Every college students dream, even better if the professor gives you a pdf of the book he wrote and doesn't make you buy it.

I guess it's a kind of "first problem". Here in Colombia people generally don't have the money to buy them so we use the library and the photocopier a lot. We buy books only after we check that we're actually going to use them in the long run.

I had one that would just have the chapters we were reading from each book in a photocopied bundle at the book store for 10-20 bucks. So awesome.

The actor's name is Tony Hale. This is a scene from arrested development. I can't quite remember what he was doing it for though. It is a great show to watch, if you have nothing else to do.

I emailed one of my professors ahead of time to ask if I could use a 1985 version of the textbook instead of the 1995 version (costs a penny plus four bucks shipping versus over $100).

He emailed back: yeah, no problem, the book hasn't changed much. All of the pertinent information is in the pdf slides I post online, anyway.

...that's the teacher way of saying, "Psh, you don't even need to buy the book if you read the slides."

well aren't you a lucky motherfucker. 2 of my classes have brand new books, and we HAVE to get those. theres quite a few hundred bucks right there. and another class, even the used books are about 175 dollars. such bullshit
