[–]goodsirguy 469 points470 points ago

That is Jacob Volkmann. He is a fighter in the UFC who likes to bash Obama in his post fight interviews. He even got a visit from the secret service after one remark about Obama sounded threatening.

[–]dztrbdgod 115 points116 points ago

What??? Gonna need some verification on that one.

[–]Black_Apalachi 11 points12 points ago

I was expecting somebody to come and smash his head against the wall. How the hell did they make that gif???

[–]Zippyo 9 points10 points ago

Its a different person who falls off the wall, you can see his hair change. The rest is just green screen filming laid in with obama's face put on top. I think they did a great job with it.

[–]juaydarito 57 points58 points ago

Well, he's a chiropractor, so he knows his healthcare....

[–]robo23 259 points260 points ago

A chiropractor knows medicine like a guy who builds legos knows civil engineering.

[–]BeardedLadyWithaDick 23 points24 points ago

I'll have you know I built the Eiffel Tower, the trans-Pacific Railway, and a spaceship. I know plenty about civil engineering.

[–]godin_sdxt 14 points15 points ago

BeardedLadyWithaDick

claims to be French

Looks like his story checks out, boss.

[–]Jafit 9 points10 points ago

Fuck your gay-ass LE Eiffel LE Tower bullshit. Why don't you take that piece of shit train and ride a railroad car full of dicks up your own ass! And then fuck off into space! You cunt!

I... wh... I'm sorry... I only learned about uncivil engineering with Lego.

[–]Doctor_Loggins 51 points52 points ago

So... really well? Right guise?

[–]frozenveinz 6 points7 points ago

Subtle, but brilliant.. You are under the guise of an oblivious redditor

[–]Doctor_Loggins 26 points27 points ago

[–]Tito_Lebowitz 17 points18 points ago

Perfect. Analogy.

[–]Arve 4 points5 points ago

Curse /r/bestof's "no default subreddits" rule. I have never seen a more apt analogy for anything. Ever. Here, have my upvote.

Edit: I did however submit it to /r/defaultgems

[–]opmsdd 92 points93 points ago

I have no clue why the hell anyone would downvote a source....

Edit: When I commented he had 0 upvotes after an hour.

[–]wioneo 90 points91 points ago

I'm assuming because it's from the mobile site.

[–]goodsirguy 66 points67 points ago

I'm on my phone

[–]iltalldude 53 points54 points ago

You can make the link non-mobile by just deleting the "m" before the YouTube.

Anyways, just a tip

[–]FalconFrenulum 105 points106 points ago

…just to see how it feels

[–]iltalldude 8 points9 points ago

[–]smeenz 31 points32 points ago

I'm on a horse

[–]brazen 32 points33 points ago

You can make the link non-horse just by deleting the "h" before the youtube.com.

[–]FuLLMeTaL604 9 points10 points ago

I was confused at first but it's easy to click Desktop and have YouTube back to normal.

[–]hangerbaby 50 points51 points ago

I know volkmann quite well in real life, and this secret service thing is true, but isnt as serious as it sounds.

Basically some woman called it in as a terroristic threat and it is secret service policy to investigate shit like that, so unfortunately yes, he was paid a visit.

[–]stingen 64 points65 points ago

I'm sorry you know him. Cause I remember watching this interview live and thinking what a douche. No one likes a person who preaches there politics or religion.THIS IS MMA.

On top of that he blankets people. I'm glad 151 was cancelled now so we didn't have to watch him.

[–]mebbee 18 points19 points ago

He is boring as hell as a "fighter". Last time I watched him fight he won by doing virtually no damage. He just smothered the guy with wrasslin'. It was frustrating to watch, and I appreciate wrestlers too.

Also the interview he did with Rogan after the fight was just insanely awkward. I felt uncomfortable just watching.

[–]fourpac 39 points40 points ago

One more loss and the UFC will hopefully cut him. Dana hates him for making the company look bad, the fans hate him for being a boring fighter, and Rogan hates him for being stupidly unfunny.

