He was a wonderful cat! He let all the other cats eat before him. I've never seen that before. The only time he scarred me was when I tried to take him swimming in an inflatable pool.

I think I was 4 and it seemed like a great idea at the time. The next thing I remember is sitting in the shower with blood dripping all over my chest.

Theory: Toxoplasma Gondii (brain parasites from cats) causes"William's Disease" (a disease whose symptoms include dangerously trusting children and facial deformities around the eyes, ears, nose, upper lip and chin.)

You're mixing up your diseases. Williams' disease is an entirely different thing. Toxoplasma infection may increase certain types of risky behavior in humans (such as increasing risk of traffic accidents) but will otherwise be asymptomatic beyond initial infection. Source: a colleague of mine works in a Toxo lab.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but Williams' syndrome is caused by deletion of 26 genes from chromosome 7. Toxoplasma in utero will cause hydrocephaly and (often) spontaneous abortion, due to the acute immune response in the mother. Toxoplasma infection at any point after birth will result in a standard immune response (i.e. symptoms resembling a cold or flu), assuming the child is immunocompetent, and the parasite will go into dormancy as cysts in the brain.

Not going to bother to look the disease up, but can =/= will. It really is not that common to get toxoplasmosis during pregnancy. You can get tested to see if you've already had it. If you have, you don't have to really worry. Otherwise you can have someone else clean the litter box, or wear gloves and a mask then wash your hands afterwards if you wind up changing it yourself. Even better if your cat is an exclusively indoors cat.

Yeah, animals are able to sense the change in the woman. It's just a matter of if they care or not. If they do care they can become more protective, more cuddly, or unfortunately sometimes they can even act out. My puppy realized I was pregnant before I did. I don't know if she sensed a change in my scent or what, but she sniffed my stomach for the first time ever. A week later I took a test, and sure enough it was positive.

For those who feel inclined to downvote, please explain- I'd love to hear what you have to say.
