This guy is legit, I've seen his paperwork

[–]thewonderkind 54 points55 points ago

As a person who has also seen his paperwork, I can confirm this.

[–]KyleW17 46 points47 points ago

I called a buddy who's an expert on paperwork and he also said it checks out.

[–]LilGriff 45 points46 points ago

But it's just not a selling item right now, best I can do is $5.

[–]AngryKittehPoo 20 points21 points ago

[–]NRamzilla 1 point2 points ago

"So many albinos!"

[–]heemat 77 points78 points ago

How I feel when I see a 6'2" kid in the Little League World Series.

[–]wryan95 23 points24 points ago

That was one of the funniest scenes I've seen in awhile.

[–]nothingpersnal 38 points39 points ago

That must have been a hard scene for will smith to do, he does not make a very convincing angry black man.

[–]PensaCocaCola 15 points16 points ago

I was pleasantly surprised.

[–]heemat 2 points3 points ago

One of my favorite movie scenes. I recently had a baby girl (my first) and my buddy had twin girls. I sent him this clip and we made a pact to fuck with whomever comes to take our babies out on their first date.

[–]Stones25 0 points1 point ago

My buddy and I did this to a kid when he came over to a family party to hang out with my little cousin. Everyone thought it was hilarious.

[–]pizzaparty183 0 points1 point ago

You ever make love to a man?

[–]iambrittsy 20 points21 points ago

What is this from? I know I know this.

[–]intelligent_bubba 57 points58 points ago

The Benchwarmers.

[–]Skibumologist 17 points18 points ago

We had two kids over 6 foot (and fairly jacked as well), back when I was in little league. At the eastern regional in Bristol, CT we shared a bathroom with another team, and we'd have them go in and shave to scare the other team (the both had full, manly, beards).

[–]boy_america 0 points1 point ago

Remember having fun at Lake Compost? At least that is what my team called it.

[–]Gravesh 1 point2 points ago

Any person ever who lived in Western Connecticut must go to Lake Compounds at least once.

[–]adamernst 6 points7 points ago

how old are they? im 21 and dont have a full beard yet

[–]Lebowski_ 8 points9 points ago

To be fair, you probably never will.

[–]adamernst 1 point2 points ago

what? my dad didn't stop growing new hair until late twenties

[–]Lebowski_ 2 points3 points ago

probably

It's not uncommon for a man to not grow a "full" bear. Just ask any Asian, including me.

[–]gtrunkz 10 points11 points ago

Whoa man. I want to meet the people that CAN grow a full bear!

[–]adamernst 1 point2 points ago

yeah but my dad has one and I am irish/italian, and 50% colombian

[–]Lebowski_ 0 points1 point ago

I lived in South Florida for a while and was friends with a few Columbian's, and tbh not many of them (in their mid-20s) had facial hair. So maybe it's that side of your families genes that's holding your manliness back!

[–]FecalTaco 0 points1 point ago

get some minoxidil (over the counter) and you'll look like Grizzly Adams in 4-6 months. p.s. you're welcome

[–]Rawtashk 0 points1 point ago

Don't use that unless you actually need it for your balding problem. Seriously, don't.

[–]FecalTaco 0 points1 point ago

I used it for a few months 7 years ago, never had a problem. What should I be worried about?

[–]Rawtashk 0 points1 point ago

Did you need it, or did you just use it to try and grow a beard?

Any medication has a risk of side effects, so you shouldn't take it unless you need to. I take it, as well as propecia, but it's to control my hairloss. I'm sure that you're fine, it was just a word of warning to people.

[–]adamernst 0 points1 point ago

is that like testosterone? i dont want acne and bitch tits..

[–]FecalTaco 0 points1 point ago

No, it's the ingredient in Rogain. I used it with no side effects, aside from drying my skin out a bit, but that might not be the same for everyone.

[–]YesNoMaybe 0 points1 point ago

I played football against Stephen Davis when I was 12. It was like playing against someone's dad. And to be honest the rest of his team was equally as scary. We lost.

[–]Fgame 14 points15 points ago

DAMMIT BERNICE

[–]GeneralBlumpkin 5 points6 points ago

*Deep voice uh huh huh huhh

[–]dc5trbo 72 points73 points ago

For the record there are mutants like us out there. I was 6'5" 170 at the age of 12

[–]orthag 113 points114 points ago

We've got a live one, call in the orbital strike.

[–]therobotjeff 12 points13 points ago

Hold on a second. This installation has a substantial dollar value attached to it.

[–]ChocoboExodus 3 points4 points ago

Game over man... game over!

