On a side note how awesome would it be for the guy who originally posted this image to reddit got a shit ton of upvotes from us.... he seems to have a pretty positive karma ratio to the amount of shit he's posted. I just think that would be hilarious if ximplosionx woke up to a shit ton of karma on a 4 day old post.

This is clearly some repost bullshit, but I still feel like I should point out that the only one of those reasons that is valid is the two timestamps.

OP doesn't have any other pictures of the paper.

It's a paper. It can be adequately captured in a single image. And some people would keep it around, some wouldn't. I know for a fact I wouldn't have kept it after taking the picture.

Why would OP have said image in the first place?

They thought it was funny, or took it specifically for reddit.

Also the amount of data loss in the .jpg means this has been compressed many times.

While more distorted images are more likely to have been re-compressed than less distorted images, there's no way to know if they haven't just been highly compressed the first time around (at least, not without some advanced algorithm).

However, this image is certainly a resave, because it's actually a png, yet it has a jpg's compression artefacts, meaning that the file was previously saved as a jpg. (imgur will allow any extension in the url, but it always sends the same filetype, which is in this case a png.)

I don't know why I'm thinking about this so much. We already know it's a repost. Well, fwiw.

In Texas, "can" is pronounced 'kehn' (or occasionally keh'n, depending on how heavy the drawl is), and the vowel in bag is the same as in cab, which is pronounced 'caab'.

Definitely lap. I work at an elementary school and soooo many Kindergarten materials are like this. There's usually about one time per worksheet that when I'm instructing, I always say, "What do you guys think this is?" trying to act like I'm just getting the students involved, when in actuality I just don't know what the fuck the picture is trying to show.

Oh please. At that age my kid thought it was the height of wit to work references to genitals into every conversation he could, and it sure as hell was not an indication of abuse.

I don't understand why people think it's so alarming that a kid knows what a penis is. It's basic biology, and they're bound to ask about it by that age. What would you do, get flustered and change the subject?
