All newer games it's not just a camera and actually uses a character where you have sometimes multiple cameras for viewing (i.e. War Inc. - First person and third person can be changed every time you die, WoW - you can zoom in to view just like the pic or you can zoom all the way out to watch your character walk in any angle)

I have. I'm super liberal, and probably wouldn't normally have shot guns...

Except that I grew up in Texas, where at a young age in the boy scouts I learned to respect guns, learned how to shoot rifles and shotguns, and have since shot many pistols. And I own a Mosin-Nagant!

Guns are wicked fun. :D And I'm a total pacifist, btw. Never shoot anything but targets and clay pigeons.

And how is it off-topic? Someone asked if anyone had fired guns, he replied with an anecdote about how he has. Anyone looking to respond could have done so easily (I own this gun, I've had this much experience, does a liberal political stance have anything to do with owning firearms, etc).

I'm super liberal and thus support personal freedoms. I enjoy owning many guns and go sport shooting very often. We should never punish the legal gun owners for what the illegal gun owners do with theirs. I've always been baffled how other liberals don't support gun ownership for the personal freedom reason alone, let alone the not punishing the many for the actions of the few. Seriously, if we did that cars would be illegal in a heartbeat.

There are some things I cross over to libertarian with (mainly personal freedoms) but I'm drastically opposed to others.

eg. I think banks and businesses need the ever-loving crap regulated out of them. I also think Taxes should be increased and would be in favor a of flat percentage based tax so that everyone feels the same pain on every single dollar of income.

Actually was dl'ing 1.6 at the time of veiwing this and there is an option to pick high quality over low quality and the high quality download has the CS:S modeled guns.

Have you ever held a gun, OP? If you're holding a gun in real life, you're going to prop it against the crook of your shoulder to steady your shot and avoid recoil movement. So the first person perspective on this game and most FPS games as far as the gun position goes, is probably correct.

in halo the camera is sitting on top of the characters head. And strangely enough the bullets you shoot actually come from the center of the camera. so if your gun is behind a rock but your face inst, you can still shoot over it. Strange..

camera placement aside... even the most tooted "realistic" shooters show the player "shooting from the hip" like hes the terminator or some shit. also the player is some total complete fatass... because of hot fat his hips and his arms are he has to point the gun diagonally across his body because he can't point it straight.
