Kinda true. It was actually a Chinese chemicals broker. He was arrested in Vegas and this was one of his houses in Mexico.

I lied he wasnt my neighbor but it is true he was a little Chinese man who was an extremely rich chemical broker that owned a bunch of property in mexico and also ended up being framed by the cartel. I am too lazy to find the article but I read it on the DEA microgram when they used to publish those.

He wasn't framed, he was a supplier for the cartels for chemicals used in the manufacturing of meth. He was just the asshole who got left holding the bag whenever his organization got busted. He's been fighting extradition, because he knows if he returns to Mexico he's the guy who lost the cartels $200 million.

        The cash in the foreground are Mexican pesos. The Maroon are 500 pesos, the green 200's and orange 100's. The blue ones in between the maroon and green could be 500's also, or 1000's. Hard to tell from this picture.

        500 pesos are worth 37.5 US dollars at today's exchange, 200=15, 100=7.5.

One guy was talking about what he called "weigh money" He explained that so much money was coming and going that to save time and not have to count it they would weigh it.         Not sure about Mexican laws, but in the US, they would have a period where they could claim it if they were able to show how they made it through legal purposes. Even then, it would be held until the entire investigation was finished. If not claimed, the state gets its.

        I think that if someone flipped and that led to the seizure, the person who flipped gets a very big percentage. Some criminals have turned and gotten huge sums of money. The rest goes to the law enforcement agency.
