I believe the true story is that Teddy Roosevelt was shot before giving a lengthy speech. He took a round in the chest, but he wasn't coughing up blood. As an experienced hunter, he reasoned that his lungs were not punctured, so he ignored pleas that he accept immediate medical attention and went on to deliver an excoriating diatribe about the unholy alliance of big business and big government he believed to be usurping control of the Republican Party.

I believe the true story is that 50 Cent was shot 9 times at close range with a 9mm handgun. With wounds to the thigh, hand, chest, face, and arms, it's doubtful that any reasonable human being would stand a significant chance of fleeing, much less giving a speech.

It may take more than a single shot that barely penetrated to "kill a bull moose," but nine rounds from a handgun would probably have done the trick.

After reading this for the thousandth time, I asked my history professor about it last year. He laughed and said he knew exactly what I was talking about because he saw it too. This is what he told me.

  1. 50 Cent was shot with multiple life threatening bullets in one night. He was bleeding out pretty badly and it wasn't as if the bullet barely grazed him. He was actually shot.

  2. Teddy, as great as he is, was a smart man when it came to hunting. He was shot, but the bullet barely penetrated him and he knew that he wasn't going to die because he knew it didn't cause any internal bleeding or hit any organs.

50 Cent isn't a wuss (at least that I know of), but Teddy is still a bad ass.

Not sure how much of a repost this is. The originals were made for the Smithsonian and were branded something like "Smithsonian: Historically Hardcore". The Smithsonian didn't appreciate the funny free publicity and demanded they stop. This on is branded "Museums: Historically Hardcore", so the content creator probably re-released, making a repost excusable in my opinion.

Also, fuck you re-post nazis. You've already seen it? Hit your back button and move on, let the people who havent seen it have a laugh.