[–]irndk10 17 points18 points ago

Aaron Durley would like a word with you

[–]Surf_Bum 19 points20 points ago

I know him personally and he really was twelve. His younger brother was about the same height at that age.

Source: I played on the Saudi team in the LLWS two years prior.

[–]YOUHATEMEhiiloveyou 2 points3 points ago

I feeling his age and jersey number could be swapped!

[–]fyeahdmiles 0 points1 point ago

He just graduated high school. He is now 6'10" and has slimmed down some. He will play basketball for TCU.

[–]completelyclumsy 5 points6 points ago

Wow, and I thought my brother was bad. he's 6'3" at 13 years old, but he's super skinny. Did you also feel a bit isolated when towering over all your friends and classmates?

[–]dc5trbo 2 points3 points ago

I was super skinny too. Not so much anymore..... Anyways, yeah it was a bit tough, I got picked on a lot, I was different. I was laughing all the way to the bank in high school though because I started puberty at 9 and it was over by 13. All the other guys were just hitting it going into high school.

[–]nonsensical_zombie 3 points4 points ago

FUCK YOU BRO I STILL CANT GROW A BEARD

[–]dc5trbo 1 point2 points ago

I laughed way too hard at this. Hey man, some guys can't. My dad never could and my brother can't. I can grow a beard like it's nothing, but I went bald at 23. Win some, lose some I guess.

[–]drmoocow 6 points7 points ago

You sound like my cousin Owen. You're not my cousin Owen, are you?

[–]Nymaz 10 points11 points ago

Huh, coincidentally you sound like my uncle Owen. You're not a charred corpse, are you?

[–]feddz 4 points5 points ago

Wait I am 6'7 and my name is Owen. Am I your cousin?

[–]dc5trbo 1 point2 points ago

Lol, no. I'm sorry, I am not.

[–]HYPERNATURL 2 points3 points ago

jesus, really? How tall are you now?

[–]dc5trbo 2 points3 points ago

Still 6'5" unfortunately. Just grew really fast then stopped.

[–]laura117 4 points5 points ago

Unfortunately?!?

[–]dc5trbo 2 points3 points ago

Yeah man, I wanted to be like 7'

[–]MoOdYo 2 points3 points ago

Same here dude, I'm 6'4" ~210 and I've been ABOUT the same size since my freshman year of high school.

Actually transferred to a high school with a better sports program because we all thought I was going to be enormous and dominate all sports...

Now, 11 years later, I'm the same size >.<

[–]dc5trbo 0 points1 point ago

I wish I could say I was the same size. I'm he same height, just 100 pounds more than when I graduated high school.

[–]yakattackpronto 2 points3 points ago

Nah dude, my little brother ended up at 6'7", and finding that kid clothes that fit correctly is like trying to dress an over-sized orangutan. Not to mention he hits his head on EVERYTHING.

EDIT: Point is, being 7' sounds like a practical nightmare.

[–]dc5trbo 1 point2 points ago

Oh I know it. My little brother grew later on in life, like between sophomore and junior year. He's 6'8" now, and you are right, can't find clothes. Although we learn to duck a lot so we don't hit our heads.

[–]yakattackpronto 2 points3 points ago

Yeah... since apparently we're all coming out of the caves here, I was 6'3" at 13. Not sure of the weight, though.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]yakattackpronto 0 points1 point ago

Yeah. I'm still 6'3", haven't grown since 8th grade.

[–]dickwhistle 2 points3 points ago

I can vouch for this guy. When i was in third grade there were two kids in my class that were 5'10 and 6'1.

[–]MonkeyFu 1 point2 points ago

I was 6'4" by 12. I got stretch marks for my heroic growing effort.

[–]Shiroyu 2 points3 points ago

6'5" by the age of 14/15 here. I've also got some gnarly stretch marks.

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]dc5trbo 1 point2 points ago

Me too. I am still 6'5". I remember planning on being taller but I haven't grown an inch.

[–]Doctor_Bombay 1 point2 points ago

How does one go about making plans to be taller?

[–]dc5trbo 1 point2 points ago

Sorry, that does sound kind of weird. I meant like, I would still buy jeans a bit too big, or I wouldn't buy expensive clothes, because I figured I would grow out of them. When I was 16 I looked for only full size pickup trucks because I figured I would grown more and I couldn't fit in anything.

[–]fuck_aina_BROR 1 point2 points ago

I was fully grown heightwise by 13, 6'3. It was really hard, until I turned 16 when it got awesome.

[–]Capps14e 1 point2 points ago

Yeah, I was around 6'2.

[–]mgr86 1 point2 points ago

I reached my full height of 6ft in 7th grade. 15 years later I haven't grown since....my poor penis

[–]dc5trbo 1 point2 points ago

I'm..................sorry?