[–]calamormine 13 points14 points ago

Rogan really hates when people move in on his territory.

[–]mariamus 1541 points1542 points ago

I don't think this gif has ever been as appropriate as it is right now.

[–]thatpaxguy 563 points564 points ago

Looks like we can retire this one then. Right guys? Haha... ha.

[–]StopReadingMyUser 322 points323 points ago

Next week on Reddit, find out what happens when a man feels like he lost that promotion to a new hire!

[–]FreshlySquozen 65 points66 points ago

Really crossing my fingers for the whole election results feels

[–]USheep 74 points75 points ago

We'll have this back on the front page when Obama wins the re-election.

[–]Gooberpatrol66 64 points65 points ago

Of course, Romney's head will be photoshopped in over the other dude's.

[–]ragingmeasles 19 points20 points ago

[–]ConMan77 37 points38 points ago

Can someone do this now please?

[–]cpppp 61 points62 points ago

... so that I can post it first?

[–]2Weird2Live2Rare2Die 31 points32 points ago

...and I can repost it?

[–]Burtonium 4 points5 points ago

and I, the consumer, can complain about it not being good enough without actually trying to do better?

[–]vteckickedin 2 points3 points ago

I'll cross post it to gifs if you post it in /r funny.

[–]Banana_Party 81 points82 points ago

False, expect to see this post at least once more on the front page this week.

[–]Cabbage_Vendor 40 points41 points ago

Let's hope whoever does, cares enough to edit it slightly.

[–]Banana_Party 20 points21 points ago

Yeah, I guess the title would tip us off lol.

[–]charlie123517 14 points15 points ago

...or 300 times, maybe

[–]imnotracist_nigrah 2 points3 points ago

Hahaha.. good luck on this website lol nothing ever gets retired..

[–]awang0830 2 points3 points ago

It's been on replay for about half an hour now. Peaceful bday it has been.

[–]attosama 56 points57 points ago

What happened today?

[–]Uzzad 652 points653 points ago

Obama's AMA.... or a better term would be... ObAMA!

... yeah, I'll show myself out.

[–]Jump_My_Juicy 266 points267 points ago

Don't you go anywhere. That was clever. I feel dumb for not seeing it.

[–]Ceryn 151 points152 points ago

Too bad he copied it from a comment with over 1000 upvotes in the actual Obama AMA. :X

[–]Distrails 81 points82 points ago

I read the AMA and didn't see that in there, not everybody copies!

[–]Wild_Bulbasaur 14 points15 points ago

How many comments are there on it? Like 17,000?

[–]nousernameissafe 23 points24 points ago

21,028 as of right now.

[–]MedievalManagement 24 points25 points ago

[–]nousernameissafe 15 points16 points ago

Actually it's 10. /u/PresidentObama

I feel "ramparted".

[–]IamLiamNeeson 3 points4 points ago

It was definitely in there. WAAAAY earlier today.

[–]rdbd 44 points45 points ago

[–]Mofrosho 5 points6 points ago

by far the best one I've seen yet

[–]amputeenager 18 points19 points ago

How did...where did...wow...you rule.

[–]Berton_Guster_Voice 8 points9 points ago

I quite liked that!

[–]Darth_Tard 8 points9 points ago

That was pretty good.

[–]OverhaulNathan 32 points33 points ago

Obama ruined our AMA. We will be demanding a case of White House beer as recompense for this transgression.

[–]iamthemindfreak 3 points4 points ago

PO fits better into the situation

[–]hilarioussagittarius 10 points11 points ago

That gif is impressive. How long has it been around?

[–]cjlonghorn25 67 points68 points ago

poor starburns

[–]ben010783 20 points21 points ago

[–]GeorgeTaylorG 3 points4 points ago

I spent a majority of the day on here and never saw Dino's AMA.

[–]Monso 183 points184 points ago

The wink at the end just completely fucking seals it.

[–]thundershaft 9 points10 points ago

The spider webbing of the glass was a great touch as well

[–]linhmonade 282 points283 points ago

Bad Luck Brian's AMA

[–]LittleCucumber 35 points36 points ago

Does anyone have the link to that? I never got to see it.

