Yeah this is actually how the rest of the country feels. It's a cat. 1 hurricane. It's gonna knock over a few stop signs and that's it. By the time it hits land it isn't gonna do shit. Unless it comes with a LOT of rain I couldn't care less.

At least you can build dams against the water (New Orleans now has Dutch build defences if I remember correctly, should be fine with Isaac).

I live in Florida as well. Streets were flooded. Friends of mine and I went canoeing in the streets (canoeing IN the streets they were so badly flooded). ~ $11 million worth of damage. It wasn't a bad storm, but the flooding did some serious shit.
