ITT: We debate equality, and how "feminine rights" is turning into "male oppression".

I wouldn't think twice about joking with a male friend that is a nurse, however feminists have decided to take advantage of this completely non-female-exclusive joke and create something similar to white guilt. It's so unbelievably ridiculous, because we are at a point in society where gender inequality has diminished to near extinction. At this point people are just looking for something unimportant to bitch about.

How many flying fucks do you think I care about the stereotype that men watch sports all day and have beer bellies? Exactly zero.

Not really, I just don't take it personally. but I might agree with the uptight part a bit. At worst, it's a bit "off color" so to speak. But, the question I ask myself before being truly offend is "Do I think this person really believes this?" In this case, I do not believe he means to say all women should be in a kitchen; I believe He is sarcastically making fun of the 50s stereo type of women. So it is hilarious to me.

Edit: I believe the view point your having comes when you enter these situation with "an agenda to offended."

Maybe I was a bit unclear. No matter how funny the subject in question, someone will menopause all over it and make everyone feel bad. It's not about if it's funny or not anymore, it's about if some over-sheltered suburban mom stumbles into this subreddit and starts going bananas, making rules of what is funny and what isn't, what is to be made fun of and what not to be made fun of. Comedic value no longer stands ground here, everyone's just getting upset because about half the population has a vagina and the other half has a dong.

Offense isn't the real problem here, the joke was barely funny the first time and now they aren't even really beating a dead horse, they're just pummeling chunks of wet bone into the floorboards. All you people always bitching about "REPOST!" need to find something better to do.

This is how I came to find this:

  1. Clicked on the comments for the aerial view for Neil Pert's drum kit.
  2. Watched some Pert videos.
  3. Saw a related video of a hot chick playing drums (Which I love if they are good)
  4. Saw the infamous top comment.
  5. Thought it was funny, I got a chuckle out of it, thought some people reddit might enjoy it for a laugh.
  6. Took a screen cap, threw it in Paint, cropped some shit, imgur'ed that shit.
  7. Posted in /r/funny
  8. Hey! some people actually think it is funny!

I've never seen this post on reddit, or seen it posted on youtube. I don't fucking care about karma. It's amazing how belligerent and spiteful people can be in a subreddit completely devoted to making people laugh. You are worse than the youtube commenters you are complaining about.