[–]bacchus8408 1 point2 points ago

At least you were only 170. In my 13th birthday I was 6'4" 250.

[–]dc5trbo 0 points1 point ago

Yeah I was skinny as hell. I was 180 when I graduated high school. I'm 280 now.

[–]Hoodooz39 0 points1 point ago

My son is 12 and has a friend that is 6'4 and was 6'0 by the end of 4th grade.

[–]dingermv09 9 points10 points ago

You smell like beer... you look like beer!

[–]Rmeder1 1 point2 points ago

I need a refill.

[–]Dingfresh 8 points9 points ago

There are parents in my town that have held their kids back in school so they'll have an advantage in sports.

Nothing like a 16-year-old eight grader...

[–]berychance 3 points4 points ago

Considering that all youth sports are based on age and most HS sports have an age limit (usually 19 or 20 unless you get a waiver, which is woefully unlikely in this case) that's awfully short-sighted.

[–]ExtraChaos 4 points5 points ago

Richie told me about the serial killers thats loose in in our neighborhood killing anyone named Howie! THAT'S MY NAME! That's my name!

[–]annielovesbacon 18 points19 points ago

Relevant: Near where I live, a mother got all bent out of shape because her TWELVE YEAR OLD son, who is 6'1" and 300 pounds, got kicked out of Pee-wee football (where the weight limit is 150).

[–]XenasGirl 4 points5 points ago

As someone how had to always bring their birth certificate to my Rugby league matches, because I always aleast 30cm taller then the other kids. I understand their pain. But banning someone because their too big? So they where like "hey you might be big enough to play pro sometime, but you cant play now or for the next 5 years."

[–]annielovesbacon 15 points16 points ago

I understand why they would be upset, but the rule is understandable, because the kid could accidentally hurt the other kids who weigh less than half of what he does. It sucks and it isn't fair, but it was to make sure those 80-pound little boys didn't get smushed.

[–]Hristix 7 points8 points ago

It's for the kid's own good. Would you rather live with the emotional trauma of killing/paralyzing/injuring a lot of people in your youth or not being allowed to play little league football?

[–]CartmanVT 2 points3 points ago

I broke a kid's hand while playing soccer once. I was about 50-70 lbs heavier than most kids. I later ended up playing tuba with him in middle school. No bad blood, it was a rainy day and I got all ball. He had slipped in front of the ball and was just where my foot was landing. I felt bad for a bit, but it is a contact sport.

Also gave a kid a bloody nose cause he stepped into the path of the ball after I kicked it. There was actually talk of taking me out of that game though. My coach just told me not to kick the ball so hard for the rest of the game...

[–]Hristix 0 points1 point ago

Eh it's easy to break hands and bloody noses in soccer, even if you're a skinny short kid. Even 100 pounds of force on a hand is well enough to break some bones depending on how you land on it. Worst injury I had ever given in soccer was when I had the ball and was running, and the player behind me kept intentionally kicking me with his cleats in that tendon just above my heel, so I planted my feet and stopped pretty much instantly. I think he sprained something because he tried to stop too but wasn't ready for it. I got a yellow card for it but he got one too when I showed the coach that the whole back of my leg was fucked up from being kicked repeatedly with metal cleats.

[–]Bejezus 0 points1 point ago

I gave a kid a concussion while playing soccer. Playing left wing, inside the opponents 18 yd box, my teammate had placed a great cross right inbetween myself and the goalie. We were probably about 3 feet from the left goal post, and we collided, and his head smacked the post. Knocked him out cold.

I was 12. Pretty horrifying watching him being taken away in an ambulance while all the kids are on their knees and knowing I did that to him.

[–]annielovesbacon 0 points1 point ago

I agree!

[–]IsThatYourBed 5 points6 points ago

no, they told him he had to go play in the league up where he'd be with kids his own size. the kid/his mother threw a hissy fit cause he wanted to beat kids 1/3 his size

[–]Hristix 5 points6 points ago

It's the sheer mass of the bigger player that's the issue. 300lbs is a lot of weight..I weigh around 200lbs and not a weakling myself and if a 300lb person jumped on top of me I'd probably have a pretty goddamn bad day. I couldn't imagine a kid with that kind of weight put on them, they wouldn't be able to breathe assuming they were still alive after the impact.

[–]The_Ghost_of_BRoy 2 points3 points ago

The key is that this is a pee-wee football, essentially the "intramural league" of the kid's city/town. They suggested that he play for his middle school team, where the talent is greater and size is less of an issue/danger due to the size/athleticism of his opponents. Instead, he wanted to get his feet wet in pee-wee because he lacks experience.

