Posting Rules:

  • If your rabbit has not eaten or used the litter box in the past 12 hours, call your rabbit-savvy vet immediately for an appointment. We are not qualified to properly diagnose and treat your pet and can only give suggestions.
  • No solicitation of votes (e.g. /r/aww didn't like my bunny). If you are cross-posting, just write (x-post /r/aww) in the title.
  • Be polite and give constructive criticism if you see or read anything concerning. Do not state something is bad without justifying your opinion. There is no need to be rude or personally attack a poster regardless of your emotional state.
  • Follow reddiquette and only downvote posts that violate subreddit rules or do not contribute to the discussion. Do not downvote because you do not agree with the poster. Everyone has the right to be heard.
  • Report any excessive reposts or posts that violate subreddit rules. Also, use the 'message the moderators' function next to the MODERATORS box and send a reason for the report and the link.
  • If your post does not show up in the 'new' tab, message the moderators with a link to your post. It may be caught in the automatic spam trap.
  • Please refrain from posting about breeding, bathing, or trancing your rabbits unless you are brave and willing to receive negative responses. Also note that /r/rabbits redditors feel strongly about spaying and neutering rabbits as it can be important to their health. Bathing and trancing can cause unnecessary stress to rabbits and not recommended unless vitally necessary.

Bunny mafia:

You, bring me the food or the cat over there gets it.

[–]kirbypaunch 3 points4 points ago

/r/aww hates bunnies :(

[–]AppropriateName 4 points5 points ago

/r/aww does not hate bunnies. It has tons of users submitting content and of all the content submitted only a minuscule amount will ever be seen.

Rabbits are the best. I don't like cats at all because they kept killing my babyrabbits when i didn't watch over them the whole time. HATE. CATS.

[–]Isalion 10 points11 points ago

To be fair though, it's their nature. You can't be angry with an animal that by instinct is a hunter. Shouldn't have left your baby rabbits with them ಠ_ಠ

Not all cats are ruthless bunny killing machines. In fact, my cat was best friends with my old bun. They would always play, go on adventures, groom each other, and at the end of the day they would curl up at the foot of my bed and sleep. I think my cat was sadder than I was when he passed away :(

Awww :'( I really love cats, always have, and now I've come to really love rabbits too. I want to have both.

I hate cats because they walk on kitchen counters. I find that gross D:

[–]darkkite23 0 points1 point ago

It's easy to train them not to do that.

[–]emmyshangalang[S] 0 points1 point ago

Really? I have grown up with dogs, so dunno much about cats. Just always been freaked out by that.

[–]darkkite23 -1 points0 points ago

Yeah. When my cat was a kitten, she jumped on the counter one time. My mom was washing vegetables when she did it, and my mom grabbed my cat's head and put it in the running water for like a second. My cat has never jumped on the counter again.

o.o

It sounds more awful than it actually was. It was mostly a shock to get a face full of water. She wasn't deprived of oxygen or in danger of drowning.

[–]emmyshangalang[S] 1 point2 points ago

I don't like judging, but was worried about the cat for a moment xD

[–]darkkite23 0 points1 point ago

I get it. It sounds awful, but it really wasn't. My cat is rather sassy and alpha, so my mom showed her that she was the alpha. (My mom is also incredibly alpha.)

[–]emmyshangalang[S] 1 point2 points ago

No, now you have explained, makes sense. We have a plant spray for my dog. Worked at first, then he discovered he liked chasing water... -.-'