[–]Buizbuiz 41 points42 points ago

[–]stb14808 89 points90 points ago

Funny enough, the first time he tried doing it, a mod deleted the thread. He really is cursed.

[–]CaptainSombrero 16 points17 points ago

That wasn't the real Bad luck brian anyway, and it technically was breaking /r/IAma's rule saying that amas should not have been about internet experiences.

[–]krizll 45 points46 points ago

the mods didn't do that to Ridiculously Photogenic Guy's AMA

[–]mongooseondaloose 24 points25 points ago

I heard they tried to, but the delete button would just turn into his face, and they couldn't bring themselves to do it.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]Derekristow 19 points20 points ago

Karmanaut did his AMA more than a year before the BLB fiasco. The rules on what AMAs are acceptable were changed in that time. The greater offense in my opinion was allowing Ridiculously Photogenic Guy to do his, but saying just a few days later that Bad Luck Brian was too trivial.

[–]krizll 6 points7 points ago

the mods didn't do that to Ridiculously Photogenic Guy's AMA

[–]holy_repost_batman 6 points7 points ago

The mods took down the one on r/IAmA, but he made another on r/AdviceAnimals.

[–]starryeyedq 7 points8 points ago

Hurry! Go make it and post it before someone else steals your karma!:P

[–]floppy_dicks 169 points170 points ago

I can't believe Im saying this, but I had no idea Barack Obama was doing an AMA until I came across this post. I made it all the way back 550 before I saw this and checked the front page. Immediately face palmed.

[–]donbvonb 61 points62 points ago

I was wondering why reddit was performing so poorly when us /r/neworleans peeps were trying to spread infos (until someone mentioned the AMA)

<sarcasm>Obviously Obama doesn't care about us </sarcasm>

[–]SilentNick3 43 points44 points ago

Barack Obama doesn't care about black people.

[–]Osiris32 11 points12 points ago

I didn't know about it until it was over. Just kept wondering why reddit was being so slow. Then my sister texted me and told me he was doing an AMA.

Where, exactly, was this publicized? If it was on facebook, I missed it. I don't do twitter, so that's a bust. Did /r/iama have a post saying it was upcoming?

[–]Roboticide 23 points24 points ago

I don't think there was any advance notice. I think he just showed up, provided verification, and did it.

I can only imagine the looks on the Mods' and Admins' faces when they got that message.

"Hahaha, look, someone is trying to fake Oba... HOLY SHIT."

[–]Osiris32 20 points21 points ago

"PLEASE STAND BY FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES."

Shit, I should have put on some pants or something.

[–]floppy_dicks 3 points4 points ago

Well to be fair, his AMA was only 30 minutes (probably equivalent to at least a day for him given how busy he is). I was lurking about 10-15 pages away from the front page when I found out. By then it was all over :/

As far as advanced notice, I have no idea.

[–]Reliant 6 points7 points ago

It actually made the local news in Montreal. I found out about it on the radio while driving home. They even joked about the beer recipe.

[–]dont_press_ctrl-W 14 points15 points ago

Same here, since I'm not subscribed to /r/iama

But really that means it's working as intended. When something big happens over there, it generally gets mentioned elsewhere anyway, so it's redundant to subscribe to it.

[–]Jacosion 1050 points1051 points ago

We got the president of the United states of America to do an AMA. Reddit wins the internet. Suck it 9GAG.

[–]asoap 125 points126 points ago

Hopefully the Romney campaign will want to one up us and post to 4chan.

[–]AntiHer0z 45 points46 points ago

I wouldn't wanna be around for that shit storm

[–]CountGrasshopper 35 points36 points ago

I would.

[–]cakezilla 20 points21 points ago

I'll just wait for screenshots on reddit.

[–]geft 32 points33 points ago

[–]Tridian 15 points16 points ago

Oh dear god that would go so beautifully horribly wrong.

