No I went paragliding, I was living in Pokhara at the time and we hiked up to Sarankot (bloody lonnnnnnnng hike) stayed the night at the lodge and then jumped off and flew down the next day. I really want to do parahawking though.

I didn't do the Annapurna circut but I did the Ghorepani trail to Poon Hill and Tatopani and then did Everest Base Camp at the end of my trip.

nice, i was at the Himalayan House in Pokhara and I worked in a small village in Padam Pokhari just outside of Narayangarh in Chitwan.

I still remember how we initially barely remembered all the Tibetan kids names and just ended up labeling them Pema #1-20

I also worked at Himalayan Children's home. So many flipping kids. And they were all covered in snot and lice. I remember Kunchuck the little dude who was crazy as can be and probably had an IQ of 5.

I also worked at Padam Pokhari in the church. Astar, Bibak, suman, amos. Library house! I spend over a month and a half in Chitwan.

Yeah that's what I did. Went up to the top drank Everest Beer, watched the sunrise, went paragliding. I was volunteering up in the village though so before and I after I lived up near the top there. Did the hike thing with my buddies. Love that place!

Yup, I've done this in Pokhara, Nepal. They told me it was the only place in the world where you could do it. Was only like $150 or something like that and they take a load of pics and videos for you. The pole in pic that extends into the foreground is holding the camera. Here's me.

It's in Nepal do yes kind of low budget but also it's like a paragliding hotspot so people from around the world go there and kind of know what they're doing

It really didn't feel low budget. To be honest, I never noticed the helmets. I was taken by the hawks. But yeah, most things in Nepal are low budget. The guy who runs this is a bird trainer from the UK who teamed up with a paraglider.

I really just like the concept of this activity.

Some guys get to go out paragliding (?) and their falcons get to ride air currents and fly around all day, which helps them to find the air currents and have an even better time.

Or not - this is parahawking. That is an Egyptian Vulture. While a proper falconry glove is nice, you can use even welding gloves to handle birds of prey (or, in this case, vultures). The guy is just a tourist, I would guess, neither piloting the paraglider, nor a falconer. The vulture is trained to fly with the glider and land on the glove. Badass level - tourist with money. Perhaps you can't reach that badass level due to fear of heights or because of limited budget -otherwise,anyone should be just fine.
