Wonderful. Should be front page in about an hour. :-)

[–]whatfellfromthemoon 0 points1 point ago

actually this is reposted at least once a week, but I still read it every time:)

[–]chakolate 0 points1 point ago

I haven't seen it before, but I suspect I'll reread it every time, too. :-)

The philosophy contained in this is quite satisfying.

[–]gadielwiggy 5 points6 points ago

does anyone know the origin or author of this comic?

[–]keoShine 4 points5 points ago

http://www.kiriakakis.net/

There are links under each page of the comic. It didn't take much time to find the answer.

[–]HayZeusKreesto 6 points7 points ago

Really? Nobody is going to comment on the dark shadowy figure walking a fucking fish? Because after seeing that, I literally couldn't even focus anymore on the philosophical significance of the post. All I was thinking about was, "What the fuck is that supposed to represent? Is it the devil walking god? Is it Baphomet? What the fuck does it mean?"

[–]cor3lements 10 points11 points ago

Hey, look! Questions...

[–]Galphanore 0 points1 point ago

For a very brief moment I thought the big guy had turned into a fish and was confused.

[–]kerdon 2 points3 points ago

Awesome. Beautiful and creative.

[–]VerneAsimov 2 points3 points ago

Panel six, box three. I knew they were going to say something philosophical due to the silhouetting. Is it common to do such a thing?

[–]octalpus 2 points3 points ago

I believe its an artistic way to make you step back and view what their saying from a larger perspective. It takes the focus off the detail so much and more on the text. Seems logical.

The one eyed alien is right!

If we have answered all the questions in the world, then life has no meaning. Science is all about answering the question. Without a question, there will be no answer to respond with.

They are 2 sides of the same coin, both equal in value. One cannot exist without the other. Questions encourage answers, and answers encourage a new question.

I think the best question is "why?"

Finally /r/atheism has a amazing post to share!

[–]Ask_Them_Why 0 points1 point ago

With "Why" its a never ending cycle of questions followed by answers followed by questions... One can say that Why is the source to infinite knowledge.

[–]xbxvx97 0 points1 point ago

I agree, but now I'm starting to think the big 5 Ws are the best questions ever.

Who What Where When Why

[–]why_ask_why -1 points0 points ago

Yep. Government scholars were debating that in Song Dynasty while Mongolian ware conquering China.

[–]grumpyoldfart 1 point2 points ago

Are there any answers?

[–]nikkikan 4 points5 points ago

No.

[–]grumpyoldfart 0 points1 point ago

At least your response is funny!

[–]owlsrule143 2 points3 points ago

Not sure

[–]Jumped_On_That 3 points4 points ago

Yes.

[–]yourfrigginguide -1 points0 points ago

Doesn't matter. What are the questions?

[–]Duthos 0 points1 point ago

42.

[–]WeLoveKanjimari 1 point2 points ago

what

[–]Boney_boner 1 point2 points ago

This was so good, I actually stopped looking at pictures of cats to read all of it. The humility and honesty in the last 3 panels gave me goosebumps.

[–]IgottaQ3012 0 points1 point ago

I loved this. Laid out in a great way.

[–]fljared -1 points0 points ago

Am I the only one who is sympathetic to the frog and not the cyclops? Science of for the answers, not the questions.

[–]THERON_13 0 points1 point ago

Yes, but scientific answers invariably raise further questions. Also, scientific answers have changed dramatically over the years. As much as I would like to say that our current understanding of the world is correct, in all likelihood that we don't know something that will change our understanding. So science isn't the answer or the question, it is a way of answering a question.

"matting process" lol

[–]SpeakerCone 0 points1 point ago

that was thoroughly entertaining. that's some expressive art. thanks for posting, sir.

[–]Duthos 0 points1 point ago

Brilliant.

[–]Nordlibris 0 points1 point ago

Upvoted for a really interesting comic. Downvoted for not linking to the source: http://www.kiriakakis.net/aday.html

[–]mathgod -5 points-4 points ago

Ehh... this comic is awfully wordy and long-winded, and comes off as pretty condescending.

[–]PlatinumToasterRape[S] 1 point2 points ago

It is meant to explain the concept to someone who doesn't understand. Think of the format as a 5 paragraph essay - strike the point home!

[–]josiahw 3 points4 points ago

Yes, but the art is amazing.

[–]TattedUpHead2Toe 0 points1 point ago

Its cute, but a little wordy for a comic and there are two pointless characters.

[–]soseeflare 1 point2 points ago

TattedUpHead2Toe has spoken.

[–]Wonthebiggestlottery 0 points1 point ago

I find the two characters remarkably similar to the Scientist (Jumba) and his sidekick (Pleakley) from Lilo and Stitch

[–]Jdf121 -2 points-1 points ago

TL;DR

[–]Duthos 0 points1 point ago

I like how you took the time to say you don't have the time.