It's not like he's completely barred from playing at all; just in a more recreational league where his extra size could seriously fuck up some 115lb 7th graders.

[–]asshat2010 0 points1 point ago

mesquite. now i know where you live!

[–]annielovesbacon 1 point2 points ago

I don't live in Mesquite, just in the D/FW area. Try to find me, motherfucker!

[–]D2TheO2The2GIE 0 points1 point ago

Annie are you okay?

[–]maxfoley 31 points32 points ago

Benchwarmers is a highly underrated movie.

[–]Lebowski_ 11 points12 points ago

as a Benchwarmer's reference gets upvoted to the front page

[–]MinneapolisNick 26 points27 points ago

No, it's not. It's really not.

[–]Get_Soggy 3 points4 points ago

what movie is this from?

[–]CaptainRumBucket 5 points6 points ago

The Benchwarmers

[–]whoisrich 0 points1 point ago

[–]Jsleezy 2 points3 points ago

MARIAAAAA

[–]Mitz510 2 points3 points ago

My favorite part of the movie is where they hand a midget to sand random big buff guy. Too bad I can't find the video.

[–]smurker 2 points3 points ago

More like twelve hundred..

[–]kodywiddak 2 points3 points ago

that's a lot of albinos

[–]nightcreeper8 1 point2 points ago

I love that movie.

[–]Hristix 1 point2 points ago

Not to sound racist or anything but when the high school I attended plays against a certain inner city school it is ridiculously mismatched when it comes to player size. You've got white teenage boys who, at best, are 6'2". Maybe two or three of them. None of them are really truly ripped, no six pack abs, no gigantic arm muscles, etc. Just like slightly athletic teenage boys. There were one, maybe two, black kids at my high school and they weren't even into sports.

The other team was almost entirely black and almost all of them were 6'2" or taller and looked like star NFL players. They were fairly evenly matched in terms of game skill, but occasionally one of the other team would receive a pass and then proceed to run a touchdown with three guys hanging on to them.

[–]the8atman 0 points1 point ago

Reminds me when I was in middle school there was this one black kid who had a physique that could be on the cover of a fitness magazine. He was average height but to this day I have this image burned in my memory of him doing curls in the locker room, fucking protruding six pack abs and huge arms and chest. Mind you he was probably 13 or 14. I found out that day that life just isn't fair.

[–]Neodymium 0 points1 point ago

Being black has it's downsides too you're aware?

[–]DelianSK13 0 points1 point ago

Yeah! There aren't any black hockey stars!

[–]RadiolarianChert 0 points1 point ago

I was 6'1" when I was 12.

Then grew and inch a year for the next two years.

Was the 2nd tallest kid on the Jr. High basketball team.

[–]AGuyFromKansas 0 points1 point ago

Are you talking about the kid that was 6'2 180lbs from the Bahamas? That kids not a pitcher hes a damn college football player!

[–]taylortheblondie 1 point2 points ago

How do you feel when there's a kid on California thats 6'3?

[–]Slim01111 0 points1 point ago

I'm from Petaluma! That's where the Cali team is from

[–]taylortheblondie 0 points1 point ago

Aha I'm from the Bay Area too .^

[–]Smileylol 0 points1 point ago

Like that chinese kid who was throwing 85 mph?

[–]dromoderi 0 points1 point ago

Aaron Durley, 6'9 245 lbs., met him on a flight back to Saudi Arabia once. He played in the '06 Little League World Series: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Durley

[–]ked21 0 points1 point ago

Oh shit, he's going to play in the Big East? Good luck to him. I remember watching him, he was a monster.

[–]DarthSontin 0 points1 point ago

Don't worry guys, they make sure that never happens

[–]meredith578 0 points1 point ago

i feel ya, man

[–]Cyberslasher 1 point2 points ago

Wasn't the kid actually 6'3"?

[–]tbone466 0 points1 point ago

If we're all thinking the same kid from California-Tennessee today which I think we are then yes, he was 6'3", 183 pounds. There's a kid on Curacao I believe who is 6'2" (they listed the tallest players this year). Mexico has a kid who pitched against the Canadians the other day who is 5'9", 219 pounds with the greasiest ponytail.

[–]brvheart 1 point2 points ago

I mean, I agree with you, but at the same time, my 12 year old is 6'1".

[–]Mr__Random 1 point2 points ago

as someone who used to play rugby those kids are nit how old they say, I was playing under 15's and there was a kid with a fucking beard who flat out admitted to being 19 after the game and said he and his friends (yes there were more of them, at least 5) were playing to ensure their under 15's won

[–]NuWDLES 0 points1 point ago

He's got documentation!!!