[–]Captain_d00m 20 points21 points ago

>Be me, rich asshole

>hanging out with rich friends

>rich friends want to buy me a sixth house

>mfw I already have sixth house

>spaghetti falls out of pockets and I burst into treats

[–]HavocSynapse 552 points553 points ago

I honestly think its a way to get votes from younger people but either way it's badass.

[–]TrustMeImUnemployed 78 points79 points ago

Breaking News: President wants votes

[–]agorism_is_cool 12 points13 points ago

Obama did an AMA! Look! He's one of us!

[–]punderful 64 points65 points ago

Wait wait wait...

You're saying. Let me get this straight...YOU'RE SAYING, that a politician, who's running for office THIS YEAR did not just answer questions on Reddit because he loves the community and enjoys talking to Redditors? I find that hard to believe.

Edit: Grammar

[–]I_HaveAHat 310 points311 points ago

Oh there definitely was a secondary objective to secure more votes (I loved the part where he said "remember to vote November 9" in all caps) but at least it was beneficial for both parties

[–]Decalis 72 points73 points ago

I'm sorry, that was his secondary objective?

[–]Jaspers47 59 points60 points ago

Hawking that White House microbrew.

[–]Repyro 179 points180 points ago

I think he was trying to sell that new voter registering website to us. It worked for me, made registering ridiculously easy.

Probably to counter against the Republican voter suppression, though.

I wish he answered the harder questions though.

Here's the link.

[–]Ttiger 177 points178 points ago

Guy only had a short window of time, the harder questions would have taken forever. He kinda plugged in answers he's answered before, its hard to blame him. Just the gesture itself was a big deal for reddit.

[–]gsfgf 85 points86 points ago

Yea. Just remember that he was on record for each response. Team Mittens is reading that AMA right now and looking for any way to burn him for it. I think he did a good job of giving real answers that hadn't gone through 15 layers of vetting and message testing.

[–]DownvoteAllTheWorld 56 points57 points ago

NEXT ON FOX NEWS: YOUR PRESIDENT IS ILLITERATE!

(Referencing him saying a asteroid)

Edit: Spelling (ironically enough)

[–]peterjmag 19 points20 points ago

I appreciate the irony of you misspelling asteroid.

[–]WumboJumbo 14 points15 points ago

hates America cause he's a bulls/jordan fan and not a 2012 dream team fan and drinks too much beer which he makes himself, not supporting the glorious american brewing corporations which are owned by the Dutch.

[–]willscy 4 points5 points ago

I don't see why you think his answers weren't written out before hand picked from a pool of likely questions. I mean he only answered a few serious ones.

[–]Cabbage_Vendor 19 points20 points ago

To be fair, the site was down most of the time he was on, so I can't imagine him being able to refresh a lot.

Or does the White House have a priority connection to all websites?

[–]Repyro 16 points17 points ago

I doubt that. I'm not against Obama at all, but let's be honest with ourselves. All politicians need to sell themselves to the people and need to cover up any dirt or negativity that might be gleaned and used against them. They all do it, from the "honest" libertarians, to the Democrats and to the Republicans. I was understanding of Obama's term, but things like coming out for Gay Marriage right after North Carolina passed their disgusting bill, were calculated political moves. I can see the reason in it and understand it, but I didn't and still don't like it.

I'll still take an opportunistic ally over the bigots and the people tolerating the bigots though. And I''l give anyone the benefit of the doubt as long as they realize they made a mistake as long as they try not to repeat it.

[–]Cabbage_Vendor 18 points19 points ago

It was still a ballsy thing to do considering he already had the gay and gay-supporting vote by not being republican. It's not even having those people actually go vote because they are among the ones who have the most to lose with a republican president.

It was nice to see a democrat willing to stand for what they believe in though, which might've been the point.

[–]Repyro 9 points10 points ago

It would have been nice if he stood up for it from the start in a solid and uncompromising fashion, if he tried to stop things like the NC bill from coming to pass by pushing on the Supreme court to remedy this bullshit once and for all. But I guess that would be unrealistic and would have had consequences.

