As a Pokemon guy myself, I can completely confirm this.

If I see a Snorlax on Route 11 scarfing down a trayfull of Leftovers, I'm going to be a judgemental arsehole.

If I see a Snorlax with Macho Brace on Victory Road, actually working up a sweat, I'm thinking "Good on ya, mate".
