      I was actually thinking about that while watching it. I don't think snapping turtle are natural predators of mice/rats. I would say they eat mostly fish but wikipedia says:

      Snapping turtles are omnivores, consuming both plant and animal matter, and are important aquatic scavengers; but they are also active hunters that prey on anything they can swallow, including many invertebrates, fish, frogs, reptiles (including snakes and smaller turtles), unwary birds, and small mammals.

            Thats not uncommon for most reptiles, but if this were a feeding tank then someone would have to reach into the tank and catch that turtle every day to be placed into a feeding tank, then the same to move it back into its normal enclosure.

            I don't know if you've ever come face to face with a snapping turtle, but as far as temperament goes they are aquatic wolverines.

              It is. The art is MUCH better, the plot is more interesting... I mostly liked it because the art was so cute. It's definitely worth a read if you have the time. This specific picture is from Pokemon Adventures (there are multiple Pokemon manga).

                Haha wow I remember seeing this for the first time on youtube. What a crazy video. I think some backstory on feeding it these rats was because they were planning on releasing it back to the wild, so they had to have its hunter/killing instincts still intact.