Yes he did it as subtly as possible, but I wish he could have done more. And I wish this country wasn't so full of shit at times.

Alas, these are merely unrealistic pipe dreams. They'll start this all over again with something different eventually, and gay people, like the African American community, will oppress them too.

By all accounts you are right, I agree with you.

[–]MechaKnight 8 points9 points ago

Now is a bad time for liberals to try to accomplish anything in the Supreme Court. We can't count on another miracle like John Roberts flipping sides to save healthcare reform. Unfortunately it's become a politicized entity and tends to vote 5-4 in favor of the conservative side.

[–]LukaCola 20 points21 points ago

Well, personally I haven't had this problem since my teacher gave us sheets to fill in senior year, but I know a lot of 18 year olds (and over) have a lot of trouble figuring out where to register.

Setting up an easy way to do it is only beneficial. Unfortunately for the Republican party younger voters tend to have a liberal bias, but I consider giving people the right to vote good regardless due to that being how our country basically operates.

E: For all the smartasses out there, yes, it is technically rather easy. If you know how to do it or take the time to do it. But let's be honest, that's rarely the case for people. If you can't do it through the internet few will ever bother with it. DMVs are only open on certain days, and a lot of people don't even know where their town hall is.

[–]WenchSlayer 6 points7 points ago

As an 18 yr old who registered in march, I had no problems at all. Just go to city hall and it takes like 5 mins

[–]LukaCola 29 points30 points ago

Cause everyone lives in a city right...?

[–]solindvian 3 points4 points ago

You have internet and a mail box? Because I just printed out a form and mailed it to the town hall/voting center in my city...it isn't hard to register, people just are lazy/don't care.

[–]anyalicious 4 points5 points ago

Do you have a DMV?

[–]cucchiaio 35 points36 points ago

Aw yeah I love hanging out at the DMV!

[–]theguywholosesthings 11 points12 points ago

Who gets through the DMV in 5 minutes?

[–]willscy 5 points6 points ago

5 minute dmv visit? are you living in heaven?

[–]Repyro 6 points7 points ago

I had problems finding it. They don't really teach you many essentials like that sadly. Gotta start somewhere I guess.

[–]WigginIII 3 points4 points ago

I registered in line at a rock concert. Filled out a form in 10 minutes and got mail later confirming my registration. Was super easy and convenient.

[–]kurin 18 points19 points ago

Secondary? The dude was campaigning. Not that I blame him, but his entire objective was to get votes.

[–]Remnants 11 points12 points ago

Election day is the 6th isn't it?

[–]Tuor896 3 points4 points ago

I believe so

[–]solindvian 5 points6 points ago

It is.

[–]greenthumble 5 points6 points ago

Yeah I wish I_HaveAHat would correct the post. Because this is a stupid dirty trick that has been tried to death every election and it makes the poster look shady, even if that was not the intent.

[–]AwesomeMcPants 4 points5 points ago

"When November 9th rolls around, remember to "Like", comment, and subscribe!"

[–]TheSentientUniverse 8 points9 points ago

November 9....9th of the 11th month... This is clearly definitive, uncompromising proof, that Obama is Illuminati, and that Sept. 11 was an inside job.

Seriously, though, that's an amusing date correlation for anyone using dd/mm/yyyy.

[–]starryeyedq 37 points38 points ago

Of course it is! But so what? Obama has been utilizing the internet in a way no other high-profile politician has. I think it's really interesting to watch. It also gives the impression of being far more in touch with a culture that many men his age and profession are not. Not the only reason to vote for him of course, but you've gotta give the man props!

[–]rabbischmooleyishot 36 points37 points ago

I had the same conversation with my boyfriend who is anti-Obama. I texted to tell him that Obama was on Reddit and going to do an AMA. I was geeked! Regardless if you agree with him or not or vote for him or not I thought it was pretty cool, scratch that - pretty AWESOME - for the President of the US to embrace technology in this way. It works for him. It worked for me and I surprised myself on how connected I felt and kept hitting refresh to see his answers. I cannot picture Mitt Romney being able to pull off an AMA in the same fashion. Times are changing and stuffy politicians are going to need to evolve and embrace different ways of campaigning to connect with the people in the future.

