away for no reason whatsoever.

Just because you don't like what they have to say doesn't mean you get to enforce your beliefs on them.

[–]Throwaway281281 0 points1 point ago

But surely inciting hatred is against the law? As in encouraging others to hate certain people for no other reason than they are a particular race/religion ect.

[–]CaptainDickbag 1 point2 points ago

Are you saying people are incapable of thinking for themselves?

[–]Throwaway281281 0 points1 point ago

How did you get that from what I said? I'm pretty sure preaching or inciting hatred is against the law(in the UK anyway), as people have been arrested for it in the past(and I'm sure they are still being arrested today)

[–]CaptainDickbag 0 points1 point ago

Sorry, but if you can be arrested for "inciting hatred", you live in a nanny state. Everyone should be able to say what they believe without fear of oppression by the government.

This is why the first amendment is such a big deal in the US.

[–]Baron_Nashor 0 points1 point ago

What are you implying, CaptainDickbag?

[–]GenevaLambkins 0 points1 point ago

Regardless of the legality of it I can't believe there are societies and communities where this is ok. To think that people work with, marry, reproduce with, socialize with monsters like this is revolting.

[–]Potterberryspliff -2 points-1 points ago

The people dressed as the KKK are black look at the hands

[–]Lord_Bumberchute 1 point2 points ago

And the pople who look black are actually white people in black face!

It's a conspiracy!!!

[–]TheSteaky -1 points0 points ago

erm...no, they aren't.

[–]glados_v2 -2 points-1 points ago

Is it just me or does this look Photoshopped?

[–]JimmyRecard 5 points6 points ago

How can you tell? By some pixels and seeing quite a few shops in your day?

[–]rumckle 2 points3 points ago

I think it is because words don't usually float randomly in the air.

[–]benmuzz -2 points-1 points ago

The guy on the left seems to be intimating exactly what procedure he's about to perform on these unwelcome visitors

[–]brumbrum21 1 point2 points ago

So the guy on the left is being more threatening?

[–]larson92 -2 points-1 points ago

"... I think we're in the wrong neighborhood, Joe."

[–]OneWhoHenpecksGiants -2 points-1 points ago

Shopped.

[–]CREEPYPASTA101 -4 points-3 points ago

Soon.

[–]SietchTabr 0 points1 point ago

It's really easy to stand behind someone...

[–]project151 -2 points-1 points ago

These probably aren't klan members. Many catholic rituals (for lack of a better word) use robes similar to that of the klan because the klan in fact took the robes from the catholic tradition. Don't believe me google holy week Sevilla Spain.

[–]Scarecrow398 0 points1 point ago

[PSA=The More you know] Indeed, you shouldn't have put the punchline in the title but rather than being a douché like everyone else in this thread i shall provide a suggestive title in the future.

  • Oh you in the wrong neighborhood...
  • damn it your made a wrong turn back there...
  • They're actually black under there.

[/PSA]

On another note black guys dressed as KKK robbing a bank would be hilarious as the cops chase everyone else.

[–]Marmar3000 -2 points-1 points ago

Sorry I'm in 7th grade so idk this stuff. Is there still Kkk out there? In sorry if u guys get annoyed with all my questions :/

[–]ANNOYING_CAPSLOCK -5 points-4 points ago
