While I've never had it injected I can confirm that it is better than morphine. Morphine Sulphate doesn't have shit on Diluadid. Diluadid rapes migranes so hard that their grandchildren's grandchildren feel the assreaming.

Few years back I had a herniated disk (age 17) so I was no strangers to pain killers of all sorts. While I was on vacation a few weeks before my surgery, the pain was so abolulety intense I was unable to move, think, or even see straight. I was taken to the ER and given a large shot of Dilaudid. 5 minutes later I got out of my hospital bed and thanked EVERY staff member for being wonderful.

I still think I never formed an addiction to pain killers simply because, after Dilaudid, all others are candy.

Agreed. I just recently had emergency back surgery and (long story, short) the first day in the ER, they gave me morphine, which didn't do a dang thing to relieve my pain. Then they gave me dilaudid the second day. I think that "unfiltered magic in liquid form" is putting it lightly.

When I was six, my massively intelligent (though somewhat less socially adjusted) nine year old brother came to the conclusion that, since "morphin" wasn't a word, the creators must have made a typo and ended up with a bastardization of "morphine." He furthered his case to me by explaining the pain blocking effects of morphine with instances of the Rangers continuing to fight through otherwise bodily-destroying kung fu battles. Being as our parents didn't allow us TV at the time, neither of us had actually seen a entire episode. I'll never forgive that asshole for the heated (albiet futile) school yard debates his line of reasoning led me to over the next few years.

Normally (at least it was for me), when a kid young like that has knowledge of chemicals like that, they are smart enough to see through all the garbage they hear about it in school, and formulate their own opinions about it. This is what happened with me and heroin (clean now). I'm glad your brother is a happy dude. Cheers!

They considered banning it, but eventually what they did was censor the word morphin'. Even as a kid growing up in malaysia, I remember thinking that it was the dumbest thing ever... reasoning that kids were more likely to associate "morphin'" with drugs after the censorship rather than before due to the context of the show.