[–]XtReMeSaUcE 5 points6 points ago

The reason Romney wouldn't be able to do an AmA is pretty much because nearly all of reddit hates him. Reddit swings left, nothing is going to change. :/

[–]BigSwedenMan 9 points10 points ago

Well yes, but he could have done it on any number of sites. He chose reddit, probably because of the popularity of the AMA subreddit. Either way, when I saw it on the front page, it had 8000 net karma. I've never seen a post reach 5000

[–]sexiestmanalive 25 points26 points ago

Who are we kidding. He had all of reddit's votes anyway!

[–]OceanHamster 13 points14 points ago

Seriously? People are getting downvoted for saying they aren't voting for Obama? Wow, Reddit...

[–]greenthumble 9 points10 points ago

I also previously thought reddit was fairly liberal / Democrat leaning. Look at the votes on the AMA though. 300,000 votes and only a 6k difference between up and downvotes. I was pretty shocked. Are those people voting for president or downvoting for bad quality? I suspect the former, since that is the greatest AMA in the whole history of AMA.

Edit: I had an older version of the page loaded in a tab. It's even more narrow now, 4542 difference. I still don't believe Romney has any chance in November, but this is a bit disconcerting. I wonder if this is a bunch of brand new accounts created today, e.g. similar to the Digg Patriots.

Edit 2: Ok thanks guys. Fuzzy votes, interesting. I'm a bit new (one month in) and didn't realize the extent of it. Yeah I've seen my personal page fluctuate up and down by a vote or two. Bit shocked that it could make that big a difference.

[–]Cheeky_Hustler 17 points18 points ago

Most of the downvotes are Reddit's automatic algorithm for tracking relative popularity of posts.

[–]Derekristow 7 points8 points ago

I'm not so sure of that in this case. It was at ~+17,000 a while ago, and it's been fluctuating pretty wildly since. Supposedly the algorithm only affects the ratio of upvotes to downvotes, and not the shown total, so either the AMA has been highly controversial or the points matter even less than we've been lead to believe.

[–]Braude 14 points15 points ago

Reddit is already all over Obama's wang, I don't think he gained any voters.

[–]Bluelabel 2 points3 points ago

To bad 90% of the people on here are below voting age

[–]yep45 30 points31 points ago

THEY'RE OUR RIVALS

[–]PoopFilledPants 15 points16 points ago

It would have been winning if the president had been able to answer more than 10 questions before the whole site shut down. Hasn't Reddit had enough time to prepare for this kind of publicity?

Reddit wins the internet. Suck it 9GAG.

imagine caring about this or having this thought even cross your mind

[–]Jacosion 18 points19 points ago

I didn't until we won.

[–]TheAmbiguityBuster 3 points4 points ago

We got the...

What? He just came on, unannounced and unprovoked (except maybe by one of his staff members). "We" didn't do shit.

[–]armoredphoenix1 55 points56 points ago

If I had to choose a president out of the recent AMAs we have had, i'd still choose Terry Crews as President.

[–]BigEasyBobcat 15 points16 points ago

I saw saw had done an AMA 10 minutes after it started. I couldn't post a comment because it was already backed up at that point. It made me sad :(

[–]couldbutwont 26 points27 points ago

Terry Crews' was better.

[–]Heiwanshang 9 points10 points ago

Terry Crews' was great

[–]Kawaii- 2 points3 points ago

Not going to lie terry did an awesome AMA he stayed and chatted with us so long.

Still it didn't help that reddit melted during Obamas AMA i'm surprised he stuck through it as long as he did.

[–]MedievalManagement 39 points40 points ago

Barack Obama broke Reddit. Mitt Romney would never break Reddit.

It'd awesome to see that gif with Obama smashing Romney's head instead

[–]Oxidants_Happen 75 points76 points ago

I'm just waiting for this to be on Fox News with the headline "Obama Assaults Innocent Bystander!"