[–]Po0zleP0under -1 points0 points ago

Thank you for not posting an overused GIF, I am getting tired of those. I was half expecting that with this title, but you made my day.

"This is how I feel trying to get to the frontpage", insert and overused fail gif. Is anyone else getting annoyed by those?

[–]Viae 0 points1 point ago

Never mind that, I saw one of them who's four inches shorter and five years younger than me but outweighs me by forty pounds.

What the fuck, Mexico.

[–]emilythegirl 0 points1 point ago

How I feel when I want to order something off of the kid menu in a restaurant with an age limit...

[–]chthonodynamis 0 points1 point ago

As that 6'2" kid that played little league I can tell you shit like that happened a lot... except I was actually 12.

[–]grigorG 1 point2 points ago

this film is sick

[–]HoboJoe278 1 point2 points ago

I was 6'4 in 8th grade (13)

[–]toolman92 0 points1 point ago

As someone from the Williamsport area I think the same thing when I see them walking to their games

[–]tonytwotokes 1 point2 points ago

Two words: Danny Alamonte

[–]Desiccant 1 point2 points ago

I have a 6'2" 12 y/o on the soccer team I coach. We nicknamed him Gigantor.

Last year during practice my assistant coach challenged him for a ball. It was a long time before I let my assistant live down getting run over by a 12 y/o.

[–]trimby17 0 points1 point ago

"you look like beer"

[–]nothingpersnal 0 points1 point ago

My little brother played with the kids that won it last year, (he did not make the final team because it was stacked) There were a few people on the team taller than me, and I'm 5"11, Not only that but because of their size you forget how young they are, but when you see them in person you see they are just like every other 12 year old.

[–]Groffon 0 points1 point ago

I feel yoy

[–]mofontes 0 points1 point ago

Danny Almonte...remember him. He was like 15.

[–]e_to_the_pi_i_plus_1 0 points1 point ago

6'1" as a twelve year old.

[–]Wreckedified 0 points1 point ago

My friend when we played little league (I think he was 12) was 6'2'' His mom constantly was asked for a birth certificate (He was really good too, which I am sure is why she was asked, he is playing for a good college now) but I always thought it was funny that people would ask the umps to ask her for it and she always had it right there

[–]zeedevil 0 points1 point ago

My friend was 6'2" in 6th grade and played in the Little League World Series. It does happen.

Also, he's in the NFL now. Some people are just gifted.

I remember a few years ago a kid threw a perfect game and then it was discovered he was to old. It's not uncommon for little assholes to lie in regular little league. My town had 5 teams compete...one team went undefeated. The undefeated team had kids that were as old as 14 (12 is the limit) but no one bothered to stop them from cheating.

Can you post a picture of yourself?

This part of the movie makes me crap my pants every god damn time.

I hate 90% of the jokes in this film, but this one part just throws me over the edge of laughville and into the pit of loluntilyoushityourself way.

I've actually met the kid. He is definitely 12

THAT GUY IS FROM PRISON BREAK!!!!

As a grown 28 year old man I am 6'6" and 250lbs.

At age 13 I was 6'3 and 170. I'm not saying that those kids aren't actually grown up. Just that it's not exactly a wild claim to say they are.

"This one is for W.S. Churchill!"

There was a kid that was about that big back when I was in middle school. He had some disease where he just kept growing.

It was always kind of sad because it was always the parents being dicks to him not the other kids.

"More like twelve hundred!" one of my favorite lines in that whole movie.

"welp, all of his documents seem to be in order--play ball!"

I was 6'0 in sixth grade. It was such a pain in the ass for my parents whenever it came to getting kids prices for shit that was for kids 14 and under and I always got shit from other coaches when playing basketball and soccer. My parents just started carrying a copy of my birth certificate.

I know I will be down voted for this, but I am a 5th/6th grade teacher and taught a 6'2" 12 yr old last year. It was crazy having to look up and talk to him and hear him respond back in his little boy voice.

I freaking love this movie.

Geez where do you guys live ? When I was 12 I was 5'4" and 130 lbs and I was the second biggest kid in class.

[–]Dislexior 0 points1 point ago

If I'm not mistaken there was a 6'9" child a few years back from Saudi Arabia.

[–]TheNewScrooge 0 points1 point ago

I WAS JUST THINKING THIS

[–]dubsysee 0 points1 point ago

My cousin is almost fifteen, 6' 6", and wears a size sixteen shoe. I don't think anyone believes us when we tell people he's only fourteen. We always tell him he should play any sport (especially basketball) but he trips over his feet every time he walks.
