Exactly.

I understand that South Park's original joke was to highlight the idiocy of prejudice and just used redheads as an example of this, however due to the fact that they often appeal to the lowest common denominator that seems to have gone over the heads of their audience. Redheads get bullied all of the time due solely to their hair color, there are actual hate crimes committed against people with red hair. I was lucky in that I was never really bullied seriously because of my red hair, but even I had to face tons of stale and obnoxious jokes. JK Rowling made the Weasely's redheads because she loves the hair color and despised the bullying directed at redheads. Maybe you should follow her lead and keep this crap out of this subreddit.

It's amazing how quickly that joke gets old when you hear it constantly. When that episode first came out everyone I knew seemed to think it was the funniest thing ever to randomly point out that I didn't have a soul.

It's like "get back in the kitchen". You keep hoping it'll die so you don't have to hear it again and again and again and then it just doesn't leave you be.

Exactly! Last year in my speech class this kid did a speech about redheads, so I had to sit through 5 whole minutes of this kid making ginger jokes non stop and my entire class dying laughing at it. I don't think that most people know what it feels like to literally have an entire class laughing at you, all your friends, the girl you like, everyone. And the teacher didn't even do anything because apparently it's culturally ok to make fun of redheads like that, even in school. It's not ok and it gets incredibly tiring. I count myself lucky that that's my worst experience, other than that it's usually more sporadic. I love my red hair and do get a lot of compliments on it, but boy, sometimes it seems like more trouble than it's worth.

Honestly, bullying people because of their hair colour is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. I actually think it's way more stupid than racism of skin colour.
