Cute, but if you hadn't already, place the bunny back where you found him. And in general, touching wildlife is a bad idea because you can easily transfer deadly diseases to them if you don't keep your hands clean. Sorry to be such a downer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that appears to be a wild cottontail. In most places, it is illegal to have one as a pet. Additionally, they don't make good pets because of their skittishness and nervousness towards people.

You might want to inform your friend that it's better in the rabbit's interest for her to release the bunny back to the wild before it becomes more reliant on humans for care. I wouldn't want your friend to get frustrated by bad habits when the baby bunny grows up and end up dumping it anyways.
