The one about the hamster really made me laugh. My cousin had a pet bird that died while she was on vacation, so my grandma (who had been watching the bird) bought another one in a completely different color. When my cousin asked about it, they told her that birds change color in the summer. She was 10 and she completely bought it.

I work for PBC (pabst brewing co, makers of Schlitz) and this is personally, my favorite beer. Brought back the 1960's formula and loving it. AMA

Hey hottschott, I wonder if you can't shed some light on something for me.
I fell in love with Schlitz before they brought back the classic formula, when it was sold in 12-pack cans for about $6. Are they still making that beer, or did they completely convert to the new (old) recipe?

Well foundtheseeker, I hope you can rekindle that old flame. They no longer brew that formula anymore...deviated too far from the original. Got cheap. Now its back to its classy, crispness. From the portfolio's website:

"After eight years in the Pabst portfolio, Schlitz reintroduced its popular 1960’s Gusto formula in 2007. This premium, full-bodied lager is a true testament to timeless American taste and lifestyle."

Oh, my flame never died. The classic formula is smooth, crisp, and absolutely delicious--full of gusto, indeed.
I just miss the old one--it was sharp, almost like a pale ale of some sort. And my first true love of beers.

If you want to address slackeyed the table-poster, you might want to reply to that comment directly and not mine so down-stream. And address him/her by name. It's right there.

But not in this case. It doesn't matter if you've only been onboard for 2 months or 2 days or 2+ years. There are tools like KarmaDecay that you can use to check if you're posting something original. Even Reddit search (upper right of every page) of "Schlitz" showed this was old hat.

I'm not being a dick. Post whatever you want. But reposts are generally derided here, if not drawn and quartered. The tools are there, and - from what I've seen - "I'm new" is quite possibly the worst excuse you can use.

Most days I feel like this website is bombarded with various posts and comments that are sexist in nature. This post doesn't come off that way, to me at least. It just looks like she was trying to make them a nice meal and was unsuccessful and he was trying to cheer her up.

I agree. I tend to be the one to cook dinner but not because I'm female, but because I want to learn how to cook well. I've been there before... it sucks to ruin a meal when you've spent so much freaking time and effort on it. When your partner is nice about it, it's less terrible.