[–]RasheedWallace 8 points9 points ago

Was just watching coverage of the RNC, the crawl on the bottom referenced something he said 'on the website reddit.com today'

[–]SirCowMan 33 points34 points ago

MSNBC and NPR: "Obama Personally Beats Down Terrorist Ringleader!" Yes, we know that news is biased.

[–]hephtyvulcan 28 points29 points ago

new favorite gif!

[–]Basedgod91 7 points8 points ago

Poor Dino. I loved Moral Orel.

[–]SlickUK 11 points12 points ago

I honestly preferred Terry Crews AMA...

[–]Delta_6 7 points8 points ago

Obama's AMA was exactly what was to be expected. He answered with political speak, promised to do things but those things aren't actually anything, made a few "hey, I'm just a regular guy" bits, and left without actually doing all that much.

However he took advantage of a medium that very few politicians have and spent more time answering than he said he would. I think it was a great move. However I won't be voting for him on his merits. Keeping gitmo open, extending patriot act, and various other campaign promises that he didn't just ignore but actually did the opposite.

I am voting for him because in a race between Mitt "Give me your money and go die you plebeian" Romney vs Barack "whoops, I meant I wanted the government to be less transparent" Obama I will pick Obama.

[–]Draithegemini 4 points5 points ago

Terry Crews was the BEST AMA I've ever read... President Obama's cool and all but I knew we wouldn't come close to President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho.

[–]DragonRaptor 34 points35 points ago

You know, his AMA was only for 30 min, he answered a few questions and that's it. Everyone else is just spouting their own politics in it now.

[–]cloudofawesome 103 points104 points ago

He's the president of the United States afterall and a very busy man! 30 mins from a sitting president is not something to simply look past. I give him serious respect for bothering to do it in the first place. And it's for the best he wrapped things up before hurricane r/politics circlejerk hit it.

[–]pyx 50 points51 points ago

He ended his last comment with "NOT BAD" also. Major props.

[–]Kevinsense 4 points5 points ago

With all time he spends on his campaigns traveling to small towns and cities to speak and shake hands, it's no surprise that he would spend just 30 minutes reaching out to such a mass of voters who would all be impressed to see him do an AMA.

[–]DragonRaptor 12 points13 points ago

Oh, I wasn't complaining about that. I was just saying that he really didn't shove everyone else's ama's aside. he only took the spotlight for a short time.

[–]DeSanti 25 points26 points ago

To be fair he at least announced that he only would do this for half an hour.

[–]goaliemath31 3 points4 points ago

Words cannot describe how well played this is, my hat goes off to you sir.

[–]SqueezeNPoop 7 points8 points ago

dat wink

[–]Choochieman3 13 points14 points ago

That was wonderful editing.

[–]IamBOXBOY[S] 18 points19 points ago

Sadly I didn't create this :(

[–]kangaroostew 7 points8 points ago

I don't. Terry Crews was amazing. Best ever in my opinion. Obama didn't answer many, I understand he's a busy guy but Terry knocked it out of the park. CREWS 2012

[–]OrphanDidgeridoo 6 points7 points ago

I'd like to see good ol' MITT ROMNEY do an AMA.

So many WHY ARE YOU AN ASSHOLE

[–]betabandzz 3 points4 points ago

I don't think Reddit will ever be as it was.

[–]MissDenouement 4 points5 points ago

I only wish Romney would do an AMA... I'm sure his answers would be hilariously awkward. Then we could spam him with Relatable Romney memes.

[–]joeyisapest 4 points5 points ago

Poor starburns

[–]N-DAR 2 points3 points ago

Yea dude, Obama was probably pissed his AMA was on the same day as Starburns.

[–]jzand219 14 points15 points ago

Best gif of all time.

[–]shaven_neckbeard 8 points9 points ago

Can someone put Romney's head in there so we can play it after Obama wins this November?

[–]shaven_neckbeard 10 points11 points ago

[–]Ervinski 13 points14 points ago

Did anyone else notice the head change when it slammed into the wall?

[–]wazoheat 164 points165 points ago
