Question: Is it possible to be gender-neutral? Also when a person is having a gender change, which restroom do they use and when would it be acceptable to use the other restroom?

Sure is. Gender identity is a complex issue that I'm waaay under qualified to speak on; but people can identify as male, female, both, or neither. Your restroom choice example is one that demonstrates where the traditional gender binary breaks down.

Or which restroom has the shortest line. I'm female, and prefer to use the ladies room. But if that line is around the block I have no problem zipping into the men's room. The reason I prefer the ladies' room is because it doesn't smell like piss. It's usually cleaner and the likely hood of having toilet paper, in my experience, is higher. Also tampon dispensers. Y'never know.

I'm really intrigued now, I have nothing against people who choose not to conform to traditional gender roles. I am just really curious and don't know who to ask and answer my questions. Do they get upset when asked to mark down their gender on forms? Do laws recognize gender reassignement? I also heard that they aren't really accepted amongst the LGBT community. WHY?

To the Googles with you and your questions! Like I say, I'm not qualified, and am wary of talking out of my ass. The trans* umbrella covers many people that identify many different ways, and have many different arrangements of bits. Forms and passports and laws and such depends on the person, the place, the gov'mint, etc etc. As an example, Canada is looking at legally being able to mark X rather than M or F under 'sex' on our passports. As a general rule of thumb, trans* rights and public understanding/opinion are roughly on par with gay rights/public understanding in the 80s. Seek knowledge, friend!

My SO refuses to poop in public or at work. He'll only go at home. He'll rush home at the end of the work day with this look of desperation as he pushes the dogs out of the way. It's also funny to hide the toilet paper sometimes.

Yup. I wouldn't mind as much, if my shift didn't start at 6am. So getting up at 5 and running throughout the entire day is a bit shitty, but it's not that bad, honestly. Traffic is obsolete, it's cozy to drive when it's dark lol.

Yeah. The 5am wake up is annoying, but honestly, it's not that early when you think about it. It's a common time for business people, and retail ones like myself. There's no traffic, but still quite a few people out at that hour.

Right on. I wouldn't mind that type of shift. Kinda sucks being in on nights like this, since I work weekends. If I planned it better, I could still have fun, just have to be home before 12. Although I might start experimenting with staying out later, then just going in tired. But not next week. It's going to be crazy lol.

I don't miss being the guy that "didn't mind" working holidays so my co-workers at the grocery store could go have a party/BBQ with their family. On the bright side, the second half of the day was usually completely empty during a holiday, so at least there's little work to be done. You have my condolences regardless.

I hate all my friends in retail, They complain that they have to work the long weekends (labour day and Cup day)

I simply think "screw you" to them as well, at least they get paid a higher wage because it's a public holiday.

I work in the entertainment industry (rigging for events), A public holiday means a day of even harder work for even less pay, No overtime, No Sunday wages, just 4 days of non-stop 4am-11pm work.

And then I am back at work Tuesday morning at 8am.
